Hey guys,
Well, I've been meaning to do this for a couple of years (it got cancelled due to weather before) and I've finally re-arranged to throw myself out of a plae at 10, 000ft! I wanted to do it before I was 30 and so 16th July, the day after I turn 29, is the day!
Eeeeek... f**^!!!!!!!
I'll be doing it for charity once I decide who to raise money for.
So, has anyone here done it before? Thoughts??

~shudder~
I wouldn't(couldn't) do that, for any less than 10K. I can imagine my heart exploding, when they kicked me out the plane door. Absolute TERROR. I HATE being terrified of heights.

You're going to love it. You will immediately want to go back up and jump again.

Brandon, yeah that's what I think/hope! 3 friends of mine did it when they spent a year in NZ and I was supposed to do it here ut it got cancelled twice because of weather and then I just got too busy/broke to do it again. Now is the time! By te way, I've just noticed your new signature pic - how/when did you meet Lindsey?! Tell all...

I went skydiving in November with my partner.
I had a great time, and thought it was exhilerating and fun, but there is no way I'd ever get back in that harness and do it again - once was enough, for sure. It was a tandem jump as required by law here in Colorado (unless you're certified and have 7 tandem jumps you cannot jump alone), and the guy I was strapped to was great.
Thinking about it now, I'd suggest everyone try it at least once. :woohoo:

Dodfather,
I think that sounds awesome.
I just watched a show about
skydiving this week. Don't
forget to pop that chute.

Oh it's a tandem dive I'm doing. You have to do that before they let you up there alone!

Why anyone would jump out of a perfectly good plane is beyond me. But, I do wish you a thrilling fall and a safe landing.

Yep, that's how it was for me.
The worst part was just being in the noisy little plane! Jumping out was a relief. You'll love it  I did static line from 3500 feet. Just sit in the doorway of the plane and grab a wing strut...hang on it 'til they snap your picture...then let go! Tandem from 10,000 sounds like a blast though, and I'd still love to try that too some day.

They look like flying squirrels  Seriously though, that is some amazing footage...jumping into that cloud/fog at the end... flying parallel ( and low ) to the ground

If it wasn't for paratroopers (ski divers) D-Day would have failed.
