This thread is dedicated to Video Games. I don't care what people say, they are awesome and they aren't destroying society.
So, are you more Xbox or Atari?
Gush about it here.

I never even mentioned the stuff packs lol. Stuff I have Family Fun, Glamour Life, Teen Style, Kitchen And Bath Interior Design and Mansion And Garden. The Sims rocks my toe socks. I can't wait for Medievil because finally the neighbourhood I've been trying to build on Sims 3 can be a reality :D

Oh my god, I admire you for this. You're so into it. If I had the money, I would have all these packs & versions of the Sims too. A lot of people I meet only casually play this game, & their Sims are a product of this, which angers me, but I bet you actually take good care of them  ...idek

Believe me, this was the result of a LOT of self deprivation to attain these games. No busses to school for a while for me, or lunches for that matter. All about the addiction :p I do take excellent care of my Sims and spend alot of time manicuring my neighbourhood (A Georgian town based on the Twinbrook map named Illume) and my characters are my beloveds. My main character is one of my own construction named Neva whom I have been RPing on Harry Potter websites for years up until recently. She's a teen at the moment in a band with *ahem" I'll give you a clue: Starts with L and ends with Indsey :p Their band's named Buckingham Amos and they're currently working their way through the seedy bars while at high school and trying to make it. Even though I'm not a lover of children at all I do fully intend to allow them a large family once they're settled and on their feet in the industry. I even have their names picked out :o:o (Lilac, Milo, Poppy, Georgie, Harry and Vianca). Yep. My Neva and Lindsey are broody as anything already. It's lucky that teens can't breed in the game. That's all I'm saying lol. Gah...I need help :p But really...Sims is one of my biggest loves. It's grown up with me and given me friends where otherwise they were absent. I can still see me playing and loving in years and years to come :p

I was a bit of a gamer over the years and I still am now. From Sega Genesis to Wii and DS (my current consoles), I've played a lot over the years. While I do play modern systems, I've been having some throwback fun recently, like playing SNES games on the Sci Fi Forum's 3-way console (I will make some progress on Super Castlevania IV...one of these days ) and my old Game Boy Color, which I just found today

funny enough had a discussion about this with a top mate today.
i currently have Xbox 360, ps2 and N64...

N64 though is my favourite console and always will be. Was my debut console as a kid and to this day, its still plugged in ready to play. Im a fan of car racing games(big car fanatic so explains 99% racing game collection) but n64 is to this day the only console i have played varied games! plus it has my all time favourite game on it which was also the first game aswell i had. to list the n64 which are more interesting anyway

N64
Banjo Kazooie
Banjo Tooie
Zelda Ocarina of time
Goldeneye
The world is not enough
formula 1(various titles)
and a few other boring ones!

my favourite being Banjo Kazooie. after all these years, never get bored of it even though i have completed it many many times :D

i did have a gameboy aswell which i played all my Pokemon games on, that also had many hours of my life and many batteries being used !

This was totally deep  But really...it's just so intriguing to me as well...something I can actually control in my life. I just made Stevie & Lindsey not too long ago and tried to decorate their house the way I thought It would look, but it was a major fail. I need the Sims 3, might be able to do more stuff with it in the Stevie/Lindsey aura.

Sims 2
Guitar Hero 3 + Aerosmith
New Blood (Surgery Game)
Hells Kitchen ^_^
Raving Rabbids
Spyro
Crash
Mario 1,2,3...

& my favorite of all time, that I had for xBox.... Prince of Persia, sands of time  It was the only game in the genre I was kick butt at.

I'm surprised that, since you had a N64 that you didn't have the original Super Smash Bros. I loved that game when I was little. Brawl is good, but not quite the original

You would really love The Sims 3. The graphics are amazing and there's so much more involvement with the neighbourhood and more things to do. I found really good Lindsey and Stevie premade Sims to download (Lindsey's Tusk era and Stevie I think is around Big Love era) which are absolutely fabulous to use as bases. I always mess with the Lindsey though and take him back to his White Album/Rumours Days (The outfit is modelled on the blue jeans and shirt look with the burgundy waistcoat thingeh and sock with sandals) to fit better with my Neva's age.

This thread is awesome.

