I thought it might be a good idea for sorta a Ledgie Fleetwood Mac biography. Uh? What are you talking about?!?
Just answer the following questions about yourself...:)
Age Range: 20 something, 30 something, etc
Gender: male, female, none of your damn business
When you became a fan:
How you became a fan:
First 3 FM songs:
First FM vocalist:
Favorite FM Time Period: Peter/Blues, Welch/Christine, '75 through Tusk, Mirage/TITN, BTM/Time, the Dance/2011
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: example...40% Stevie, 40% Lindsey, 20% Christine
Concerts you've attended:

Favorite thing about FM:
Least favorite thing about FM:
Are you the same fan your where when you started:
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen:
You wish for the future of the Mac:
Silver Springs
01-05-2011, 07:59 PM
Age Range: 22 in years, 63 in Curmudgeonness
Gender: Female
When you became a fan: A few years ago
How you became a fan: Finding my Dad's Tango In The Night and Greatest Hits Albums
First 3 FM songs: Say You Love Me, Hold Me, Everywhere were the first three I really got into. But my all time favourites are Silver Springs (Duh!), Gypsy and Paper Doll.
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks was the first one I got into. But Lindsey all the way and a bit further than that.
Favorite FM Time Period: Damn....Anything with Lindsey involved I guess
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 55% Lindsey, 30% Stevie, 15% Christine
Concerts you've attended: Only an Unleashed tour show. Too young to have experienced earlier shows.
FM stuff you own: Framed Posters (TiTN, The Dance) , Unleashed Poster, Tote Bag, Vinyl (Rumours, White Album, Greatest Hits, TiTN, Tusk, Mirage, PBoGO, English Rose, MoTW, Albatross), CDs (All of them), Say You Will Tour Program, Tapes, Collectible photography, Dog Tag, Mug, Hoodie, Five T-Shirts (Big Love, Second Hand News, Unleashed Tour, Gold Dust Woman, Rumours), DVDs (Live In Boston, Destiny Rules, Live In Boston, The Dance, Rumours, Mirage Tour, and a couple of unofficial ones), Books (Mick's Bio, Storms, The Bob Brunning one which I can't remember at this time), Vintage framed Blue Letter 12" from 1975
Stevie: Vinyl (Rock A Little, Wild Heart, Bella Donna, Buckingham Nicks), CDs (Wild Heart, Bella Donna, Street Angel, Trouble In Shangri La, Timespace, Soundstage Sessions, Crystal Visions), Soundstage DVD
Lindsey: Vinyl (Law And Order, Buckingham Nicks, Go Insane) CDs (Go Insane, Law And Order, Out Of The Cradle, Gift Of Screws, Under The Skin, Little Big Town), Framed Poster (UtS), DVDs (Soundstage, Bass Performance Hall), T-Shirt
Favorite thing about FM: Their ability to convey whatever emotion I could have with a perfect song.
Least favorite thing about FM: The fact that their "presence" is waning :(
Are you the same fan your where when you started: To be quite honest I've grown in my obsession. At first it was a casual love of the greatest hits. Now it's the kind of love that could get you arrested for being found in one of the member's gardens or something haha!
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: As in members? That's easy. The fantastic four and Christine.
You wish for the future of the Mac: I wish for them to release a new album soon that is even better than Say You Will and to simply increase their presence. Prove that they're not past their best yet.

Probably not quite on topic but it is related to one of the questions. Has anybody ever come across a "Get Tusked" T-Shirt at a reasonable price? I would sell my first born or sign a contract in blood to name him Justin Bieber if I could get my hands on one.
Please note...It will be a cold day in hell before Bee has a child. She'd rather Cats.

When you became a fan: this might be a surprise, Nov 2009
How you became a fan: I had always liked 70's/80's music. So when I got the internet about 2 yrs ago, I started growing my music collection. Went on amazon searching mp3's in the classic rock genre, found "Dreams". A month or two later heard "Gypsy" on the 80's music choice channel and said to myself, "I'm gonna have to look into this band that I've basically ignored all my life(I knew them as the band that did that "Don't Stop" song.) Got the '88 Greatest hits CD and my love hasn't ended.
First 3 FM songs: Dreams, Gypsy, and Don't Stop
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks
Favorite FM Time Period: tough choice gotta go with Mirage/Tango time period
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 45% Stevie, 45% Christine, 10% everybody else. Stevie and Christine are constantly fighting for my affection
Concerts you've attended: none :sorry:
FM stuff you own: 25 years the Chain, The Dance DVD, 2002 VBO, a lot songs from amazon, Bare Tree's CD. That's really it! Guess I need some posters and such...:)
Favorite thing about FM: vocals from more that one singer all in one group w/vocals from the whole group. Somebody once asked me who's the Lead singer...I said "There is no lead singer!" :D
Least favorite thing about FM: the fact that the soap opera drama of the band gets in the way of enjoying the music
Are you the same fan your were when you started: I'm more knowledgeable(thanks to the Ledge), and less naive about the Mac world
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Mick, John, Danny, Stevie, and Christine.
You wish for the future of the Mac: a new album with new member(s)

First FM vocalist: all three at once, because of The Chain. :)
Favorite FM Time Period: Tusk!
Concerts you've attended: I've only seen them together once during Unleashed.
Favorite thing about FM: the harmonies, diversity. basically the fact that they aren't like any other band

Concerts you've attended: Time, Say You Will

Are you the same fan your where when you started: It was all about Stevie Nicks for me 2 decades ago. Not the case now.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Christine, Lindsey, Mick, John, Stevie
You wish for the future of the Mac: At least one more new album filled with solid material to right the wrongs of SYW.

You wish for the future of the Mac
Some sort of career-ending catastrophe that generates all sorts of archival film & tape releases from the 1970s.

Age Range: I am 37
Gender: Male
When you became a fan: Probably first early 80's when I was young hearing songs like The Chain and Go Your Own Way on the radio. In 95 I was reborn again as a fan and when they reunited I became hopelessly addicted.
How you became a fan: Hearing early Mac on the radio. The Chain, Say You Love Me, Go Your Own Way, Dreams... loved it. In 95 I got The Greatest Hits and it was off from there till the reunion solidified my complete and undying allegiance.
First 3 FM songs: The Chain, Say You Love Me, Go Your Own Way
First FM vocalist: Lindsey
Favorite FM Time Period: 1975 - Tusk
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Lindsey 60%, Chrsitine 25%, Stevie %15.
Concerts you've attended: Haven't yet had the pleasure. If they come near me on the next tour, I won't miss it cuz it'll probably be their last.
FM stuff you own: All of their music on CD as well as the 3 reissues with extra tracks. All of Lindsey's albums on CD if that counts. I also have the Big Love/You and I, Part 1 45.
Favorite thing about FM: The music of course... mainly the style in which Lindsey plays guitar and his guitar playing/technique in general. He's the signature sound of the band. He is my favorite member by far.
Least favorite thing about FM: No Christine in the lineup. Also they don't put out albums close together at all.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No, much much more of a fan. I go through phases where I will only listen to FM or Lindsey solo. I am in one of those phases as we speak and I am listening to the outtake version of Oh Diane as I type.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Christine coming back to complete the quintet
You wish for the future of the Mac: Another album (one where LB lets an outside producer handle it and also write songs closer to the style of GoS and a few on UTS... in other words a bit more radio friendly). Another tour. Maybe a farewell tour that would bring Ms. Perfect back to solidify the band.

Age: 46
Gender: I'm a woman.
When you became a fan: 1978-1988, reborn 20010
How you became a fan: I sent my sister into town to buy me Plastic Letters by Blondie, but she couldn't remember what I'd asked her to get and bought Rumours instead
First 3 FM songs: Must've been SHN, Dreams and NGBA?
First FM vocalist: Must've been LB?
Favorite FM Time Period: Visually, I think they looked amazing between '75 and '79. Musically, I like some things from all lineups from '67 to present.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Well, cards on the table: I've never enjoyed Christine as a vocalist. Bland. The idea of her winning an award for blues vocals is, to me, comical. LB has pretty much lost it, and seems to actively want to sound terrible at times. SN's voice has changed a lot over the years, and I hate the really nasal stuff, but I find her voice the most interesting.
Concerts you've attended: Saw them in London in 1988, right at the point where I'd kind of stopped being a fan but I'd had the tickets for ages so I went. It was ok.
FM stuff you own: Just music -- oh, and a little enamelled lapel pin and a Tusk tour programme that I bought when I first became a fan.
Favorite thing about FM: That thing about how, on paper, those five people shouldn't have been able to accomplish anything, and yet they did.
Least favorite thing about FM: I could say "Christine McVie fans who have a problem with my own completely legitimate preference for someone else", but that's not really my "Least favourite thing about FM", is it? No. That's lumping people together under a label and having a go. Every chance you get.
Are you the same fan you where when you started: Pretty much. What's great is that, having not been keeping up with them for 20+ years, and my first fan spell being pre-internet, I'm still finding so many new things.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Despite what I said about liking Chris's voice the least, I do most enjoy the three voices together, so it would be great to have the 'Rumours' lineup back.
You wish for the future of the Mac: Another studio album without LB producing, and a tour that comes to the UK!

Vocalist breakdown by percentage: ----
Concerts you've attended: Four shows on the SYW tour.

Favorite thing about FM: A combination of things...

Age Range: 36
Gender: female
When you became a fan: Fleetwood Mac: 1987, Lindsey Buckingham: 1984, Stevie Nicks 1985
How you became a fan: Long story short-I was already a fan of Lindsey since Go Insane. I became a fan of Stevie with Rock a Little. I had no idea they were in a band together until Tango In the Night. I loved the single 'Big Love'. I got the Tango album. I loved the rest of the album. I then started getting other FM albums and member solo albums. I realized I'd heard plenty of these songs over the years and liked them. So....a fan ever since!!:)
First 3 FM songs: If this means the first three I heard after knowing who Fleetwood Mac was: Big Love, Seven Wonders, and Little Lies
First FM vocalist:Lindsey Buckingham!
Favorite FM Time Period: Buckingham Nicks years, followed by 1971-1974 FM
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 35% Lindsey, 25% Christine, 14% Stevie, 6% Danny Kirwan, 6% Bob Welch, 5% Billy Burnette, 4% Peter Green, 3% Jeremy Spencer, 1% Bekka Bramlett, 1% Rick Vito
Concerts you've attended: Fleetwood Mac: The Dance tour, Columbus, OH October 1997, Say You Will tour, Atlanta, GA June 2003
FM stuff you own: Aside from Music: Promo Dance poster, Promo SYW poster (small), Promo SYW 3 feet x 3 feet Posterboard, Tour T-shirts from The Dance, SYW, older t-shirt (from 70s?) given to me in 1994, Stevie T-shirt from Rock a Little Era, Christine McVie Picture Disc, Bob Welch Picture Disc. I'm sure I'm leaving out something.....
Favorite thing about FM: Too many to name!!
Least favorite thing about FM: Too many years of dragging their feet. Too much indecisiveness. It sometimes makes a fan feel like we care more about Fleetwood Mac then they do!
Are you the same fan you were when you started: I don't think I realized I was a 'permanent fan' when I started out! I was almost 13 and at that age, you are not always thinking in concrete terms about '10 years from now, 20 years from now'. Since 1997, I've realized I'm definitely in this for life!!
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Mick, John, Lindsey, Christine, & Bob Welch!
You wish for the future of the Mac:I want them to do what will make them happy. Still, if they intend to not make more albums together or if they get to that point in the future, they should let the fans know that! That way, we will know where they stand.

When you became a fan: Seriously in 1997
How you became a fan: Sitting in awe after watching Silver Springs from The Dance for the very first time.
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman, Gypsy
First FM vocalist: I liked Lindsey's songs first, but that all changed after The Dance. Stevie is my favorite now.
Favorite FM Time Period: Rumours-Mirage
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 70% Stevie; 20% Lindsey; 10% Chris
Concerts you've attended: Say You Will and 2 Stevie solo shows
FM stuff you own: Too much to count: vinyl, c.d.'s, posters, books, tour merch, ebay memoribilia, you name it.
Favorite thing about FM: the beautifully blended 3-part harmony of Stevie, Lindsey and Chris.
Least favorite thing about FM: all the shipper crap
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No, I got over the Stevie/Lindsey romance thing LONG ago.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The five from the Rumours line-up.
You wish for the future of the Mac: To put out a new album of NEW material with Chris (pipe dream, I know) and a tour featuring new songs and obscure material either never or rarely done live. I guess I'll keep on wishin'!

Age Range: Over 45. That's all I'm 'fessing up to.
Gender: female
When you became a fan: 1997
How you became a fan: Fate. I kept channel surfing to the exact same spot in Silver Springs during the Dance (never get away, never get away). I was intrigued. Who was this man Stevie Nicks was railing at? And, damn, she looked good since the last time I saw her. And, how old was she anyway?
First 3 FM songs: Favorites? Gee. I'm kind of sick of most of them, to tell you the absolute truth. So, Everybody Finds Out. Tango in the Night. And...Not Make Believe
First FM vocalist: Lindsey/Stevie. Total toss up.
Favorite FM Time Period: Dance. I liked the vibe around that time. Although, SYW was fabulous (for me), too.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 50% Stevie; 40% Lindsey; 10% Chris
Concerts you've attended: Say You Will...10ish concerts? I don't remember. Stevie...since TISL...probably at least 10. Lindsey...8 or so. I really have to do the math. All I can tell you is I haven't been debt-free since I started attending these things.
FM stuff you own: LOADS of stuff. I don't even want to think of it.
Favorite thing about FM: I liked the general theme of second (third, fourth) chances, and love, no matter how dysfunctional, lasting throughout a lifetime. And I don't mean shipper love, either. Just relationships of all kinds.
Least favorite thing about FM: the backstabbing when they aren't sitting next to each other and the rewriting of history.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No. This past Greatest Hits tour really made me not love them as much.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: I actually like them just the way they are. I have no desire to see CM, so...I'm good. I just wish they'd come at it with enthusiasm and a sense of creative wonder instead of wondering if they'll need a bigger bag to schlepp their money to the bank with.
You wish for the future of the Mac: Enthusiasm! Creativity! or hang it all up and go solo.
ETA: I did the (tentative) math.
New totals: FM (SYW and "Unleashed") 14
Lindsey Solo: 11
Stevie Solo: 17
I should have gone to FM rehab.

