So my friend had me answer this seemingly simple question: What is your one favorite Fleetwood Mac song, and what is your one favorite Stevie solo song?

It took me absolutely forever to choose.
But I think after much debate I had to go with these.
(only from albums were choices)

Fleetwood: Say You Love Me
Stevie: Stand Back

How about you guys?
This was really rough for me. To have to choose from all of them. It was a toss up between If Anyone Falls or Stand Back for her solo...

Fleetwood Mac: The Chain

Stevie Nicks: Leather and Lace

Fleetwood Mac: Beautiful Child
Solo: Sable on Blonde

I tried to pick less conventional choices. Rhiannon and How Still My Love were close seconds.

Lol, I thought for sure your Stevie solo would be a Street Angel song ;)

For me:

Fleetwood Mac - Silver Springs
Stevie Solo - If Anyone Falls

This really wasn't hard, Silver Springs is my favorite song of all time, and If Anyone Falls is soooo fun to dance & twirl to, in my opinion!

What the hell. Not Make Believe is barely good on SYW, and the demo is just not listenable. I can't see under any circumstances someone saying that is their #1 favorite Stevie Nicks song. Please Explain what you like most. The almost spoken monatonal vocal, or the nonexistent instrumentaion accompying said vocal.

Ooh Ooh Baby (or whatever it's called) is a great choice. Hands down one of my favorite Stevie songs evah. What really sucks though is that the quality is so poor and it's not really in the format of a regular song yet from this demo. I wish we had a high quality, formated song from the demo. One can only dream :(.

Thanks for posting that link. I just listened to this for the first time ever. Kind of intense. Wow. I mean, I like it but ...

Sometimes Stevie's demos unsettle me in their rawness, and this is one of them. In fact, even the track I just chose as my favourite (Blue Water) is something I sort of hold 'on the top shelf', only to be got down when I'm OK with it potentially wrecking me! Kind of like when you put on a movie that you know makes you cry, but you kind of know on some level that you need to?
