Anyone willing, I was wondering if I could get rough estimates from any of those who have to be up close and use either brokers or eBay, what your 'ceiling' is on ticket prices. This is assuming you're willing to pay beyond the venue prices- If so, by how much and for how close?
If this is nosey and people don't want to play, I can ask to delete or lock this thread.
A poll would confuse me right now. Simple is better I think.
MY cieling, I think would be $390 per ticket, and likely would prefer to buy just one or two- BUT I have a hard to achieve specification- Has to be in the first 3 rows only, in the case of The Mohegan Sun, I'd want section 2, would settle for section 1, and probably take section 3. There's a buy it now for the Mo Sun at about $1100 for a pair, but it is in the fourth row, D. I wouldn't go $550 per ticket anyway. Would I? No.
So, what's everybody's standards, if you're willing at all to pay broker prices, and your 'cieling'?
Has anyone yet bought a front or second row ticket for this tour?
I'm more interested in her solo tour after the cd drops, and might up the ante for the first 2 rows without Rod Stewart on the bill.
I admit, I can be a little stupid about paying above ticket price to get what I want, and also perhaps I am being too cheap, for what I want.
Oh, hell- two last questions- do any or many of you have 'moral issues' that it is wrong to pay beyond venue cost and fees? I don't think I do, never did before, but I also haven't done it a lot.
Now, the bigger question- maybe- would you be more willing or less willing to "overpay" with Rod Stewart headlining? I've never felt a need to see him perform before, let alone up close, but wouldn't mind it. I hear people leave happy.
I hope that my usual wordiness doesn't murk things up for people willing to disclose their views.
It's not like it's nothing to me, I guess I want to stress, should anyone think I'm being boozshee. Sorry, I like it spelled that way.
To clarify, I don't mean this in any 'grand' or bragging way, it's not like I can afford to throw away money and I do feel for people on budgets. I hate to make it sound 'wrong'.
Incidentally, if I do 'go for it' it would be on a credit card, and likely I'd pay for it over a period of 3 months, so $800ish for 2 tickets with fees wouldn't seem as high, that way, to me.
But I'm nuts, as y'all know.
How 'nutty' would anyone else here go to git what they want? None of my damn business?