Age Range: Almost an adult for half my life

When you became a fan: Some level always been aware of their music, always had the Greatest Hits and then the Dance as my go-to music, but truly entered the hardcore fandom about 2 years ago.
How you became a fan: Listening to the Greatest Hits album in my teens and saying, "This is by Fleetwood Mac?" to half the songs.
First 3 FM songs: Go Your Own Way, Rhiannon, Dreams
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: Anything but the early 90s.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 45% Stevie, 35% Lindsey, 20% Christine
Concerts you've attended: Unleashed - 4
FM stuff you own: CDs, DVDs, shot glass
Favorite thing about FM: There music is timeless. I adore the fact that music originally targeted for an older generation resonates so deeply with me. And that it continues to inspire people more than half my age.
Least favorite thing about FM: Time between album releases.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Oh god no. Just ask my friend who got the crash course in all things FM/SN/LB on a 3 hour car drive to Stevie's concert last summer. I could start my own FM University.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Full Rumours lineup
You wish for the future of the Mac: That they want to record and tour because they are still passionate about their craft and playing together, not just to pad their bank accounts. And I want to see Stevie and Lindsey write FM songs together.

When you became a fan: I became a casual fan at about 5 or 6 years old, but a hardcore fan at 19...
How you became a fan: In '96 or 7 (shortly before their reunion concert) my mom would constantly play their 1988 Greatest Hits on our cd player and turned it up loud so that the whole household could hear it! (This was during a much simpler, and happier time in my life before things became difficult. Thanks to my mom, I've always had an emotional and sentimental fondness for, and an attachment to many of the songs on this cd, particularly "Rhiannon" because I relate it to my childhood). Anywho, if I remember right, The Dance began it's daily rotation on a local tv station when I was 6, and after seeing bits and pieces of it I put 2 and 2 together, realizing that this was the band on my mom's cd. I recognized many of the songs they played, and was finally able to put faces to the voices I had heard on their Greatest Hits (though it would be a while longer before I learned the band's name, and even longer before I learned the names of the individuals in the band :D). I recognized Stevie's voice immediately, and she looked as wonderful as she sounded on my mom's cd. I remember being in awe of her for whatever reason...probably the long blond hair? I liked Christine because we both played piano, Lindsey reminded me of my older brother, and Mick's weird faces made me laugh. From then on, I enjoyed listening to them from time to time growing up, but didn't become *obsessed* until "Landslide" caught my attention, and, wanting to hear more of Stevie, I started listening to my step-dads old FM records and...I just couldn't stop. I'm very thankful to have been brought up listening to them.
First 3 FM songs: "Rhiannon", "Everywhere", "Big Love"
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks, now it's Chris......
Favorite FM Time Period: Rumours! I know...so typical.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Lindsey 10%, Stevie 20%, Christine 60%, Welch 10%
Concerts you've attended: None :(...I'd give an arm and a leg to go back in time...
FM stuff you own: TITN, Rumours, Tusk, Live 1980, and Behind the Mask on vinyl, "Save Me" on 45, Rumours delux on cd
Favorite thing about FM: They can do no wrong musically....ever....
Least favorite thing about FM: The big empty hole that formed when Chris left, one which can only be filled by her presence :..(
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Definitely not. Stevie was my favorite from when I was a small child up until recently. Now Chris occupies that spot...her songwriting has continually inspired me in my own journey of studying and playing piano... Her style is so unique and beautiful.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: A giant reunion concert, consisting of the full Rumours lineup, and other former members, the FM family (Vito, Burnett, Green, Spencer, Welch, Bramlett etc.) making special appearances on different songs throughout.
You wish for the future of the Mac: Comeback Chris! FM needs you!

How you became a fan: Found Disc 2 of the Very Best of In my CD player, it was my sister's... Played it and Voila!
First 3 FM songs: The Chain, Gypsy and Seven Wonders (I skipped the others :D)
First FM vocalist: The Trio of Harmony that is perfection!
Favorite FM Time Period: 1974-Now (minus Time)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 50% Stevie, 35% Christine, 15% Lindsey (See Also Chiffon Head)
Concerts you've attended: Just one :( Unleashed- Sydney
FM stuff you own: CDs, all 12" extended mixes on vinyl, all albums on Vinyl except Time of course. An awesome Big Love picture disc etc.
Favorite thing about FM: That Magic that they just seemlessly create I don't know how to describe it completely but I always think Mystical Rock/Pop.
Least favorite thing about FM: Constant reference to Rumours. (we get it, it was a great album, there was emotional turmoil - Boo Whoo) Reliance on success from OVER THIRTY YEARS AGO! And lack of good time management.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Hell No, I'm much more insane than I was 5 years ago, and I enjoy every moment of it, shame about the people around me.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Lindsey and Stevie with a little more vocal strength and fire, and Christine to drop the wine bottle and rejoin the band. And Mick and John as their reliable selves.
You wish for the future of the Mac: That if we do get another album, It will be much more of a Fleetwood Mac album than SYW, that was more like two solo albums spliced together featuring John and Mick.
I say go back to Sausalito - Stevie get your ass into Sly Stone's Studio and Lindsey cut it with the big words and "Deep and Multi-layered ness" that you should save for your Solo stuff, Make us some real FLEETWOOD MAC MAGIC again!

That's interesting!
I remember circa 1981 my brother was watching TV and he exclaimed when they showed Sara live video. I payed attention and liked the song, though not became a fan until I found the Gypsy video by myself in 1982.

When you became a fan: 2006
How you became a fan: Well my parents had The Dance CD so I knew the songs from being played in the background in the house. Then they used to play it in the car but I'd always stick earphones in and listen to my own music. Then I started listening to ISA (which fit my Heavy Metal music taste at the time). Then I saw Rumours in the January sales 2006, bought it and got hooked.
First 3 FM songs: I'm So Afraid, Second Hand News, Go Your Own Way.
First FM vocalist: Lindsey.
Favorite FM Time Period: If I'd to pick one album/tour combo it'd be Tusk.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: I mostly listen to their albums in one go (not going for individual tracks) so between Stevie, Lindsey and Chris it's about equal plus a good dose of Peter, Bob and Danny. But if we're including solo stuff then it's 80% Lindsey, 20% "the rest" since I listen to his solo stuff more than I listen to the Mac.
Concerts you've attended: 2 Unleashed (Dublin) and 3 Lindsey GOS (LA, San Diego and back to LA).
FM stuff you own: Mostly just the music. CDs and a few vinyl.
Favorite thing about FM: The songs and the fact that they always seemed to get great songwriters since the start.
Least favorite thing about FM: Reliance on Rumours and reluctance to shake up the set list too much.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I've moved to being more of a Lindsey solo fan than a Mac fan. I'd maybe rather have more of his solo stuff than a Mac album since I'm not keen on Stevie's voice anymore even though I think she can still write some kick-ass songs.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Men of the Mac tour - Lindsey, John and Mick but I'd be more than happy if they added Bob.
You wish for the future of the Mac: At least one more album but one that isn't neutered in a desire to make it more commercial because of the perception of SYW (think Mirage after Tusk).

When you became a fan: 1976.
How you became a fan: I was aware of them around 1975, heard Rhiannon, Albatross, Oh Well and The Green Manalishi, and was interested because those song all were so different. Was that One Band??? I became hooked the minute I heard Go Your Own Way on the radio. In 1977 I was 12 and I bought my brothers copy of Rumours, because he was sick of it; “you hear that album all day long on the radio”, he said. Between Rumours and Tusk I discovered The Green-era and The Welch-era and started to buy the albums very slow. When I heard Tusk, I was flabbergasted, But after four months of listening to that album I was inspired by it for the rest of my life.
First 3 FM songs: favourite three? I Know I’m Not Wrong, Oh Well, I’m So Afraid.
First FM vocalist: Favourite vocalist? Peter Green.
Favorite FM Time Period: Tie between Tusk-era and Then Play On-era.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Impossible, I listen to albums, mostly Tusk, Then Play On, and than the rest.
Concerts you've attended:
Missed june 1980 unfortunately at the last minute, but I attended:
2x Tango 1988 (Germany, Netherlands)
1x Stevie solo OSOTM 1989 (Rotterdam)
2x Behind The Mask 1990 (Germany, Netherlands)
1x Time 1994 (Groningen)
4x SYW 2003 (OKC, Dallas, Oberhausen, London)
4x Lindsey GOS solo (Reading, Atlantic City, Northampton, Ridgefield)
2x Unleashed (Germany, Netherlands)
FM stuff you own: All the music, except Time. CDs and a lot of vinyl.
Favorite thing about FM:
The rhythm section that survived so much tension. And the fact that they proceeded to make quality music through all those decades. And that Lindsey raised my musical taste.
Least favorite thing about FM: The fact that they never went through with the mindset that Tusk started: indiepop in stead of radiopop. And the fact that mostly everyone know them from Little Lies, Everywhere, Family Man, Say You Love Me and Don’t Stop and not from Brown Eyes, Sisters Of The Moon, I’m So Afraid, World Turning, Come, Storms, Beautiful Child, Not That Funny etcetera etcetera.
Are you the same fan you were when you started:
I was in love with Stevie in 1977, fell in love with Lindsey’s music and art in 1979. I've moved to being more of a Lindsey solo fan than a Mac fan. I'd maybe rather have more of his solo stuff than a Mac album since I'm not keen on Stevie's voice anymore even though I think she can still write some kick-ass songs.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen:

At MOST one more album but one that isn't neutered in a desire to make it more commercial because of the perception of SYW (think Mirage after Tusk).
And I hope it will be produced by Buckingham in cooperation with Jack White or Jim O’Rourke.
And Buck and Nicks should build up the tracks together.

Either of those two would make for some sweet collaborations. Lindsey and Jack White could make for a very raw, ferocious guitar driven masterpiece. Lindsey and Jim O'Rourke could put together a really interesting, quirky experimental piece. I love it!

you talk about. Well put. I KNOW that Lindsey wants to collaborate with him too, I talked about it when I met him. And I really think he has it in him. How you became a fan: Little Lies.
First 3 FM songs: Little Lies, Hold Me, Rhiannon
First FM vocalist: Bekka Bramlett
Favorite FM Time Period: BTM/Time, I wish I were old enough to have gone to concerts during that period.
Concerts you've attended:
August 13, 2003 - Kansas City, MO (Fleetwood Mac)
August 15, 2003 - St. Louis, MO (Fleetwood Mac)
June 17, 2007 - Redding, CA (Lindsey Buckingham)
FM stuff you own: CDs mostly. A lot of stuff though.
Favorite thing about FM: The variety of the band and the quality of the music throughout each era.
Least favorite thing about FM: Ignorant fans and Stevie fans who worship every bit of nonsense she says/thinks/does under the sun.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I'm a more open and "well-rounded" fan.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: All 16 members in a mega-concert. See above but if I have to get specific: Billy, Lindsey, Bob Welch, Christine, John and Mick.

How you became a fan: Upgraded to HDTV and saw Soundstage / Live in Boston on Palladia Channel. Lindsey simply blew me away, and the contrast between Lindsey and Stevie was fascinating as well.
First 3 FM songs: GYOW and The Chain. After that it changes constantly...Gypsy, Fireflies, WMYTYTO, Sarah, The Ledge...
First FM vocalist: Lindsey
Favorite FM Time Period: The Dance/2011
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Lindsey/60, Stevie and Christine/ 20 each...love all three!
Concerts you've attended: Unleashed
FM stuff you own: Vinyl: Rumours and Tusk. CDs and DVDs: Rumours, Tusk, TITN, Live ( 1980 ), The Very Best of, Say You Will, Live in Boston ( 2004 ), The Dance, Making of Rumours, Destiny Rules. Unleashed Tour T-shirt. All of Lindsey's CDs except L&O, all his DVDs . Lots of boot vids and music from Throwndown. Books: CAH's and Mick's. Rolling Stone magazine. Several guitar mags featuring Lindsey.
Favorite thing about FM: Their harmonies ( with Chris still in the band ), their musicianship, their timeless music, that they truly love and care about one another and are still ( mostly ) together.
Least favorite thing about FM: nothing
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I liked them as a kid but I wasn't a “fan”. After I re-discovered them in 2008 I think I'm relatively hardcore
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Men of the Mac – Linds, John and Mick. Would love to see Chris back with the Rumours lineup too.

