Does anyone think that this single could be the next Rooms on Fire, doing better overseas.

Well besides the rather Euro-pop production of Rooms on Fire it was released just one year after Tango had most recently sat atop the UK charts and sold like gangbusters in much of western Europe so ROF was able to catch that wave besides being a great single IMO.These days I think Stevie's cult is strongest in the US. as it really always was.I am hoping Secret Love begins to move on the Billboard AC charts as well .That is still the most credible one.

I'm not sure I buy this. The only place Crystal Visions has went gold is Australia. Overseas does not just mean Europe.

You're right about Austrailia ..it kind of slipped my mind ..maybe because it has a population of roughly about half that of the state in which I live.

See, I find this funny because I have heard Born this Way on the radio a good dozen times this week, and I have yet to have heard Stevie's new song at all...

This an only an adult contemporary chart and not even Billboard which is more the definitive one..of course GaGa is going to get much .much more airplay on pop radio..Stevie Nicks is at this point in time a cult artist in her 60s and I for one am approaching expectations that way.. if she can get some airplay great,What I would like to have is a great and acclaimed piece of work that is a joy ot listen to .

I think the real reason it has done so well here, is because of a music store called JB HI-FI who retail Crystal Visions at $9.99 most of the time. Which is much cheaper than the initial price of around $30
Also our sales go by how many units have been shipped, not by how many units have actually sold. I think there are probably many many copies that are yet to even be sold.

$30, huh, more like$14 and it doesn't matter. Before 1991, all units were calculated that way. Many albums are calculated as platnimun or multi and haven't actually sold that much. The stores have to buy the records.

Well I paid about $26 for the CD/DVD version when it came out, People are definitely going to be more attracted to a Greatest Hits package when it's cheap.
I was just stating what I had personally observed. When I go to the Stevie Nicks section, there are always heaps of copies of CV but nothing of anything else. I don't deny that it's odd that Australia is the only place that CV has gone gold.
