Oh, how lucky for those students who get to work with the crew. That's pretty exciting news, if that had happened to my high school, I'd be giddy.

Very interesting. How many Ledgies have their airline tickets booked for West Palm Beach?

I do! I do! But for the wrong week. :( I"m heading down there a week earlier to visit family. Ok, really i'm going to get the heck out of this miserable winter. I really was hoping to get down there for the Ft. Lauderdale show, but work got in the way.

Maybe Stevie and crew will arrive early for some R&R. I"ll definitely be keeping my eyes open for any sightings. I'll have to figure out where the school is too...My mom is only about 15 mins south of WPB.

In one of those recent radio interviews, she said that she will not show up until the production rehearsal three days before opening night.

I've got my tickets for FTL. Can't wait! :blob1:

Yeah, I heard her mention that too. I'll still keep my eyes open for anyone in her band. You never know!

I'm probably going to LA the weekend before the album drops. With my luck, Stevie will be in NY that same time promoting. Hehe. But maybe not...perhaps i'll get lucky and get to go some release event out there.

But, enjoy FTL...both the show and hopefully the weather! I'm sure you are as ready to flee this part of the country as I am. Are you staying by the beach or closer to the arena?

Lawd child, I'm over and done with this winter! FTL is just going to be a quick weekend for me (Friday night to Monday early morning), so I'm absolutely going to take advantage of every second. The beach is a forgone conclusion! I am so ready for shorts and sandals!

Amen to that!! Ahh...3 days is good down there. Then again I only say that cause i stay with family. Plus it's only a little over a 2 hour flight from here. Sometimes when it takes me FOREVER to commute to work, I think about how I could have been in Florida in the same time.

Two hours? By Concorde, perhaps. :p My ticket says it's 3.5 hours from JFK. I wish I had three days. I literally leave the office on Friday afternoon and head straight to the airport. I am going to be a zombie the following week, but I'm sure it will be worth it. I think Bermuda is actually a shorter flight, and I seriously considered a long weekend there in December. But then I read about Bermuda's regressive/conservative attitudes and decided against it. I believe Bermuda has the highest number of churches per capita in the entire world.

It's absolutely not 3.5 hours, unless you get stuck on the runway. I fly from Newark to Palm Beach (occassionally to/from FLL) at least 2-3 times a year and it's only like a little over 2 hours in the air. Sometimes longer heading back up if it's during a rush hour period or redirect cause of bad weather between here and there.

Yeah, Bermuda is like a 90 minute flight. Did that from JFK a few years back. It was really quicker than driving down to the Jersey Shore or out to the Hamptons. I went before the economic bust and things were still thriving. It's a cute island and the people I interacted with were really nice. You can't rent a car though. Only scooters and taxis for non-residents.

I'm guessing the school they're going to rehearse at is G Star --- they have a sound stage there. Celine Dion rehearsed there also.... the school's off for Spring Break the week before the concert... and I'm in town that week ....and since I live 10 minutes from Rod's house, maybe I'll follow 'em down to the school ;)

I'm pretty positive that's the school. Where is it? I'm pretty familiar with the area.

No offense, but the only people I know near West Palm Beach are a bit old to care about Stevie lol, but I didn't know young people lived down there

Oh yeah, and as for flying to there, it takes a tad under 3 hours from MacArthur (yes, that rinky-dink airport on the Island that's basically owned by Southwest, but it sure beats schlepping into LaGuardia or JFK)

I'm pretty sure it's around Congress and Forest Hill near the YMCA - years ago I "coached" some kids there for a class they were doing in production.....

And also to everyone who thinks that it's old down here...
all the old ones are from up north - the youngsters are from here.....

Thanks. I know exactly where that is. My mom is off of Jog and Hypoluxo. That's maybe a 10 minute ride.

And yeah, there's the older contingent down there and I don't live there, but I visit often enough to know that there is a high school and elementary school on every other corner, so there are plenty of people not curently sporting the gold lame and waiting in line with the coupon for the early bird.