How you became a fan: Heard World Turning and Blue Letter coming out of my brother's or sister's stereo
First 3 FM songs: World Turning, Blue Letter, I'm So Afraid
First FM vocalist: Lindsey Buckingham
Favorite FM Time Period: Peter/Blues, Rick & Billy/BTM
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 50% Peter Green, 20% Christine, 15% Lindsey, 10% Rick, 5% Stevie
Concerts you've attended: "Tango" Tour - 1 show, "BTM" Tour - 3 shows
FM stuff you own: CD's of the albums from "Peter Green's FM" through "Say You Will"
Favorite thing about FM: Rhythm section!!!! Mick and John can't be beat!
Least favorite thing about FM: Sorry, but I'm telling the truth: The seemingly total blind devotion to anything and everything concerning Lindsey and Stevie, to the detriment of all other eras of the band. My opinion. You don't have to like it, but it's mine.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No. Started as a Lindsey/Stevie fan, then became a Peter/Blues era fan and an overall, every era fan and have come back to the Blues era again. That is, without doubt, my favourite era of FM.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Mick, John, Peter, Rick, Christine, Lindsey, Stevie, and Billy.
You wish for the future of the Mac: That they will record a new CD and tour one more time. After that, I think the band should call it a career and Mick should devote himself full time to the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band featuring Rick Vito and put his efforts into getting John to sign on there as well (no slight to Lenny Castellanos intended, he's awesome!), and perhaps persuading Peter to sit in with them now and again on shows in the UK/Europe. Rick's got the chops to play the Peter material, the Jeremy stuff and Danny's as well. He's also got more than enough talent to support that band with original material of his own. It would bring FM full circle.

FM stuff you own: some faves--The Bella Donna piano sheet music book, a VERY THREADBARE purple T shirt from the Bella Donna/White Wingeed Dove tour, which I wear only to Mac/Stevie shows now, My wild heart matted poster, some old vintage posters (though not in good condition anymore :( ) and Lindsey's autograph made out to me (my high school buddy worked at a restaurant where Lindsey used to come and he got it for me :), the old White Winged Dove tour HBO video (now if I could get my new TV to play VHS...), the Almanac (not sure what the official unofficial name is) bootleg, the Las Vegas Sin City 1977 bootleg (my very favorite version of Rhiannon ever, by far), the Tusk piano sheet music book, the Rumours piano sheet music book with a picture of Stevie playing (or at least holding) an acoustic guitar in concert, my Australian CD boot of Buckingham/Nicks with great sound and the single version of Crying in the Night. And my memory of winning 3rd row center tickets to one of the Dance shows, and taking my friend Lisa, who was expecting to sit in the lawn, and watching her face as we walked into the seats, down, down, down, to almost the stage :)
Favorite thing about FM: The blend of totally different songwriters into one band, and the harmonies, and the chemistry that they all have/had.
Least favorite thing about FM: The lack of variety in their set lists for live shows. And I was hugely disappointed in the reissues of Tusk and Fleetwood Mac. The "demos" on the Tusk CD sounded so much like the released versions. I really wanted to hear stripped down versions. That reissue, to me, felt like a big rip off.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Time makes you bolder, right? :)
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Stevie and Christine and Lindsey all together. I really miss Christine.
You wish for the future of the Mac: I would love them to do a very unproduced, or at least un produced sounding CD. With Christine, even if they don't tour behind it. I know it will never happen, but that's my wish.

Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Men of the Mac – Linds, John and Mick. Would love to see Chris back with the Rumours lineup too.
Funny that you say that. I have often wondered if they'd tour without Stevie if she decided she didn't wanna do it. They seem to love playing together. Obviously I know that they wouldn't... attendance would be dismal. All the sheep come to see Stevie twirl around and bang a tambourine. I realize that comment was a bit overboard, but you get my point. The band is more than just her. The 3 men of the Mac are a tight unit. Top notch musically.

Neat idea!
Age Range: 23
Gender: female
When you became a fan: late 2009
How you became a fan: Bought Rumours on a whim
First 3 FM songs: First three faves? Songbird, The Chain, and Gold Dust Woman.
First FM vocalist: I guess Stevie. Very unique voice, I remember thinking that when I first heard Dreams.
Favorite FM Time Period: Oh man, this is tough. I'll just list my favorite three albums representing different eras; Tusk, Then Play On & Bare Trees
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 20% Peter, 20% Danny, 20% Stevie, 20% Christine, & 20% Lindsey . The others I appreciate to a degree, just don't really strike a chord with me like those five. For solo stuff, I guess I do like Lindsey's most overall, but Bella Donna is my favorite solo album of any Mac member. Love Danny Kirwan's first two albums, and love the Christine Perfect album, but not so much her last two. :sorry: Haven't gotten my hands on Peter's yet. Glad you didn't ask for breakdown of musicians or song-writers, that'd be even harder to answer.
Concerts you've attended: 0 ;__;
FM stuff you own: All the albums from Dog & Dustbin to SYW, and some Dvds (bootleg Tusk Doc & Mirage concert, The Dance, Live in Boston)
Favorite thing about FM: All the different eras and the amazing music along the way. Hard to get tired of FM when you can hop around their discography and be blown away all over again.
Least favorite thing about FM: The current line-up's lack of direction and output.
Are you the same fan you were when you started: No, I know way more than I used to (or need to :p ) about the band. When I first heard Rumours I assumed Silver Springs was always on the record. Then I bought the vinyl and was very confused, so I started researching the band and that led me to this board.. and this board led me to everything else FM-related, honestly. Don't contribute much, but I appreciate all the discussion. Kudos and keep it up! :wavey:
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Peter, Danny, Lindsey, Christine, Stevie, Mick, & good ol' John. It would be insane.
Your wish for the future of the Mac: New music.
Funny that you say that. I have often wondered if they'd tour without Stevie if she decided she didn't wanna do it. They seem to love playing together. yeah, i was happy to see at least 4 people in this thread proposing the men of mac lineup as a core dream team (EDIT: possibily 6 people actually, plus optionally adding some different members here and there;)). i also liked somebody's listing of members from their favorite era as a dream lineup - i didn't think of that! but would def be interesting to imagine how adding peter green from late 60s to certain eras of the current men of mac lineup would pan out.

Age Range: 16

When you became a fan: Spring 2008
How you became a fan: Coincidentally listened to Daddy's copy of Rumours
First 3 FM songs: Well, the first 3 I was aware of were Second Hand News, Dreams and Never Going Back Again but I remember having heard songs like Little Lies, Go Your Own Way and Gypsy before and even liking them without checking out the band
First FM vocalist: Stevie. She enchanted me.
Favorite FM Time Period: At the moment 70-75 but I love all other eras as well
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Christine 40%, Lindsey 20%, Stevie 20%, Bob Welch 10%, Peter/Danny 10%
Concerts you've attended: 1 Unleashed Show
FM stuff you own: CDs released between 70 & 89, Rumours on vinyl, Unleashed Tour poster & Tshirt, Micks book
Favorite thing about FM: Hard to explain, they have something very unique about them that still gets me hooked. Something that I haven't found in any other band/artist.
Least favorite thing about FM: Current situation...
Are you the same fan you were when you started: No, the first 12+ months of me being a fan my life consisted of Fleetwood Mac. That's changed and also I'm not so Stevie focused anymore. However, they're still a huge part of my life and of who I am (even if it sounds stupid) and I wouldn't want to live without them.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Mick, John, Christine, Peter
Your wish for the future of the Mac: That there will be a future...

They really do, and I have no doubt that Mick, especially, would go for it! I totally agree with you on that last part (LOL) but there's no denyin' Stevie's the big draw at arena shows. Still, the guys could do really well in smaller clubs, and I'd rather see them in that type of setting anyways

When you became a fan: FM have been there all the way through my life because my Momma is a huge fan. She gave me her Tango CD early last year and it snowballed from there.
How you became a fan: Listening to said Tango CD and it was Caroline and TITN that really grabbed my attention before I realised that I new so many of the songs already.
First 3 FM songs: TITN, Everywhere, Mystified
First FM vocalist: Christine McVie
Favorite FM Time Period: '69 through '74 but my favourite years are definitely '72, '73 & '74.
Concerts you've attended: None, and I don't intend to, unless it's Men Of The Mac
FM stuff you own: Oh god. Tons of Records (I think I've nearly got the lot) CD's, posters, shirts etc.
Favorite thing about FM: Christine ;)
Least favorite thing about FM: The effect certain members have on certain fans (myself included)
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Kinda. I went through about 3 months of mildly-hardcore Stevie fandom, got bored and went straight back to where I started with Christine.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: John, Mick, Peter, Bob Welch, Jeremy, Christine and Danny.
You wish for the future of the Mac: I don't really have one, considering I know and appreciate that Christine is well and truly out of the picture. I'd love for Mick & John to make another Blues album, though. And of course for them all to live well and comfortably.

How you became a fan: I fell in love with the song "Silver Springs" on the radio in '97. In 2007, I saw Lindsey's Soundstage and looked up Lindsey and Stevie on web.
First 3 FM songs: "Silver Springs", "Gypsy", "The Chain"

FM stuff you own: All the BN lineup cd's.
Favorite thing about FM: The marriage of the music, lyrics and production, the chemistry in the band.
Least favorite thing about FM: How it's used as a vehicle of sorts and maybe abused a bit by that.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No, but it's still sort of fresh in some ways and especially when they are all actively working on projects we know about.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: I guess Christine returning, but I love 'em as they are too.
You wish for the future of the Mac: A final new album and respectful farewell tour with at least one Christine performance. Then, the release of Buckingham Nicks and a tour. And whatever projects they do after that.

How you became a fan: Heard a few FM songs on the radio, bought the greatest hits album and went from there.
First 3 FM songs: Little Lies, Rhiannon and probably another one ;)
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: Walker/Welch/Weston
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 6.25% each ;) (and yes I know that technically Mick only did two "songs", John only did backing vocals on The Dance tour and Brunning only did vocals on his own solo work (but C & W Blues is a great song)).
Concerts you've attended: 2 x Fleetwood Mac, 1 x Stevie Solo
FM stuff you own: all the albums and quite a few DVDs
Favorite thing about FM: The depth of vocal talent through 44 years...
Least favorite thing about FM: Is it fair to say Christine McVie? No? Oh well then maybe Dave Mason.
Are you the same fan you were when you started: No. I started off being one of those one-eyed Stevie fans, and eventually became a fan of Fleetwood Mac as a whole.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Peter, Mick, John, Jeremy and Rick.

Age Range: I was in college when I became a fan in 1975. You do the arithmetic.
Gender: girl
When you became a fan: In 1974 or 1975, don't remember exactly.
How you became a fan: I was introduced to the band by a classmate shortly before the 'White Album' was released. When the 'White Album' came out I bought a copy and at first thought Lindsey was the girl and Stevie the guy! (Well, Stevie Wonder and Stevie Winwood are guys, right?) When I saw them for the first time in Oct. of '75 I was hooked for life.
First 3 FM songs: I heard the 5 Bob Welch era albums first so all the songs from them.
First FM vocalist: I guess Christine, Bob, Danny and to a lesser extent Jeremy.
Favorite FM Time Period: Welch era, although I like them all (with the possible exception of the Bekka era ... sorry ... can't stand her singing style.)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Impossible to quantify. Christine is #1 by a country mile, but everybody else is on there too.
Concerts you've attended: I think I saw the full 'Rumours' era band six times. I've seen Christine, Bob and Peter once each.
FM stuff you own: All the albums, most of them on both CD and vinyl, most in multiple copies. All of Christine's solo records, all of Bob's (I think) and quite a few solo records by other members. I have a couple of books. A t-shirt from the Tusk tour and a t-shirt from the Christine tour.
Favorite thing about FM: The music; the variety of the music throughout their history; and the fact that the band survives, no matter what.
Least favorite thing about FM: The fact that they are sometimes put in a category with "soft rock" or "California rock" bands. They are so much better than that. Other least favorite things are the absence of Christine, and the relatively short tenure of the brilliant Danny.
Are you the same fan your where [sic] when you started: Of course not.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: I'll go with Peter, Mick, John and Christine.
You wish for the future of the Mac: That their music will live forever and that people 100 years from now will still be listening.

When you became a fan: 1997
How you became a fan: Saw "The Dance" on MTV.
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, Don't Stop and Go Your Own Way (got the greatest hits)
First FM vocalist:Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: Tusk - Mirage
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: I don't even know what that means.
Concerts you've attended: The Dance, Peter Green's Splinter Group, Stevie's Enchanted Tour, Say You Will Tour (Twice), Trouble In Shangri-la tour, Unleashed tour.
FM stuff you own: Tons of cds, dvds, a stevie t-shirt.
Favorite thing about FM: The raw emotion in the work and the fact that no one else comes close to sounding like them, in any incarnation.
Least favorite thing about FM: The fact that it takes 20 years to make a frickin' record!
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Far more obsessed.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Stevie, Lindsey, Bekka, Mick, John.
You wish for the future of the Mac: Just one more album, please!

When you became a fan: 2006
How you became a fan: Interestingly enough I found two songs from Future Games and two from Bare Trees ('Danny's Chant' and 'Bare Trees', I think for FG it was 'Woman of a Thousand Years and 'Sands of Time') on a blog from a guy who found them in his parent's basement and had to share their beauty. Though I had remembered listening to Mac with my parents (they had the Dance) and I raided my parents stuff and found The Dance on CD. I then got Tusk and Rumours and seeked out the Welch and Kirwan stuff as soon as I could whilst grooving on I'm So Afraid, The Chain, Tusk, Sweet Girl, Dreams, etc. Songs I didn't even know I knew!
First 3 FM songs: I guess it was Bare Trees that sealed the deal. And the other Kirwan selections, Danny's Chant and Woman of 1000 Years. Odd, that.
First FM vocalist: Kirwan
Favorite FM Time Period: Really, it'd be 69-87, but I'll narrow it down a bit and go '71-'79. But if it's more line-up specific I'll give up and go with the FM/Rumours/Tusk trifecta.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: That's tough. I'd say 40% Lindsey 30% Christine 30% Stevie
Concerts you've attended: none. I'll get out now.
FM stuff you own: Don't have any posters or t-shirts, but I got the whole collection on CD and some sweet vinyl finds. I've been off and on buying Mac related tunes to groove to for five years and just today I got Buckingham Nicks on vinyl (I had some not so great bootleg CD copy before that) and I'm Not Me for $3 and then In the Skies with an alternate Canadian pressing cover for $20 some odd dollars.
Favorite thing about FM: Mostly the guitarists. Green, Kirwan, Buck, Welch. Every era had something sweet going on sonically. Except Behind the Mask maybe. I also love the honest lyrics and there's just a mysterious quality that the songwriters in this band seem to possess. Maybe that's why they've all gone off the deep end at one point or another. Save for Christine and Bob and some of the more pedestrain members (Billy, etc.). Stevie with the witchcraft imagery, Bob with the aliens, Peter's later stuff.
Least favorite thing about FM: The fact that most of my friends know I like them but they don't know there's more to them then the songs they play in the grocery stores (GYOW).
Most of them can't be bothered to know more either when I try and show them. There's a couple exceptions. But a lot of people just think pop, like Abba or the Eagles... when really the rhythms are so different for pop music even on the most mainstream singles...
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Well, I dumbfound my mother and my best friend with random Mac facts sometimes.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: A young healthy Kirwan, a willing Christine, Lindsey/Stevie, Green and John and Mick.
You wish for the future of the Mac: Just to see them live this year.

First FM vocalist: Stevie nicks but Im more of a Lindsey Fan now
Favorite FM Time Period: anything which wasnt "time album" :)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 70% lindsey 20% Stevie 10% christine
Concerts you've attended: Say You Will 2004 x2, stevie nicks enchanted tour, Unleashed x 2
FM stuff you own: FM and LB CDs and DVDs, couple of lindsey style guitars, buckingham nicks LP, bootleg vinyl (1977) , lindeys pick, few programmes, few tshirts and a hoodie
Least favorite thing about FM: The wait between tours and that Lindsey doesnt come to australia on solo tours
Are you the same fan you were when you started: No I was a die hard Nicks fan but Now Im a die hard Lindsey fan :)
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen (again): same as others (christine included)

First 3 FM songs: I may have heard 'Station Man' back in the day. And the two songs I mentioned on 'Mystery to me.'
First FM vocalist: Bob Welch
Favorite FM Time Period: Peter/Blues, Welch/Christine, '75 through Tusk, Mirage/TITN, BTM/Time, the Dance/2011 White album and Rumours

How you became a fan: My mom has always been a huge FM/SN fan, so I had heard them all my life, but in 1997 she played the **** out of The Dance and I loved it so much I made her go buy me a copy :]
First 3 FM songs: The first three I really learned the words to and loved were Dreams, Rhiannon, and Silver Springs.
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: Tusk!
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Lindsey - 20%, Stevie - 70%, Christine - 10%
Concerts you've attended: None :(

Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The Rumours five again.

First 3 FM songs: Dreams, Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop

Favorite thing about FM: Stephanie Lynn Nicks ♥
Least favorite thing about FM: That Lindsey left in 1987
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Much much bigger fan now!!! :D

When you became a fan: On loooooooong family car trips between New York (where we lived) and Florida (where we vacationed).
How you became a fan: During those trips, I heard "Dreams" over the radio many times and just watched the miles pass by.
First 3 FM songs (heard): It's too far back ... but "Dreams" ... I remember "Don't Stop" being played in gym class a lot and "Over My Head."
First FM vocalist (heard): Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: '75 through Tusk
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 30% Stevie, 30% Lindsey, 30% Christine, 10% Peter
Concerts you've attended: 1987 in Tampa, 2009 in Pittsburgh, Atlantic City and East Rutherford, 2008 LB in Atlantic City, New York and coming up, 2011, SN in AC. (I'm terrible with years except '87).
FM stuff you own: Most releases on vinyl, some boots, my pride and joy are five rings -- one with every member, probably from the Rumours era, and I wear the individual rings for each one I'm going to see when I see them in person. Also my treasured autograph from meeting Stevie at the NYC signing.
Favorite thing about FM: I love how they've always changed and grown into something else.
Least favorite thing about FM: It seems to take sooooooo long for new material!
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Not even close, but the music touches me in the very same way.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Mick-John-Lindsey-Stevie-Christine (with Peter!)
You wish for the future of the Mac: I wish that the past and present members are all happy and healthy, and if that means they don't take part in a project, it's fine by me.

Age Range: 39
Gender: femme fatale
When you became a fan: 1982 I was fully on the bandwagon
How you became a fan: Loved the Hold Me video. Completely enthralled w/ Stand Back, put 2 & 2 together, realized I am in Big Love w/ FM!
First 3 FM songs: Tusk, Never Make Me Cry, Hold Me
First FM vocalist: Lindsey, Christine, Stevie later (little did I know)
Favorite FM Time Period: Mirage, TITN
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: My name is Anita, and I am a Stevie Nicks fan. :wavey: HOWEVER, I have utmost appreciation for all things FM. And I also do not think that FM IS Stevie Nicks. To break down the Mac vocally, I'd try and even the % out between the Rumours line up. SN, LB & Chris, but I also REALLY like Welch.
Concerts you've attended: 1987 TITN being the first. I've gone as far as Colorado, Nevada, Northern/Southern Cal. FM/SN/LB shows tally real close to 100x's.
FM stuff you own: What I don't own are some of the higher end SN things. As for FM, it's bountiful. I have collector traits, and since becoming a fan, I began my collecting immediately. Even when I scaled things back a bit, I could still open a small exhibit. lol
Favorite thing about FM: Years and years of memories and the happiest place on earth for me to go to when things aren't so swell.
Least favorite thing about FM: A)The need to rape you financially if you want to see them live. Despite "times a changing" FM has a stake in this by touring w/out something to promote, etc. B)The need to keep the name FM on the marquee no matter who the line up. I both see the thinking and despise the thinking.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Economically, I'm a "bigger fan" cause I can buy what I want now. But I don't think that's what makes a fan neccessarily. The times I haven't been so much of a fan, is when I've gotten hosed by a fleeting fan. I've def had my ups and downs of fandom. To and for the band, it's never waivered.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The ultimate jam. Referring to the comment above, FM has gone thru so many tansitions. On the anniversary of FM being first FM, I think they ought to get any and all members (ugh, even Bekka ) and turn that mother out. THAT ould be worth the price of $300+ admission!
You wish for the future of the Mac:
I don't know what can or will be the future of FM. Keep making music if there is soul in it, not $signs. The dumbass that I am would buy it either way, but....

Age Range: 20
Gender: female
When you became a fan: From the time I was in the womb, due to my father repeatedly forcing my mother to listen to FM with him while she was pregnant
How you became a fan: See above - I was raised on FM
First 3 FM songs: I have no idea, since I've listened to them since I was a baby. I think the first one I can actually remember listening to is Sara.
First FM vocalist: see above
Favorite FM Time Period: The White Album through Tango in the Night. Pretty much anything, actually, with the exception of Time (it just feels wrong to me having a woman other than Stevie or Chris in the group)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Ugh this is too hard. Probably 50% Chris, 35% Stevie, and 15% Lindsey
Concerts you've attended: I've seen them twice on the Say You Will Tour (St. Paul on 6/19 and Philadelphia on 9/28), once on the Unleashed Tour (3/3 in St. Paul). I also saw Stevie during the Dreams tour (7/06 in Minneapolis).
FM stuff you own: Oh dearie me...hmm...I have all studio albums and compilations on CD, all the studio albums and some miscellaneous singles on vinyl, The Classic Albums of Rumours on DVD, Live in Boston on DVD, The Dance on both DVD and VHS, Tango in Night on both DVD and VHS, Mirage Tour Concert on VHS, 16 or so different books (I'm not sure how many there are total...), quite a few old magazines, probably enough posters to wallpaper the house (okay maybe not that many), autographed picture of Stevie signed personally to me...several vintage T-shirts (and new ones)...ugh, probably more that I can't remember. I won't even name the solo albums I have and which format, because I already have a headache from trying to think of all that stuff...
Favorite thing about FM: Well the music, of course :) I guess I also love how timeless they seem to be, both the music and as a band. I love that camaraderie that you see between them on videos and such (although in your mind you know that they're constantly fighting). I love how awesome they all seem as people. There just so cool, all around.
Least favorite thing about FM: I hate hearing about the fighting and how miserable some people were touring and recording, and how bad the drug use was - just all the negative stuff. I don't dislike them for it; I just wish it didn't have to happen like that. No one wants the people they look up to to be miserable, do they? Hearing about Christine having panic attacks is another thing that just kills me -I myself have panic disorder and a lot of anxiety/phobias. I know how horrible panic attacks are. I really love Chris with all my heart and I hate that she had to go through something so horrid. Poor thing. Anyhow, the drugs and fighting shaped a lot of the music they through the years though, so maybe I don't wish it had ever happened. Hmm. I don't like Chris being gone, either.
Are you the same fan you were when you started: Seeing as I started as a fan at a very young age, definitely not. A lot of that is just growing up and learning what things mean, though - understanding something in the lyrics you were too young to get before, an epiphany about the meaning of a song, that sort of thing. I also took an interest in learning about the band itself and the members, instead of just listening to the music (then again, most people do that with bands they love). When I started playing piano and guitar growing up, I could really appreciate a lot of the actual musical things more. I guess for quite awhile as I was growing up, I was also the ever evolving fan. I'm also for more obsessive these days, I suppose :D
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Nothing fancy - John, Christine, Mick, Stevie, Lindsey. I've always said that I'd willingly trade the 3 times I've seen Fleetwood Mac live for the chance to see them with Chris just once. In a heartbeat.
You wish for the future of the Mac: I'd DIE for Chris to come back. Also, I guess I'd really just want them to keep making albums, plus touring every so often would be nice too. As long as they're happy and enjoying it.

This is a cool idea fr a thread.
Age: 35
Gender: female
When you became a fan: Casual fan: 1987 when TITN came out. I had the cassette. Interest re-peaked as of 1997. Crazed fan around '03.
How you became a fan: Seeing The Dance on TV.
First 3 FM songs: Like, Top 3? The Chain, Go Your Own Way, Angel
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: '75 through Tusk if I had to choose.
Concerts you've attended: Oh God, I've lost count. 1 Dance show. 7 SYW shows (?) including a dress rehearsal. 1 Unleashed show.
FM stuff you own: Several Tshirts, programs, vinyl, a few posters
Favorite thing about FM: The music
Least favorite thing about FM: Too long in between albums.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: NO. I was way more of a naive shipper then. I'm more cynical now.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Same as now + Christine
You wish for the future of the Mac: That they'd get their **** together to do a 45/35/25/15 year anniversary tour in '12 with past members (namely Chris, Peter, Bob) making appearances at various shows to do a couple of their era's tunes. Add that to the "won't ever happen" list above.

Age: Just turned 20 :]

When you became a fan: I believe it was November 17, 2010!
How you became a fan: We were putting up our Christmas tree and my dad put The Dance CD on. Him and my mom went upstairs right after that and I layed down on the bed and just started listening to the music...and was BLOWN AWAY! Especially by Rhiannon!
First 3 FM songs: I had obviously heard FM before that day. I distinctly remember Go Your Own Way from my childhood. I think every child remembers their father playing that one! Also I know I had heard Say You Will before. But the first 3 that I heard that day were The Chain, Dreams and Everywhere. The first 3 songs on The Dance album
First FM vocalist: Lindsey ;)
Favorite FM Time Period: Tusk all the way! Then Tango in the Night and The Dance-present.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 60%-Lindsey 30%-Stevie 10%-Christine. But this changes a lot.
Concerts you've attended: Haven't been a fan long enough. But will definitely see them next time they come around! I heard Lindsey is planning a tour for Seeds We Sow and I am already preparing for that!
FM stuff you own: Only the deluxe edition of the white album on CD that my friend got me for my birthday. I just ordered Tusk off amazon 2 days ago  I look forward to getting the rest of the albums in time. Along with everyone's solo work that I'm not at all familiar with except Go Insane. There is still sooo much Fleetwood Mac I have yet to discover!
Favorite thing about FM: The music of course, but also the DRAMA :p Their stories and relationships are what make their music that much more interesting.
Least favorite thing about FM: Lizard People... I am ashamed that that song is associated with the name Fleetwood Mac! I try to forget it exists!
Are you the same fan your where when you started: The same day I heard The Dance I borrowed my dad's copy and listened to it A LOT! It wasn't until the beginning of the year though that I really got into them in an obsessive kind of way
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: I think Carol Ann Harris should have been added to the band.... <-- JOKING! I am insanely interested in her though!
You wish for the future of the Mac: Obviously another album! It would also be nice if Christine would perform again with them at least once!

First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks
Favorite FM Time Period: '75-Tusk
Vocalist breakdown by percentage:
Stevie 50%
Lindsey 25%
Christine 25%
Concerts you've attended: "Say You Will" in 2003 and "Unleased" in 2009.
FM stuff you own: My most treasured item is a signed vinyl copy of "Rumours" by all five members. Albums, some singles, CDs, vinyl, tour programs, bootlegs, vintage advertisments, etc.
Favorite thing about FM: The fact that there's been so many different songwriters in the bands history. It really keeps things fresh and different with so much to explore and choose from.
Least favorite thing about FM: They don't tour often enough.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I still love them as much as I did when I first got into them. I guess songs that I didn't really listen to before are now amongst my favourites, i/e "Isn't It Midnight" and "I Know I'm Not Wrong."

