David Wild has just tweeted: Listening to Stevie's album right now. Congrats to her and @Davestewart. "For What It's Worth" I think it's her Best solo album ever.
Could "For What It's Worth" be the album title??? This is really the 1st feedback from a writer/critic that has heard the new record...This is wonderful!!!

I cannot tell you which songs are on the record as they are still deciding what stays, what will be bonus tracks. It seems like quite a few titles have leaked on the board. I have seen some that are correct.

The album title has been released as you know.

The album title has been released as you know.I don't deny what you're saying is factual information. But I'm curious, are you someone whos connected in some way I.E in the industry? Not everyone just gets to listen to this stuff at this point. You dont have to reveal your name if you dont want to. but It would be interesting to know how you come upon all this information youve been posting.

Give us a review. What does it sound like? You said it's her best work in decades. That's not saying much as she hasn't released a record in a decade. In your opinion is it better than TISL? How many songs are they considering? I'm sure most of us here will be buying multiple copies to get the bonus tracks.

The record is DONE. There are 14 songs recorded. They aren't releasing a 14 song disk. There will be one or two bonus tracks. They are deciding which songs will be bonus tracks. Yes, I am in the music business and have heard the record more than once. It is very, very good. I could care less if you believe me. I wanted to offer some info for those who really care or are curious.

I was asked specifically NOT to mention song titles. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by vault songs but there is one that has been mentioned on this board in other discussions that I have heard as a bootleg/partial demo. The new songs are incredible. Truly.

I can tell you that it sounds unlike any of her previous records and yes, it is better than TISL. Way, way better. It has a lot of guitar--Dave Stewart of course, Mike Campbell and other flavors you would recognize. Her voice is up front and sounds better than I can remember any of her solo records sounding. The songs are really, really good. Of the fourteen recorded, I have two in mind I would leave off entirely and the record would be perfect front to back--much like Bella Donna.

I love the title cut.

I have heard it several times and it is very good. I am very excited for her and the fans who have been waiting a long time for a record like this. I am disappointed they pushed the release date to May but the single should drop long before that. If the Rod dates sell well, they will likely add more. Personally, I'd like to see her go out solo and do most of this live. Maybe she will. There will be no FM dates this year. No chance. She's excited about this record and wants to do as much as she can with it.

I was skeptical about the Dave Stewart collaboration but I think it was great for her and her songwriting.

We have come to a time in our existence when everyone wants to know beforehand if its a boy or a girl, and its very easy to tell these days with an ultra sound( much like we are asking FM77 to do).

I prefer to be surprised and let the build up of anticipation of the new album fill my days till the day when I can buy the record, go home and Mary Jane and I can listen to the new album front to back and back to front, relishing every note, cord and lyric.

And yes I said RECORD LOL:laugh:

We already know that Annabelle Lee is on the album. Speculation is that Lady from the Mountain and Cecelia are part of the album too.

I keep hoping Annebel Lee is one of the songs that gets the ax. Apparently Stevie recorded 14 tracks, and 2 will be cut. That makes logical sense especially if we remember artists only get paid for 12 songs per disc, hence why a great majority of albums contain exactly 12 songs. Maybe Everybody Loves You will be thrown into the incinerator, too. Hey... a boy can dream big, can't he? :lol:

This is exciting! Now we have some real, official news. The last 2 days have been great! I was about to pre-order it from the warner reprise site but I think I'll get it quicker if pre-ordering it from amazon. I'm sure I'll hear the first single as soon as it's released anyway so I won;t need the free download. I can wait for the album.

Doers anyone know if May 3rd is the International release date too? That's when I'll be pre-ordering anyway but if it is released in the UK on that day I can go to the shop and get it immediately rather than having to wait for delivery!

Love the title--just like "gift of screws." It's all attitude. Take it 'the way that you feel it?/ :shrug: Like others have said, two meanings. To me, the attitude could just be like some of Stevie's Joe Walsh's stuff:

It's a pretty melody and I think with the right arrangement (plinky piano just isn't doing it for me :p) it could definitely be a rocker! :thumbsup:
