How did you get together with Dave Stewart to work with him and would you work with him again in the future?

Excellent question! I like the smoking caterpillar one too. ;)

Is this a concept album, or just a random collection of songs you liked and wanted to record? If it is, what is the concept you built the album on?

What is it like being in a band with your ex and being addicted to cocaine? What are your thoughts on Lindsay Lohan? When is Fleetwood Mac getting back together??
;) Sorry, I just had to include those since I am sure that is all anyone is going to ask her anyway. Serious question tho:
Do you believe this will be your last full length studio album or has recording this album reinvigorated you to record more?

What do you think about people who criticize your work before they've had a chance to hear it and no matter what, it is never( the finished album) fulfills their expectations

Right now I'd ask her:
What is the track list? If any songs were cut, what are they and why?
What song(s) did Lindsey play on? How did Dave & Lindsey work together?
Do you think utilizing the new social tools on the internet to promote IYD will change or has changed your view of the web? Why or How?
How do you feel about the recent struggles of Warner Brothers and their $18 million loss and the impending sale? Do you think veteran label artists will survive another power shift and what are their survival options?

Stevie, look at these images:

Now tell me the first thing that comes to mind. Come on, don't be shy.
I'd ask her what her expectations of IYD are, if any. Was it something you wanted to do because you felt you still had something to say? Has this experience changed you in any way? And will you continue putting out more new music, even if the record isn't commercially successful?

Any songs that you considered for the album that you passed over because you did not think they belonged with the others that made the cut? If so, what were they?

I guess I would ask her why she released Secret Love first. I like the song, but no one has mentioned it as their favorite.

Yes, I wonder if that would have been Stevie's first choice too. Maybe the record company makes that decision.

Does she? Lindsey mentioned that the single chosen for his last record was not his choice.
I was thinking that the song could have been chosen based on its title, just for buzz, regardless of the content or quality of the tune. This week, I have seen at least 50 media outlets run with the title "Stevie Tells All." Of course, she told nothing. But they chose to hype the new single by suggesting that she was revealing an old love affair, which could entail juicy gossip. The term Secret Love lends itself to that type of speculation.
The other headlines all mentioned the Twilight vampire inspiration. So, those were the two tidbits about the upcoming album that garnered the most press. I know with podcasts, they are often described or summarized in terms that will get the most internet hits. Everything is structured for search engine optimization. I wouldn't be surprised if something similar was involved in the single selection process.
And, speaking of the internet, that would be another question I would ask Stevie, if she's aware of how David Stewart's use of the internet spearheaded and increased anticipation for her album and, if knowing that it can be used successfully to get the word out, it changes her views of the new medium at all.

No, she has too much clout and I have read many times that the artist has the final say so for song choice, eventhough they may have to do battle with the record company.
Stevie is pretty smart. Mentioning Twilight, getting herself on Glee. She knows what she is doing.

How what recorded tracks didn't make the final cut? Follow-up: How many unreleased songs/demos - that you've actually recorded on some level - have you amassed since the Buckingham Nicks days and how many albums could you release just using those tracks?

I would also like to know how many songs she wrote in the pat 7 years before collaborating with Dave. The only two we know she wrote by herself are the New Orleans song and Moonlight, possible Soldiers Angel too, but I'm not sure about that one.

I've always heard the record company decides, although some artists have negotiated the right to veto the selection into their contracts.
Come to think of it, I'd be interesting in knowing how many of the past first singles from her albums have actually been her choice.

"When you were writing "Secret Love," the first single about Lindsey on the album, what thoughts and feelings were you having? How is it related to the song "Frozen
Love" and the fact that you're still in love with him?"

That doesn't matter to me, because after TSOTM, I don't think she has ever had a song on her latter albums that could do any damage on the charts until this one.

Well, I know it wasn't Stevie's choice. Not sure about the other guy.
Say You Will was written to be a single. It will be good to get IYD and identify the song that stands out as the single on that one.
Once we hear the album, this will take up many of our discussions: which songs from the new album will make it into Stevie's set list and why?

I'm sure she'll just love hearing that question! I don't think there is anything bland or generic about it at all.
What I would ask Stevie isn't so much of a question, but rather a plea:
"Stevie, your life-long fans love everything you do. As much as we cherish all your popular hits that you performed for decades, we would love for you to perform all of your new music, as well as great old album tracks that have never made it to a live set list. Don't feel afraid to branch out -- you'll be surprised at the excitement and appreciation you will receive.
Dave has been a wonderful inspiration for you. And he's been very good at utilizing social technology to reach your fans. Perhaps you would consider soliciting fans to get suggesstions and ideas for which songs we die to hear you unearth and perform."

I'm just not getting that either.IMO the production is layered and kind of dramatic while still being very Stevie ,and I keep hearing things I had not noticed previous listens. Also I do not get tired of listening to the song ..a very good sign.

I would not say the production is bland on this single. Just because the very beginning of the songs reaks of the 80s doesn't mean the whole song does. It's drippy and dramatic. Sorta different like Rooms on Fire or Violet and Blue.

What took you so LONG??

We can answer some of these. It took so long because Stevie was going to do a solo album in 2005 but her manager talked her out of it: Basically because of illegal downloads, music sales are so tanked that her manager told her that if she did a solo album "500 of your fans will buy it then upload it for everyone else to have for free". She decided to do a new album now because she just decided that her fans are 'honorable' enough to actually buy the music.

My own question would be: Which songs that you've written, but that haven't been recorded before and aren't on In Your Dreams, are you hoping to be on the next Mac record or the solo follow-up to In Your Dreams?

What is your favorite song off the new album?
What tracks got cut and why did you choose to cut those?
Did your management try to talk you out of making this album too?

Secret Love is def one of my faves but I'd ask her more about her follow-up and if she could name her next album Songs From The Vault and PLEASE include:
1) Mistress of My Fate/The Dealer
2) Lady From The Mountain
3) If You Were My Love
4) All The Beautiful Worlds
5) Julia
6) Blue Water
7) Gold & Braid - would love studio version of it
8) Ooh Baby
9) Frustrated Love
10) Chanel Chanel
11) This Is My Cross To Bear
12) Jimmy Come Back
13) Mix Down (Love And War)
14) 24 Karat Gold (R&B Mix)
15) What Has Rock N Roll Ever Done For You?
16) She Loves Him Still
and please don't cut any of these from the album!