My fav moment of that song, hahaha.
My mum liked that part but was kind of 'what the f-' when I said it was a Fleetwood Mac song.
On an unrelated note someone got me a sweet Fleetwood Mac tour poster from the 70s when they came to the Tacoma Dome; it features characters akin to Lindsey and Stevie on a horse looking regal with hills and skinny trees in the background.
Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I missed out on this the first time around.
Age Range: 19  so whatever that category falls under.
Gender: female
When you became a fan: late 2006
How you became a fan: I knew about Fleetwood Mac for years, but when I was 13 or so, I listened to my mom's Rumours cd and liked it. However, I didn't become a huge fan until the spring of 2007.
First 3 FM songs: The first ones I heard? Second Hand News, Dreams, Never Going Back Again. Well, it was probably more like Don't Stop and Go Your Own Way on the radio.
First FM vocalist: Stevie first caught my eye, both vocally and physically. Lindsey's hair freaked me out and I thought he wasn't wearing pants on the Rumours liner notes.
Favorite FM Time Period: 1975 through 1987.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: That's difficult, but I like Stevie and Lindsey almost equally. Christine is awesome, but I find some of her songs quite boring (Mystified, anyone?).
Concerts you've attended: One Unleashed concert. I was nonexistent during the glory years and nobody stops in my province.
FM stuff you own: Nearly every FM album, including Fleetwood Mac in Chicago on vinyl, which I haven't listened to yet. Something Big, Buckingham Nicks re-issue on vinyl, all of Stevie's albums from 1981 through 1989, then 2007-2011, all of Lindsey's solo albums, and In the Meantime. I also have a ton of demos, live shows, and things on DVD ("real" DVDs include The Dance, Live in Boston, Destiny Rules, Classic Albums: Rumours, Crystal Visions, Live at the Bass Performance Hall).
I have (if I counted correctly) five FM shirts and a hoodie, two FM posters and a Stevie poster, signed Gift of Screws, Rumours songbook, another songbook, some clippings and photos, Mick's two books, a Gift of Screws mug. I'm probably forgetting something.
Favorite thing about FM: The music?
Least favorite thing about FM: The lack of music videos and concerts on dvd.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I suppose, but I don't rabidly collect live shows or demos anymore.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Rumours lineup :sorry:
You wish for the future of the Mac: More dvd releases and for all past and present band members to be happy, healthy, and to release more music if they're up for it.

When you became a fan: In 2009
How you became a fan: My dad showed me the Tango In The Night concert, and when I heard The Chain I fell in love, then I started to dig and dig more about the band, until I became obsessed.
First 3 FM songs: The Chain, Dreams & Little Lies
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks
Favorite FM Time Period: I love everythin! From the Peter Green's Blues to now! But I would say that 75' through Tusk is my favorite era.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Stevie 40%. Christine 30%. Lindsey 30%
Concerts you've attended: None :(
FM stuff you own: Just Albums
Favorite thing about FM: The diversity of their music!
Least favorite thing about FM: That they take a lot of years to make a new album.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No, I was the kind who liked a couple of songs, now, I am obsessed!
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The Rumours lineup
You wish for the future of the Mac: Their last album with a farewell tour with Christine Mcvie

When you became a fan: 2002
How you became a fan: Heard Landslide on the radio while getting my haircut. Was lucky that my dad actually had The Dance CD and become a fan from there.
First 3 FM songs: The first 3 I ever heard? hmmm. I'm going to guess Landslide, Little Lies, and Say You Love Me.
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: '75 through Tusk
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Have no clue how to do this one. Stevie > Christine > Lindsey, but I like all 3.
Concerts you've attended: Chicago 2005: Stevie Nicks & Don Henley
FM stuff you own: CDs and a ticket stub
Favorite thing about FM: The music
Least favorite thing about FM: Nothing!
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Not quite.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Christine to return
You wish for the future of the Mac: Never get so old that they can't sing and perform.

When you became a fan: 1993
How you became a fan: Had always heard the Mac (parents were fans), but struck out on my own and bought Bella Donna on CD - first CD I ever bought.
First 3 FM songs: Gypsy, Landslide, and Sara
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: The Dance. They were everywhere and they looked good. People were excited about them. Nice.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage:
Stevie - 80%
Lindsey - 19%
Chris and everyone else - 1%
Not gonna lie.
Concerts you've attended: Dozens between 2003-2007, Unleashed not so much
FM stuff you own: All CDs and vinyl, lots of odds and ends, framed Hatch Show print from Buck's 2006 show at the Ryman, framed Rhiannon watercolor Stevie did with the lyrics on the side.
Favorite thing about FM: getting lost in the music
Least favorite thing about FM: Money-grabbing crap "Unleashed" tour
Are you the same fan your where when you started: It's ebbed and flowed a little over the years. 2003-4 there were so many sites up with demos and boots and people were keen on trading. Then after Stevie's 2005 fabulousness it was Eh for a while. Then Buck finally came out with an album and that was super cool. Then not so much. I don't think the community will ever rally like we did during SYW, and I'm glad I was a part of it.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Buckingham/Nicks.
You wish for the future of the Mac: They keep doing cool stuff even after they're wheelchair-bound.

When you became a fan: 2001
How you became a fan: I was watching National Lampoon's Vacation during a difficult time in my life and heard "Holiday Road" and "Dancin' Across the USA", which were songs I'd heard growing up and got curious about the singer. I then did some internet research and bought Lindsey's OOTC and Go Insane albums. Then, bought the FM Greatest Hits CD and it grew from there. :)
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, Dreams and Little Lies probably. No idea.
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks probably is the voice I remember hearing when I was younger.
Favorite FM Time Period: Rumours and SYW eras along with Bare Trees/Future Games and Then Play On.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 50% Lindsey, 25% Stevie, 8% Danny, 7% Christine, 5% Bob Welch, 5% Peter (Too much math involved here! LOL)
Concerts you've attended:
Too many to list here and I forget dates. LOL I think I've seen Lindsey 13 times, FM about 8-9 times and Stevie once.
FM stuff you own: Albums, CDs, posters, DVDs, couple of tee-shirts, keychain and one of the yearbooks from Lindsey's time there
Favorite thing about FM: The diverse music and their chemistry
Least favorite thing about FM: Non-flexible setlists in concert
Are you the same fan you were when you started: No, my love for this band has mellowed out, but not in a bad way. *I* am not the same person I was when I became a fan, and my life is very different. My love for their music is unwavering though.

Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Danny Kirwan, Peter Green, Stevie Nicks, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Jeremy Spencer, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood.

Gender: Male
When you became a fan: 1977
How you became a fan: Hearing their songs on the radio, and inheriting my sister's albums: Future Games, Mystry to Me, Fleetwood Mac, Rumours
Favorite FM Time Period: All of them, in varying degrees
Concerts you've attended:
Fleetwood Mac: 1 Mirage, 2 Behind the Mask, 2 The Dance, 2 Say You Will
Stevie Nicks: 1 Rock a Little, 1 Other Side of the Mirror, 2 Trouble in Shangrila 1 Enchanted
Peter Green: 1
Lindsey Buckingham: 1 Out of the Cradle, 2 Under the Skin, 1 Gift of Screws
FM stuff you own:
Tons of Vinyl, picture singles, 12" singles, posters, CDs, cassettes, 8 tracks, tour programs, books, t-shirts, key chains etc... as well as countless bootlegs - a fairly comprehensive collection. Love my vintage Fillmore West poster circa 1969: Fleewood Mac is second on the bill to Jr. Walker & the All Stars. (?)
Favorite thing about FM:
Their longevity, their diversity, their oddness
Least favorite thing about FM:
By comparison to more prolific artists -- the years of dormancy. Also, the self-imposed rigidity when it comes to set lists; they are not nimble
Are you the same fan your where when you started:
Older, wiser, and just as passionate and critical about them
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen:
A show where every single member of Fleetwood appears - even Dave Walker! They are all still alive, though, sadly, Danny Kirwan may not be up to par

Another album by the current Buckingham Nicks line-up
Re-releases of deluxe verions of Mirage, Live, Tango in the Night
A live box set spanning 1975-to the present

Favorite thing about FM: BN Chemistry/History, multi-generational appeal
Least favorite thing about FM: $$$ Greed and/or aloofishness
Are you the same fan you were when you started: Yes and no, I go through phases where I'll be really into them and then it will fade away. I was a huge "shipper" back in the day but that has tapered off for me (though I still appreciate the romantic aspect, I'm much more realistic/grounded).
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Lindsey, Stevie, Christine, Mick, and John :)
Your wish for the future of the Mac: New music, would love a BN release and tour of smaller venues, would really really love a FM musical

First FM vocalist: First one that I immediately connected with when I saw The Dance was Christine McVie. I didn't get Stevie until I watched it a second time.
Favorite FM Time Period: Welch/Christine through Tusk. I love the Mystery to Me album.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 40% Stevie, 40% Christine, 20% Lindsey

Favorite thing about FM: The blend of male and female, "the great singers and the great playerrrrssss..." (tee hee)
Least favorite thing about FM: Mick's drum vest.
Are you the same fan you were when you started: Definitely not. I didn't listen to FM for several years and, thanks to Stevie's new album, rediscovered them this year. I appreciate them so much more now than I did before. I'm realizing that these people are not going to be around forever and just how incredibly lucky I am to have been fan and been able to see them live.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: To have Christine back, even if it's just for a new album.

When you became a fan: February 2010
How you became a fan: Saw Stevie sing w/ Taylor Swift at the Grammies. I thought Taylor sucked but Stevie was awesome! Admittedly, Fleeetwood Mac is my mom's favorite artist, but I always ignored them until that night. Then I raided my mom's CD to find this Rhiannon song. I thought the studio version was amazing but was totally blown away by the version on the "Live" album from 1980. After that I slowly discovered other songs and now have heard every album they have done since the "Fleetwood Mac" album from 1975.
First 3 FM songs: As in my top 3 favs? I spose I'll do 1 from each main songwriter. Stevie: Silver Springs (Studio Version) ; Christine: Say You Love Me; Lindsey: Miranda
First FM vocalist: Oh Jeez, I love all 3 of the ones from the Rumours era, but I am currently on a bit of a Christine kick.
Favorite FM Time Period: 1975-1979.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 35 % Stevie, 35% Christine, 30 % Lindsey. I just don't think Lindsey is as good of a singer as Stevie and Christine.
Concerts you've attended: None :(
FM stuff you own: Rumours CD, Greatest Hits CD, Very Best of Fleetwood Mac CD.
Favorite thing about FM: Their ability to channel their personal issue into timeless music.
Least favorite thing about FM: Hmm never thought of this before. I suppose my least favorite thing is that they didn't make more albums, especially during the eighties.
Are you the same fan you where when you started: Nope. I like them more and more every day :]
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Christine coming back :(
You wish for the future of the Mac: To create at least one more album so that there will have been one released in "my time".
Age Range: 29
Gender: Male
When you became a fan: 1993
How you became a fan: Found my parents Greatest Hits '88 cassette, played it, realized I recognized/liked all these disparate songs that happened to be by the same band! :o
First 3 FM songs: "Rhiannon", "Dreams", "Don't Stop"
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: 1975-1990
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Stevie - 40%, Lindsey - 30%, Christine 30%
Concerts you've attended: FM - 6, SN - 7, LB - 3
FM stuff you own: Pretty much everything audio/video officially released (in some form or another), dozens of bootlegs, a couple posters, all the books (though I haven't read Carol Ann's yet).
Favorite thing about FM: Um... the music? Followed closely by the drama/soap opera.
Least favorite thing about FM: The egos that have always prohibited their output.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Not really. Back in the day I had years worth of info and music to voraciously research/devour. Now, I know everything so that same spark/interest isn't there. If that makes any sense...
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Rumours line-up. Cliche, I know...
You wish for the future of the Mac: See above. If not, at least put out another studio album before calling it quits.

I haven't posted here in a very long time, but I lurk. So I figure now's a good time to post again. :D
Age Range: 26
Gender: female
When you became a fan: Roughly 1995. Not because of Time (had no idea it existed), because that was when I first listened to the classic rock station a lot, and they played SHN, Monday Morning, SYLM, The Chain, etc. all the time. I really liked the group (whose name I didn't know yet) because they had catchy songs and both male and female singers, which made me think of the Mamas and Papas. Then The Dance happened and I did very little besides repeatedly watch the video and anything on VH1...
How you became a fan: See above.
First 3 FM songs: Second Hand News, Don't Stop, and probably Rhiannon (which I used to hate before I knew anything about it - I was freaked out by the opening chords)
First FM vocalist: Lindsey
Favorite FM Time Period: Honestly, I like almost everything besides the Tango/BTM era.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Mostly Lindsey.
Concerts you've attended: Stevie - Jones Beach 1998 (essentially my first concert) and 2001. Lindsey - Town Hall 2006 (and 2011), Nokia Theater 2008. FM - Nassau Coliseum 2003, Today Show 2003, Jones Beach 2004, MSG 2009.
FM stuff you own: Official CDs (Then Play On, Bare Trees, Mystery To Me, Fleetwood Mac remastered, Rumours remastered, Rumours DVD audio, Tusk, Tusk remastered, Live, Mirage, Tango, Behind The Mask, Selections from 25 Years The Chain, Time, FM Family Album, Say You Will, SN - OTSOTM, TISL, Planets remix CD, IYD; LB - everything; CM - Christine McVie 1984; Bob Welch - Three Hearts w/ extra tracks, Other One/Man Overboard, both Paris albums; JM - Gotta band; Kirwan - Ram Jam City), a few bootleg CDs, VHS/DVDs (official and otherwise), a bunch of T-shirts, loads of posters, magazines, press kits, the Rumours 'n' Fax book, and a few songbooks. (I only own the white album (original version), Rumours (OV), and The Dance on cassette...)
Favorite thing about FM: The music.
Least favorite thing about FM: How much time they spend rehashing the SAME stories (not even variations!) whenever they talk about Rumours or Tusk. And how unwilling they are to try different songs live.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No, I know about all the eras of the band now and I'm not as likely to blindly defend every single thing they do.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The Rumours group, of course. And I'd throw Bob Welch in there too.
You wish for the future of the Mac: That they actually record something else (and tour of course)...