I'm especially loving all the Legend of Zelda mentions, I'm a huge Zelda fan. It all started with the SNES iteration, A Link to the Past. Other than the LoZ series, I mostly played RPGs growing up (Final Fantasy and the like) but now that I'm older and busier and haven't got 30-50 hours to invest in a game anymore, (the exception being Fallout 3) I've been leaning more towards action-oriented games and FPS. They usually clock in around 10-15 hours.

I haven't counted the collection in a while, but I have around 200 games. Sad, I know, but I bought most of it used. My parents didn't like the idea of spending money on that kind of thing, so I did lots of odd jobs as a kid. Mostly mowing lawns. It helps that the grass grows so fast in south Louisiana.

These are the consoles I own:

Super Nintendo
Sega Genesis
Sega Saturn
Playstation
Nintendo 64
Sega Dreamcast
Playstation 2
Nintendo Gamecube
Xbox
Xbox 360
Playstation 3

And I've got a couple of handhelds; a DS Lite and a PSP

My PC still makes for a decent gaming rig, but I recently downgraded and sold off my graphics card (from a GeForce GTX 590 to a 9800 GT :(). No more Mafia 2 for me. C'est la Vie.

So, what're y'all playing right now? It's Marvel VS. Capcom 3 for me.

Wario Land 3
Alice in Wonderland

Gameboy Advance:

I Love Video Games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started out playing Pinball when I was superyoung (3). My grandfather would take me to the bus station to play it! I was 6 when Pac Man came out. I was then officially hooked!

Systems I have:
Magnavox Odyssey 4000 (1976)
http://i51.tinypic.com/t98prd.jpg
(this has games 'built in' to the console)

Magnavox Odyssey 2
http://i51.tinypic.com/ie4efa,jpg

Atari 2600
Atari 7800

Mattel Intellivision
http://i56.tinypic.com/wqufwp.jpg

NES
Sega Genesis
SNES
Nintendo 64
Nintendo GameCube
Playstation 2
XBox360
Nintendo DS

It would take who knows how many pages to say all of the games I like!

Love video games :D

The very first games I truly loved was Final Fantasy 8 and Resident Evil 2. I still love playing Claire's story, even though I can still get a little freaked out. I love all the Castlevania's that aren't on any of the current consoles. Especially the one's Creepingdeath picked, namely Aria of Sorrow.

Right now I play only PC games, especially WoW. Except for the occasional time I plug up the PS2 for some RE4 or FFX :)

:blob2: I love this thread. My favourite series are Zelda, Spyro, Sonic, Metal Gear Solid, Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto, Oddworld, Mass Effect... I didn't start playing Mass Effect until late last year but it just might be my favourite. Both games are amazing, love the continuity, setting, dialogue system, characters, story, gameplay. Can't wait for the third this year!!

On the subject of new games I played Dead Space 2 with some mates the other night... oh my :distress:

I always wanted to play GTA but I have neither the console nor the time to do so. That and something called "Bully". I don't agree with the subject matter at all, but dangit the gameplay looks fun. I once sat and watched my younger cousin play and I was dying to grab the (joystick? Controller?) off of him to play.

Hehe. If I ever get sick of Sims 3 and Sims Medievil I should try it out. A tenner is very reasonable indeed so if I don't like it I shouldn't be too out of pocket. I really want to find a version of Medievil (The Playstation game) on PC though because I miss that game so much. It's the only Zombie fighting game that ever got me addicted.

Oh you should try it if you ever find yourself playing an old school Playstation again. It's one of the absolute classics in my view (Says the girl who collected Rugrats games :p). You should fix the Sims 3 thing! Late Night and Ambitions are an absolute revelation to the series. YES. YES. YES. I've spent more time playing that damned mini-game than the actual game  Using it to get the Ultimate Weapons in Disk 1 is oh-so-very-satisfying.

OMG, you got the Lionheart on disc 1?! That's dedication. Don't you hate it when a rule like Random spreads though? Drives me crazy.

BTW, now I'm feeling nostalgic for when you could describe what part of the game you were on by what disc you were on. :p

At least for systems, some games still have more than one disc. Dead Space 2 has two discs.

D'oh, that's true. I mainly play my PC & PS3, I forgot the X360 still uses the DVD format.
