one specific throwback to rock a little, so
stevie and co had the piece pulled from storage in
phoenix, and it was then placed in the
shoot.

said to be residing 'permanently' in los

I want that picture as my desktop wallp[aper NOW! I think that is the one that has to be the album cover - it's beautiful! I'm not over-keen on the other, larger picture. Stevie looks great and no doubt it's a lovely picture but there's something a bit plain/dull about it. There have ceen so many pics of her like that ovet the years. I much prefer the beach/mirror shot. Please let that be the album cover!

Agreed! The larger pic is perfectly nice, and Stevie looks lovely. But really, it's a shot of her throwing her be-chiffoned arms up and looking wistfully at the camera. Something new and different for her!
But the mirror pic, I'm obsessed with. It has a clean, modern look, and there's something very mysterious about her here.

I want to see a wider shot of the big one, cuz why are her arms up in the air? Is she holding on to monkey bars?

its a stunning, mid-motion, shot.
like all things Stevie though, its hard to figure out.
for example, it really looks like she's almost
hanging out of her dress. but, if you look close,
she's clearly wearing something cream colored
underneat. to me, it looked like those I can't wait
stills, where she bends down and BAM, you know?

it also looks like a clear continuation of the bella
donna rooftop shoots. the playboy shoots, I think
they've been called.

face and makeup are flawless, nice waistline.
not a bit of sag in the arms - if you can make out
where the arms are. ; )

love the textural look of that shawl too.

really couldn't ask for more. classic, beautiful
mysterious stevie, right?

it really is gorgeous! I was afraid that the promo pics for the new album would be a bit more sedate and conservative...reflecting Stevie's modern wardrobe choices but she came through! It's everything we love about Stevie!

I really love the close up shot. Such the powerful look on her face. Make up is fabulous. I love it when she does her eyes that way, it works well with her light blonde hair and brown eyes. The blouse is also fab and looks really good on her, color and all.

The ocean shot is giving me a Steampunk feel... and I really like that! Three of my favorite things; the ocean, Stevie and Steampunk. Whoot! :woohoo: ~Not sure if it's saying "In Your Dreams" or not... hmmm - maybe.

By the way, I think that's a cool name for a Stevie album since she's so famous for the song Dreams and it was the only number one for them. The phrase can be taken so many ways. Very cerebral title. Kewl.

that she was standing between the "V" of 2 branches
but look at it again the left side just looks like there's more material layers there than a tree branch

Yikes... that picture is like an Escher painting; it doesn't make any sense. If we are looking at a reflection of Stevie in the mirror, with the ocean behind her, then why is the ocean also behind the mirror? Unless the pic was shot on a narrow sand bar? :shrug: Creepy! But fabulous too!

I totally get what this cover is meant to represent.
Someone is looking into the mirror, and what they see inside is their secret lover - someone who exists somewhere else. Someone who can't or will never be with you, but only in you dreams.

Unless there's an ocean on both sides or another mirror reflecting back into the one we see. There's definitely some illusion going on there. But I guess that's obvious, because no one would have an ornate mirror like that on the beach anyway. Of course, this makes me think of the Hold Me video and Stevie carrying the painting of herself. Now, she sees her reflection.

Me too! It took me hours to realise I was wrong. I loved the Stevie-among-trees in the Everyday video, I think it looked beautiful.

I think instead of a mirror, it's a portal to another place; a theme that began with the Bella Donna album art where Stevie gazes through the glass tambourine and looks amazed at the sights she beholds.



And it ties in with OSOTM too. I like it because when Alice went through the looking glass, it was another world over there. It wasn't her own.

I really pray your right, cause I feel the same way. I'm really hoping the big one is just a promo shot/outtake and the smaller mirror/beach one is the 1st single cover shot. I'm a bit underwhelmed with these overall. And I really really hope the smaller thumbnail is NOT the album cover! If it is... this will be my very least favorite album cover besides "Enchanted" (but I don't really count it being as it's a box set) EVER.

I like the idea, but not the execution. Am I the only one bothered that Stevie looks like she was cut and pasted into the mirror, and that all her hair is in her face exposing only her nose and lips. Eck! It's too stiff, no movement or emotion. I don't like it at all. I would much prefer a whole body shot again, or another outtake of the beach/mirror concept with a much better image of Stevie portrayed. I even like the Street Angel portrait better than this:eek:. And my main critique of SA cover was the typography and layout.

If they were aiming for a surreal/Salvador Dalí-esque effect for "In Your Dreams", they needed to get more far out and eccentric, which is what we all love about Stevie Nicks. The stranger the better, But this is just boring.:sorry:

I wouldn't mind the bigger image as the album cover though... but then again, the typography would make or break that.