First FM vocalist: SN
Favorite FM Time Period: When it has John & Mick on it, it's usually good...
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 40% Stevie, 40% Lindsey, 20% Christine
Concerts you've attended: A lot, but no FM yet... :o
FM stuff you own: Most of the "classic" albums, SYW, Greatest Hits (from 2002), The Dance DVD, Live in Boston DVD. I have many, many FM songs on Itunes too, even though I'll defend the cd 'til death do us apart.
Favorite thing about FM: SN when she was younger...
Least favorite thing about FM: The long gap between albums...
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Yes, and I now can safely say that my musical tastes go from ADELE to Morbid Angel.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: It's good as it is, every FM period had/has brilliant moments.

First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM time period: Tusk and then Bare trees eras
Vocalist breakdown: 50% Stevie, 30% Christine, 20% Lindsey, but I've been listening to Bare Trees, Heroes Are Hard to Find, and Mystery to Me lately...

FM Stuff you own: Bare Trees, Mystery to Me, Penguin, Heroes are Hard to Find, FM, Rumours, Mirage, and TITN on vinyl; FM, Rumours, Tusk, Greatest Hits on CD, SYW on CD; all of SN's solo albums except TISL- Bella Donna on vinyl and CD, The Wild Heart on vinyl and CD, RAL on vinyl, OSOTM and Street Angel on CD, Crystal Visions, a bunch of random FM and SN demos too. Favorite thing about FM: How different all of their albums are and how their music is constantly evolving.
Least favorite thing about FM: They're getting old, like all of the last great bands/artists.
Are you the same fan you are when you started: No, I know so much more now, and I am just getting into the pre-rumours albums and enoying them.
All time dream lineup: Stevie, Lindsey, Christine, Mick, John, and Danny
Wish for the future Mac: That the tradition will be carried on, and younger members will gradually phase out the older members if they feel like they're not up to it anymore. But mostly, I just hope the music stays true to the FM legacy.

Favorite thing about FM: The music and the feelings it evokes. Their staying power and ability to transcend the times and stay relevant and awesome through it all, especially giving the way the world is today.
Least favorite thing about FM: Hard to say, I guess it would be wondering how amazing they could have been if drugs and everything hadn't happened...maybe they would be healthier now. Or maybe that was all nessescary...
Are you the same fan you where when you started: No, I appreciate them more everyday.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Christine coming back

10. Stuff I own: only CD's ("Fleetwood Mac", "Rumours-Deluxe Edition", "Tusk", "Tusk-Deluxe Edition", "Mirage", "Tango In The Night", "Behind The Mask", "Greatest Hits", "The Very Best of...", "Say You Will")
11. Favourite thing about FM: music :)
12. Least favourite: why only two studio albums during the 80's??
13. No, I'm not the same. I started as a Stevie's fanatic but now I discover the beauty of the music of other members
14. Classic line-up with Christine, Stevie, Lindsay, Mick and John
or...Stevie, Lindsay, Mick, John and...Linda Ronstadt:)
15. NEW ALBUM!!! How long can we wait for the new music???

When you became a fan: 1993
How you became a fan: Billy Burnette is in the credits of the CD "Mystery Girl" by Roy Orbison as guitarist and writer of thesong "All I Can Do Is Dream You". I liked the song and a while later, I heard he was in Fleetwood Mac. Another while later, I heard this guy Lindsey Buckingham whose "Out Of the Cradle" album had just come out, is also a member of Fleetwood Mac. So I got that CD and liked it a lot. Another while later, I got "Coming Home" by Billy Burnette upon its release. Wow. Next, I found a cutout CD of "Behind the Mask" and got to know the ladies.
First 3 FM songs: Do You Know, What's the World Coming To, Twisted
First FM vocalist: Billy Burnette
Favorite FM Time Period: BTM up to today
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Billy, Christine, Stevie, Lindsey 25% each
Concerts you've attended: None.
FM stuff you own: all their full length CDs from "Tango in the Night" onwards with the exception of The Chain Boxset, a few select FM CD-singles, 3 Lindsey solo CDs, 6 Billy solo CDs including Bekka & Billy, 3 Stevie solo CDs, 1 Christine solo CD and John McVie's "Gotta Band" with Lola Thomas.
Favorite thing about FM: there is a certain sexiness to the songs with vocals by both Christine and Stevie
Least favorite thing about FM: 1) the BTM band never had the chance to shine, touring behind only one of their own albums, but instead behind an album of the previous version of the band, behind a Greatest Hits set by previous versions of the band, behind a career retrospective boxset of the previous versions of the band; 2) the drugs which limited the creativity of the songwriters, especially of Stevie; 3) cheesy 80s era production
Are you the same fan you were when you started: Joe Walsh would say "I'm actin' different but I have not changed".
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen:Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Billy Burnette, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks, Lola Thomas (my oh my how great could these 4 part harmony vocals have been)
and a lead guitarist (either Rick Vito or Michael Thompson)
You wish for the future of the Mac: 1) a new bluesy solo album from Christine; 2) Lindsey rediscovering electric guitar rock on his next solo album;
3) Rick Vito recording an album with Mick and John as his rhythm section and Stevie as a guest vocalist; 4) Many many more great songs written and recorded by Billy Burnette, both pop/rock and country; 5) Yet another Stevie solo album in a few years

Age: 29
Gender: Female
When you became a fan: Almost 2 years ago, even if I knew some of their songs
How you became a fan: Watching for the first time the "Little Lies" video on a 80s local music channel while I lived in Turin (Italy) with my ex gf. I suddenly fell in love with their music and with Chris.
First 3 FM songs that got you hooked: "Little lies", "Everywhere", "Songbird"
First FM vocalist that got you hooked: CHRISTINE ANNE PERFECT MCVIE
Favorite FM Time Period: 1975 ("White album"), 1977 ("Rumours"), 1982 ("Mirage") and 1987 ("Tango in the night").
Favorite vocalist breakdown by percentage: I should say "Chris 100%", but I'll be kind: Chris 70%, Stevie 30% :D
Concerts you've attended: Unluckily no one, since I live in Italy, I discovered them too late and I couldn't go to the U.S. Even if I'd discovered them before, I'd had to be born at least in 1960/1970 to be able to see them. I haven't been so lucky in my life.
FM stuff you own: Unfortunately not very much at the moment, except for their video interviews, documentaries, photos and my first precious 1987 original 7" vinyl ("Little lies/Ricky") that I bought from Germany 2 months ago.
Favorite thing about FM: They changed the history of modern music forever. They were geniuses. They were professionally great together and had always been able to compensate each other, even during bad times.
Least favorite thing about FM: The fact they all used a lot of drugs during the 70s (and partly in the 80s) and the fact they changed for the worse during the "Rumours" era. The violent fights within the couples, with John chasing Chris with a butcher knife and Lindsey trying to choke Stevie and then kicking her on stage in Australia.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I'm a biggest fan now. I started looking for anything about their lives, the band's history and reading or watching as many interviews as possible, so now I'm able to understand a lot of things that have happened in those years within the group. All the things I still don't know, I'm learning it here from expert or older Ledgies.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The group as it was from 1974 to 1987. I really miss Chris, but I accept her decision to retire from music because I love and respect her.
You wish for the future of the Mac: If it will be impossible to see you coming back with FM, I hope you will release new solo albums for all your fans, Chris.
Of course we're not forcing you to do it, but if you feel that the poetry in your heart and in your mind starts to compose itself, don't stop it, but let it move your fingers on the shiny keys of your piano and keep giving us emotions, as you always did, because only you know how to do it well.
At last, I wish you all the best: health, happines, peace, love. I like to think about you and believing in my heart that wherever you are, whatever you're doing today, you are finally happy and your beautiful smile and big ocean blue eyes that conquered all of us (along with your talent and charm) are still fully shining. I love you. -Laura from Italy-

First 3 FM songs that got you hooked: Rhiannon, Hypnotized, Go Your Own Way
First FM vocalist that got you hooked: Nicks-McVie-Buckingham harmonies
Favorite FM Time Period: Welch era
Favorite vocalist breakdown by percentage: too difficult :)
Concerts you've attended: Two during White Album/Rumours era, Bob Welch around the time of French Kiss.
FM stuff you own: albums from Future Games through Tusk. Used to have some of the Peter Green-era albums on vinyl. Welch solo recordings.
Favorite thing about FM: the genuine artistry of much of their work
Least favorite thing about FM: some of the later, blander stuff, and band drama.
Are you the same fan you were when you started: Of course not!
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The "Mystery To Me" lineup (minus the drama), Buckingham, Nicks -- and me!

How you became a fan:My mom liked Stevie Nicks and I didn't know she was in FM until my uncle told me.Then my uncle let me listen to the Rumours album and I liked it.
First 3 FM songs:There's too many but I will have to say Hold Me,Dreams and Big Love
First FM vocalist:Stevie Nicks
Favorite FM Time Period: '75 through Tusk and Mirage/TITN
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: I'm going to go with a breakdown of 100% in total; 40% Stevie, 31% Christine 29% Lindsey
Concerts you've attended:None.I was never able to go to one due to not being able to afford it and health problems.
FM stuff you own:Only mp3's from Mystery To Me up to Trouble In Shangri La.I haven't gotten around to purchasing other recent songs.Pictures on the computer.I want to buy albums (cd's and vinyl) and posters.Possibly memorabilia.
Favorite thing about FM:They make good music.
Least favorite thing about FM:They wait too long between albums/they've fallen into a routine in the past 10-15 years.
Are you the same fan your where when you started:I'm a bigger fan now.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen:Mick Fleetwood, John Mcvie, Christine Mcvie, Bob Welch,Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham

That they stay together for a long time.
They get along.
Make new music and record demo's.
That Christine would consider joining again.

Age Range: Forties
Gender: female
When you became a fan:mid to late '70s
How you became a fan: Just hearing their songs on the radio.
First 3 FM songs: That I remember hearing? Rhiannon, Over My Head, Dreams
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks
Favorite FM Time Period: '75 - '82
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Stevie 50%, Christine 40%, Lindsey 10%
Concerts you've attended: Tango through Say You Will, plus 4 Stevie solo shows and 1 solo Lindsey show
FM stuff you own: LPs, CDs, T-shirts, books, 45s (love the sleeves those came in), posters. Also old cassette tapes and a few CDs of outtakes/demos.
Favorite thing about FM: Wide variety of songs, different writers and singers keep things fresh.
Least favorite thing about FM: One is that Chris basically phoned in her contributions to the Time album. Another is Stevie's songs on the Tango and Behind the Mask albums.... except for Seven Wonders it's really sub-par material for her.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I'm not as much into collecting as I used to be, just continue to love the music.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen:The Fab Five plus Danny Kirwan.
Your wish for the future of the Mac: Another great album (or two!) as wonderful as the White Album and Rumours (my favorite albums). Also, that Stevie, Lindsey, and Christine would each write long, detailed autobiographies, without using ghost writers, and include lots of rare photos!

Age Range: 20 on the 26th. =D
Gender: Male
When you became a fan: Maybe two years ago now?
How you became a fan: My mom always liked the Mac and is a big Stevie fan. I started to lissten to them again when I went off to college, and have been hooked ever since.
First 3 FM songs: Well, the first song I ever remember hearing would probably be Rhiannon, and that's mainly because of my mom. After that, it would probably have been anything on 'The Dance' album.
First FM vocalist: Stevie, I would think. But Lindsey is amazing as well.
Favorite FM Time Period: Rumours crew. I really wish I would have gotten to see Chris perform with the Mac atleast once, but I doubt that will happen. =(
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: I would say Lindsey and Stevie at about 75%, so about 43% each. The rest for Chris, and while I like her songs, I can relate more to Lindsey and Stevie. But I wouldn't mind hearing Over and Over a few times. =D
Concerts you've attended: Just Stevie Nicks on the 6th of July in Detroit. I plan on seeing Lindsey at some point as well as the Mac in 2013.
FM stuff you own: All of the Rumours Era albums with the 5. Rumours, Tusk, Live, Mirage, Tango, The Dance, as well as Live in Boston and Say You Will. I also have bits and pieces of other albums, but mainly the Rumours stuff.
Favorite thing about FM: That they write a majority of their own music, and that the emotions flow through the music. It makes it feel as if you can feel what they're feeling (Woah, lotta feeling) and lets you even provoke your own emotions through the music. Stevie said at the concert I attended that she may interpret a song one way, but it's all about how the person who is listening interprets it, and how they relate to it.
Least favorite thing about FM: The fact that they break up all the time, haha. The good thing about the technelogical age is that I can seee some portions of the Old Mac on the internet, and have a sort of history lesson. I mean, speaking of my short time with the Mac, if there was no internet I would have been royally screwed, since they were all out on their own.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I'd say yes. I find that I move from different time periods a lot. Like, I was on The Dance phase for a long time, then jumped to post Chris time, then went way back to Tusk. So, I don't really know.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The original 5. I wouldn't mind seeing Peter Green there however. That man can play a guitar.
You wish for the future of the Mac: New album would be amazing!
I might as well my top three songs as well;
1. Storms
2. Book Of Love
3. Over and Over
That's at the moment. Next week I could be in a completely different spot.

First 3 FM songs: As a child i fell asleep to the radio, and once i became a fan i remembered hearing; Dreams, Landlside, Go Your Own Way, Lovin' Fun, Say You Love Me, Don't Stop and Big Love
First FM vocalist: Stevie! <3 I have recently started obsessing Chris
Favorite FM Time Period: 1975- 1980 ~ The "interesting" drug years.

Stevie- 10!
Christine- 9
Lindsey- 6.5
Mick- 6.5
John- 6 (he's odd but I like him.)

Favorite thing about FM: The drama. The music. The relationships. The affiars. The britishness.
Least favorite thing about FM: The line-up in between Tango to The Dance.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Noooooooo
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Rumours 5. That's the REAL FM. That's where the music is ;)
You wish for the future of the Mac: I hope this tour causes them a HUGE come back and the next album that they produce grows almost as big as Rumours. Stevie always said she wanted to go out with a bang!
I wish they continue (or start) doing what makes them happy. ~I hope they find their love, their own designs of love~

When you became a fan: 87 for Mac; 84-85 for SN
How you became a fan: Through Stevie, of course. I have quotted this story too many times to tell, but I saw the BL video in 87 and remember thinking “Who the hell is this NEW band?” LOL
First 3 FM songs: Heard? Probably BL, and also Dreams, GYOW (but I had no idea who they were)
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: Rumours line up 75-82; Secondly BTM line-up, thirdly Welch and McVie (Love them)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 40% Chris, 20% Stevie, 20% Linds, 10% Peter, 5% Bob, 5% other
Concerts you've attended: All SN shows since Street Angel, All FM shows since BTM (minus Time tour).
FM stuff you own: Most everything from 75-Present
Favorite thing about FM: Three part harmony and 3 songwriters/singers. The variety of it all. Of course I love the rhythm section, too
Least favorite thing about FM: The many break-ups and hiatiases. I wish that BTM line-up would have continued and done another album or 2
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Yes, a fanATIC
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Bob Welch(RIP) Chris, John and Mick, Stevie, Billy and Rick...ah hell add LB in there, too :p
Your wish for the future of the Mac:
For CM to do a “one off” extended show and play with all the members in a 30-40 song jam session (all recorded, of course)
For The Fab 5 to record a new (and final) album....the lonesome 4 to keep touring.
Mick to do a Movie/Musical from his book.
Mick and LB to arrange another box set featuring a full CD for each songwriter, respectively. This can be purchased solo CD or Box form.
FM to finally release there official videos and some famous concert staples on one DVD.

Oh what a fun thread.
Age Range: Late 20s
Gender: Female
When you became a fan: Gradually but let's say 1997.
How you became a fan: FM radio + "The Dance" hoopla + mom.
First 3 FM songs: "Dreams", "Rhiannon", "Go Your Own Way", "Say You Love Me", "Sara", "Landslide", "Gypsy", "You Make Loving Fun" and "Gold Dust Woman", that's the narrowest I can get it.
First FM vocalist: The three-way harmony on the chorus of "Go Your Own Way".
Favorite FM Time Period: 1969-1982 (late Green, Welch years, early Rumours)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: As vocalists? I have no idea beyond the fact that Stevie's voice at its best was really special to me. I love all the vocalists (caveat that I don't know the BTM era very well) though some are partly for their instrument playing, some for their songwriting and style, etc.
Concerts you've attended: Dallas, two months from now.
FM stuff you own: Fleetwood Mac '75, Rumours, Tusk, The Making of Rumors.
Favorite thing about FM: The three part harmony of the Rumours era, the blend of influences and personalities, the guitars of PG, DK, and LB, the songcraft.
Least favorite thing about FM: All the lost time and potential albums that never were because of drama. The need to sell fifty trillion copies (it's not 1974, y'all are fine now).
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No, how could I be, I know more ...
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Bob + the five fireflies
Your wish for the future of the Mac: Including the utterly unrealistic? One more great album, Stevie and Christine duets or even an album together, less drama. That they sing me "Angel". A little more blues. Generally a shift in sound back towards their roots (blues, hippie rock, folk/bluegrass/country, etc) and some earthier production.

When you became a fan: as a kid but not REALLY until about three weeks ago...
How you became a fan: Have known of them and some songs since childhood but recently, on a whim, bought The Dance DVD and promptly became obsessed by the time I reached the end of Silver Springs.
First 3 FM songs: I've known pretty much all the 'hits' as long as I can remember via the radio and a greatest hits CD my mum owns
First FM vocalist: no idea
Favorite FM Time Period: 1975 - 1982
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Vocally and lyrically, I've become attached to Stevie's songs most. Um, let's say: Stevie (45%), Lindsey (35%) and Christine (20%)
Concerts you've attended: none, unfortunately. lived vicariously through my mum attending a Sydney gig in '09 (her friend didn't think to buy me tickets as well, curse her...)
FM stuff you own: Fleetwood Mac, Rumours and Tusk on vinyl; The Dance and Destiny Rules on DVD and basically every downloadable bit of FM concert/interview footage I've been able to get my paws on...
Favorite thing about FM: gorgeous three part harmonies, the Stevie/Lindsey relationship and all that entails, alternatively forthright and ambiguous lyrics often about each other, Lindsey's guitar sound and talent, the fact that Mick, John, Stevie and Lindsey ar actually alive, reasonably fit and healthy and still touring.
Least favorite thing about FM: Sometimes it's endearing but sometimes the whole dramaqueen-ness of them, the gaps between albums, their inability to capitalise on opportunity, their terrible marketing/promotions on occasions, lack of new product (we want new songs, folks, screw the soul-sucking evilness of the Internet!)
Are you the same fan you were when you started: No. I've probably been a casual 'fan' since I was ten or so but my recent obsession and immersion is slightly different...
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: N/A
Your wish for the future of the Mac: New album and tour to support it (also a B/N album/tour kthnx), less over-production on any forthcoming songs, a better behind the scenes look at either a tour/making of album/etc than Destiny Rules - as much as I appreciate it -, more genuine, less rehearsed stage interaction, Christine to at least do SOME live gigs with the others, Lindsey and Stevie to buy some new clothes, Lindsey to lose the word 'cycles' from his vocabulary, honest autobiographies from Stevie and Lindsey, some form of Internet database/website for the band where membership actually gives you benefits aka behind scenes vids, old archive footage, access to unreleased songs, pictures, etc

When you became a fan: my parents were playing FM for me while i was in the womb, but i guess i became a fan when i saw them live when i was 8 :)
How you became a fan: i guess just by listening to the music...Say You Will was the very first CD i ever bought. and i was so proud of myself so i listened to it constantly. It was like my Rumours. It was unlike anything i had ever heard and i fell in love.
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, Don't Stop, Everywhere
First FM vocalist: Christine :o
Favorite FM Time Period: you're all gonna think i'm crazy...but i loved Tango so much.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: hm.......i think it's somewhere around: Stevie 42% Lindsey 30% Christine 20% Bob 5% David 3%
Concerts you've attended: Say You Will tour: 6/6/04 Unleashed tour: 3/21/09. Now i'm a broke kid trying to save for college and can't attend their new tour.
FM stuff you own: oh good lord...i own every album both digitally, in CDs, and on vinyl. I own shirts from tours i've been to, plus Mirage tour, i have every DVD that's been professionally put out, i own press kits, and i own about 10 posters, and numerous stuffed penguins, and of course i own all of Lindsey, Stevie and Christine's solo materials on CD and vinyl, and countless Stevie memorabilia.
Favorite thing about FM: the whole story behind them as a band, the romance between all of them, and really just the music. It is so unique and so amazing.
Least favorite thing about FM: THE FACT THAT THERE ISN'T A NEW ALBUM OUT YET
Are you the same fan you were when you started: Absolutely not. I was strictly about the music when i first started out, and now i've gotten into the drama behind it, i analyze song lyrics, i'm very involved now.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Well i hate to be that girl, but i would just really love if Christine returned. Then it would be perfect. no pun intended:p
Your wish for the future of the Mac: I would absolutely love for them to release a new album, and do a fans request tour. I think it would be great to finally hear our favorite songs, maybe ones that didn't chart, live.

FM stuff you own: Oh my god, what don't I own?! Every CD. Buckingham Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Rumours, and Tusk on vinyl. Posters and T-shirts from every concert I went to. A stuffed penguin. Mugs and keychains and stuff. Every DVD they released. Various autographs.
Favorite thing about FM: The fact that they're still out there doing their thing!
Least favorite thing about FM: That I never got to see Christine perform live!
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I love them just as much as always, but back in middle school when I first became a fan, FM was all I ever talked about. Now I'm a bit more of a well-rounded person.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The Rumours 5.
You wish for the future of the Mac: For Christine to come back in some capacity.

Age Range: early twenties
Gender: male
When you became a fan: At 18.
How you became a fan: that's the sort of story Stevie would love. I developed a major crush on a friend of my best friend. My very naive self thought that I could I get closer to her by sharing some of her musical tastes. I saw on Facebook that she liked Fleetwood Mac, so I promptly went on Youtube, typed Fleetwood Mac, Dreams was the first video on so I clicked on it. Then magic happened… I never got the girl but I don't regret having done that!
First 3 FM songs: Dreams, GYOW, YMLF
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: 1975 - 1987
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: more Stevie, Lindsey and Christine in equal proportions.
Concerts you've attended: none :(
FM stuff you own: Rumours line-up CDs and lots of downloads.
Favorite thing about FM: everything Stevie, the amazing harmonies, Lindsey finger-picking.
Least favorite thing about FM: on tour they play the same old songs over and over and over. The Dance, SYW and Unleashed share basically the same setlist, which is so stupid considering the wealth of great material they have.
Are you the same fan you were when you started: I've been a fan for just a year and a half so I have to wait and see.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Christine coming back.
Your wish for the future of the Mac: a new studio album and tour setlists with fewer hits.

Gender: male
When you became a fan: during 2012
How you became a fan: The Rumours episode of Glee made me interested in that particular album, afterwards I checked out The Dance and became slowly addicted to the other albums of the Rumours lineup
First 3 FM songs: the ones I loved from the beginning were Go Your Own Way, I Don't Want To Know, Second Hand News
First FM vocalist: Don't know if it was Lindsey or Stevie but probably the combination of both
Favorite FM Time Period: Rumours until Mirage
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 33% Stevie 33% Lindsey 33% Christine
Concerts you've attended: None yet but I've got a ticket for the show in Berlin this year
FM stuff you own: CDs: Rumours (2004 2disc edition and 2013 3disc edition), Tusk (2discs), Live, Mirage, Tango In The Night, The Chain (4discs), The Dance, Say You Will and I've just ordered the Say You Will and Peacekeeper singles on Ebay / DVDs: Tango In The Night, The Dance, Live in Boston / some other stuff that's not available officially anymore
Favorite thing about FM: the harmonies between the singers
Least favorite thing about FM: the ongoing drama between Stevie and Lindsey, Stevies attitude, Stevies "older" singing voice
Are you the same fan you were when you started: No, in the beginning I liked only certain songs on the albums but now I listen to most of them a lot
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Christine joining the band again... but I don't think that's a possibility, at least not on stage
Your wish for the future of the Mac: A new album of course, featuring Christine on some of the songs. They could to that without her having to join on tour... And they should definitely release expanded and remastered editions of their album from the 80s...

Least favorite thing about FM: Not possible.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Definitely.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Stevie, Lindsey, Christine, Mick, and John...

When you became a fan: Sometime in high school
How you became a fan: My dad's Greatest Hits CD
First 3 FM songs: Dreams, The Chain, and You Make Loving Fun (Obviously not the track order of the Greatest Hits album, but those are the first three songs that really struck me upon my first real listen to FM - apart from Dreams, which I always heard on the radio even as a kid. But, I'd have to say it was The Chain that really made me a FM fan as a teen.)
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: 75-82
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 50% Stevie, 30% Lindsey, 20% Christine (But those percentages only consider lead vocals for me; of course, I love their harmonies!)

Favorite thing about FM: The harmonies
Least favorite thing about FM: The absence of new music for 10 years...
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No, I've definitely grown in the range of my taste and interests since I was a young teen.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The fab five together again.

Age Range: mid-late 20s
Gender: Male
When you became a fan: 1998
How you became a fan: I was about 12-13 years old and I was at the time when I was raiding my dad's music collection. He had a cassette of Rumours (recorded from the record) and I loved it. The Dance was very recent at the time and I went out and bought that on cassette and got very familiar with it. That was really my introduction to FM.
First 3 FM songs: craaaappp....not sure so I'll just list what comes to mind. One from each Rumours era songwriter....Go Your Own Way, Sisters of the Moon, Think About Me
First FM vocalist: Lindsey Buckingham
Favorite FM Time Period: White album through Tusk first and Mirage through Tango (album, not tour) a step below.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: I'm not sure what this means
Concerts you've attended: one, 2004 in The Woodlands, TX. Wanted to go to MSG show this week, but the tickets prices were too steep. Hoping to catch one of the shows in the area sometime this tour if the ticket prices are any better.
FM stuff you own: I have FM, Rumours, Tusk, Mirage and Tango on cd. The Dance on cassette and dvd (was the first dvd I ever owned, in January 1999, when all I had was a dvd drive on my computer and didn't yet own a stand alone), Live in Boston dvd. Also LB solo albums Out of the Cradle, Under the Skin, Gift of Screws and Seeds We Sow. His concert Songs from the Small Machine on blu-ray. Christine Solo album In the Meantime.
Favorite thing about FM:The songs...the vocals and harmonies....the playing....everything.
Least favorite thing about FM: I don't know....don't focus on the negative. I don't like that Christine is no longer with them.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Sure, I suppose. I know more than I did when I was 13. I'm not more fanatical I don't think.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The Rumours era is good enough for me. They were magical.
Your wish for the future of the Mac:
I just want a new album....and for Christine to take part in said album.

When you became a fan: As long as I can remember.
How you became a fan: My mom's been obsessed with Stevie since she was 16 years old and raised me on FM and nothing else! :xoxo:
First 3 FM songs: Landslide was definitely the first I heard. My mother would sing it to me as a baby, too. Not sure what came next, probably like Dreams or GYOW or Rhiannon...
First FM vocalist: Stevie, always.
Favorite FM Time Period: 75 - 79. The vocals and production cannot be beaten.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 60% Stevie, 20% Linds, 20% Chris. Love them all but Stevie's my idol, and her music speaks to me on another level.
Concerts you've attended: 1 FM concert, 2 Stevie solo shows, and hopefully another FM concert on the 24th :D
FM stuff you own: Lots! Every Rumours line-up vinyl, (including every Stevie solo record from Bella Donna to Timespace, and Chris and Lindsey's solo records), a couple pre-Stevie/Linds FM records. Lots of Stevie t-shirts and FM t-shirts. A couple Stevie posters and framed pictures around my house. FM pins. Every album on CD as well (so I could put it on the ipod for gettin my Mac on, on-the-go ;) ) Also, I have more than 1 copy of FM, Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, Tango, Bella Donna, WH, RAL, and OSOTM, because I have the record sleeves framed and hung up in chronological order. For the albums that are post-vinyl (Street Angel, SYW, TISL, etc), I have poster flats framed (which are the album covers blown up to the same size as records). My mom has Stevie bumper stickers on her car too. And of course we have matching crescent moon necklaces, and my sister and I both have crescent moon tattoos on our ring fingers (thought Idk if that counts as stuff lol).
Favorite thing about FM: The lyrics, the vibes, the vocals, the talent, the drama.
Least favorite thing about FM: I like almost everything about the band. I miss Christine obviously. And some songs can definitely go bye-bye. Silver Girl and Paper Doll, i'm talking to you! :sorry:
Are you the same fan you were when you started: Probably.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: I just want Christine back! And maybe another Buckingham Nicks album. But hopefully those will actually happen one day.
You wish for the future of the Mac: New album. Improved vocals and production than SYW. Cooperation from Christine.

When you became a fan: 1997 - casual, but more obsessive just a couple of months ago with the tour and the fact that I'm going to an actual concert in June! Just basically rediscovering them again.....
How you became a fan: Mainly it was because of my mom. I was 11 years old when she bought The Dance DVD and my sister and I watched it. I remember being enamored by Lindsey and loving the energy they put into their songs.
First 3 FM songs: Go Your Own Way, The Chain, Bleed to Love Her - those were the ones I always looked forward to whenever playing The Dance DVD, and also My Little Demon and I'm So Afraid.
First FM vocalist: Lindsey
Favorite FM Time Period: The Dance, Rumours, Say You Will
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: N/A
Concerts you've attended: None...yet. Going to my first concert in June!
FM stuff you own: The Dance DVD/CD, LB Solo: Seeds We Sow CD, Bass Performance Hall DVD, Songs from the Small Machine Blu-ray, Soundstage LB, FM Live in Boston. My mom has vinyls of White Album, Rumours, Tusk, Mirage, and Stevie's Bella Donna, FM Live vinyl and also Bare Trees vinyl. She recently bought Tango in the Night on CD.
Favorite thing about FM: The fact that they've stayed together this long and all that they've been through.
Least favorite thing about FM: N/A
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Definitely not. I was a kid when I discovered them and didn't really have the appreciation for them that I do now. It's scary that I'm actually going to see them live since I don't go to concerts that often.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Christine.
You wish for the future of the Mac: Please make more music and just stay awesome.

I thought it might be a good idea for sorta a Ledgie Fleetwood Mac biography. Uh? What are you talking about?!?
Just answer the following questions about yourself...:)
Age Range: 40-ish
Gender: Female
When you became a fan: I remember liking them when I was a little kid, but I really fell in love during The Dance
How you became a fan: See above
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, YMLF, Dreams
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks
Favorite FM Time Period: Rumours, Tusk, Dance - can't choose just one.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 80% Stevie, 15% Christine, 5% Lindsey
Concerts you've attended: 3 SYW shows, 3 Unleashed shows
FM stuff you own: Tshirts, jacket, Huge Tower Records SYW cardboard promo poster, my Destiny Rules comic book I created for each band member (with a copy of my own signed by Stevie)
Favorite thing about FM: Amazing harmonies.
Least favorite thing about FM: Their inept and frustrating management. Also, Lindsey talking about "cycles".
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Yes
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: To have Christine back.
You wish for the future of the Mac: That this tour be their last go around since it seems LB and SN enjoy working on their solo stuff more.

When you became a fan: Only a couple of months ago after seeing lots of people on Tumblr posting about them
How you became a fan: Saw a lot of people on Tumblr posting lots of FM/Stevie, so I downloaded the Greatest Hits, fell in love with Gypsy, then got Rumours out of suggestions of friends. And the rest was history.
First 3 FM songs: Gypsy, Over My Head, Rhiannon
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: Bob Welch era, then Rumours era (including Christine, obviously)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Don't really want to break it down.
Concerts you've attended: Since they'll probably not come here, none and never. :(
FM stuff you own: I only have digital downloads since they're so ridiculously hard to find here, plus I have no working record player *sigh*
Favorite thing about FM: Solid rhythm section, amazing harmonies, and their ridiculous resiliency.
Least favorite thing about FM: Wish they would be more spontaneous and off-the-cuff on stage. And shake up the setlists.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Nope.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Since Christine is gonna reunite and the fab 5 would be complete (at least for a short while), I would love it even more if she joind full-time again. For the impossible, I would say the Rumours 5 + Bob Welch.
You wish for the future of the Mac: New album with Christine. Probably a one-off 3-day concert series in support of that album in the UK (so Chris wouldn't need to fly), then release those three complete, unedited concerts in one DVD set so we get to experience The Mac as they are even if we can't be there.

When you became a fan: Casual fan since childhood, die hard fan since last December.
How you became a fan: I grew up listening to classic rock stations, so originally through that. As a rabid fan- I was listening to the Shins on Pandora when Never Going Back Again came on. It took off from there, especially when I started watching old concerts on Youtube. In addition to realizing how awesome they were musically, I realized just how gorgeous Lindsey was. :D
First 3 FM songs: According to Itunes-Rhiannon, Don't Stop, and Go Your Own Way
First FM vocalist: Combo of Lindsey and Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: White album through Tusk, slightly less for Mirage
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 55% Lindsey, 25% Stevie, 20% Christine
Concerts you've attended: None, unfortunately. Hopefully this year!
FM stuff you own: Just songs
Favorite thing about FM: Combo of the music and just their whole history/story.
Least favorite thing about FM: Wish they wouldn't get older.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Nope, definitely more devoted.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Well, Christine is back, and the rest are all still there, so that's good enough for me!
You wish for the future of the Mac: Just keep playing and hopefully have some reasonably priced tickets for the next tour.

Favorite FM Time Period:Mystery to Me through Mirage
[B]Vocalist breakdown by percentage: example...40% Stevie, 40% Lindsey, 20% Christine
Concerts you've attended:Zero---- Hope that will change in the near future!
[B]FM stuff you own:Rumours on vinyl.
[B]Favorite thing about FM: The individuals! The huge rockstar hedonistic lifestyle. Above all, the wonderful songs which transcended all of that.
[B]Least favorite thing about FM: The "soft-rock" cliché nearly everyone has of them.
[B]Are you the same fan your where when you started: Awesome question and no. I see the "flaws" and the struggles the members have gone through, which forced me to take off the rose-colored glasses. And you know what I admire and respect them all even more. Dare I say "unconditional love."

When you became a fan: In 2004 when I was 13/14 years old
How you became a fan: One of my best friends from high school (who I had originally made friends with over our mutual love of the bands Nirvana and Soundgarden) had their best of album, I had heard a couple of their songs throughout my life and my Dad had mentioned them a few times to me before but my friend played me that album and I remember falling asleep at her house listening to "Little Lies" and "Dreams" and just falling in love.
First 3 FM songs: "Dreams", "Little Lies", "Big Love"
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks
Favorite FM Time Period: Of course Rumours but also the White album era because it was the beginning of something great, I also like the Peter Green era - "Man of the World" and "Green Manalishi" are masterpieces in my opinion
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: all equally, I like all their vocals for different reasons
Concerts you've attended: currently 0 (I live in NZ), I was too poor for their 2009 tour and it was too far from where I lived, I got tickets for their 2013 tour but they cancelled NZ because John got sick, I have tickets for their 2014 tour and will be going all the way to Vancouver to see them!!! third times a charm lol
FM stuff you own: Just a few albums, mostly "best of" ones
Favorite thing about FM: Great songwriting, beautiful harmonies and of course the drama lol also they're such a diverse band and their longevity as a band is absolutely commendable....to be selling out world tours 40 years after your first album (I mean the 'Rumours" FM lineup) is just downright impressive, you know you're something special when you're still relevant after 40 years
Least favorite thing about FM: that they charge so much for their tickets lol and that I never got to see them in their prime in the 70's as I was nowhere near being conceived yet lol
Are you the same fan your were when you started: nope, I keep discovering new songs and new things about the band members all the time
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: well I never thought the "classic" lineup of Chris, John, Mick, Stevie and Lindsey would ever happen again and they are my dream lineup so I am over the moon :)
Your wish for the future of the Mac: I wish that Lindsey and Stevie would play some Buckingham Nicks at a future concert, specifically "Frozen Love". I also wish they all remain fit and healthy for many more years to come....and also a new album might be cool :) and the impossible - if Peter Green was mentally all there then I would love to see him do a few guest appearances with them.

When you became a fan: 2003
How you became a fan: The oft-banned carrie721 and I traded music a lot, and pulled me into her burgeoning Fleetwood Mac obsession. I never looked back.
First 3 FM songs: Straight Back, Why, That's Alright
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: Rumours and Tusk, but The Dance is a close third.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: If it means what I think it means, I listen to songs where Stevie or Chris sing lead equally.
Concerts you've attended: Zero, but going to a show in October! I saw Lindsey on the Under The Skin tour, fourth row. I loved him, but he didn't love Hamilton. He's ~never going back again~
FM stuff you own: Most of the vinyl, missing only the Peter Green era, CDs/boxsets, Destiny Rules, The Dance, miscellaneous concerts on DVD, a stuffed penguin dressed like Mick that my friend made for my birthday, and soon, tickets.
Favorite thing about FM:The drama. From day one, through every incarnation, they've never been free from it.
Least favorite thing about FM: Their rigidity. Change your ****ing setlist!
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I was way more obsessed before.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Something that includes Danny Kirwan, but more in a time machine situation.

When you became a fan: Causal fan in 2002 and hardcore fan in 2004.
How you became a fan: I saw some of The Dance in 1997 and enjoyed some of the songs I heard. I kinda forgot about it. Then I heard "Silver Springs" again years later and got their name. It made me download some of their songs. I realized I had been hearing them my entire life. I bought "The Very Best of Fleetwood Mac" in 2004 and I have been a hardcore fan every since.
First 3 FM songs: If you mean the first 3 I loved, "Silver Springs," "Don't Stop" and "Rhiannon."
First FM vocalist: Stevie was the one I first heard and who made me a fan. I was a fan of her before the band.
Favorite FM Time Period: I enjoy all, but my favorite would be between 1971-1987. I loved the Bob Welch and the Rumours lineup eras the most.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: I love them all vocally, but Stevie is my favorite. So Stevie 50%, Christine 25% and Lindsey 25%.
Concerts you've attended: Sadly none, but that will change in November.
FM stuff you own: Just about all of their CDs, T-shirts, DVDs, etc.
Favorite thing about FM: How the band has survived all of its lineups and how amazing they are live and in the studio. Their demos and live shows really showcase how talented the band is and made me an even bigger fan.
Least favorite thing about FM: That the Rumours and the Say You Will lineups did not release more studio albums.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: My love for them has remained the same. They are my all time favorite band and have been for 10 years.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: My two favorite lineups combined... Mick, John, Danny K, Bob Welch, Christine, Stevie and Lindsey.
You wish for the future of the Mac: That they would put out 2 or 3 more albums before they decide to retire. I won't hold my breath, but a girl can dream.

First FM vocalist: Stevie ('77-82) Christine (mid '80s - 95) and now my favorite is Lindsey ('97-present)

Concerts you've attended: Tusk (Detroit), Mirage (Detroit), Live 2013 (Charlotte and LasVegas)
FM stuff you own: all of their albums
Favorite thing about FM: They create the music that I wish I could create. May sound strange but I knew that after I played Rumours for the first time that they'd be my number one band FOREVER. They can do no wrong in my book.
Least favorite thing about FM: They don't release enough full length concert dvds.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Well my crush on Stevie Nicks has dwindled to nothing. Other than that, yes.

When you became a fan: 2008 or so.
How you became a fan: I always knew the hits, just from general radio and whatever. But I saw them with my best friend in 2009, and it's all downhill from there!
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, GYOW and Say You Love Me.
First FM vocalist: Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: I like things about all of them. But of course I love the main 5 lineup.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: I listen to solo Lindsey WAY more than Stevie solo, like not even comparable. But it's kind of even when it comes to Fleetwood Mac between the three. Maybe more Lindsey, slightly less Stevie, then Christine.
Concerts you've attended: Kansas City 2009. Then Kansas City again, Tulsa, Anaheim, Chicago, Des Moines and Vegas in 2013.
FM stuff you own: Oh Christ. Too much to list. There was a thread before where I listed all the sht I own.
Favorite thing about FM: Their stories, and the way their music makes me feel.
Least favorite thing about FM: The fcking ticket prices this year! God.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Ha. Nope! Love them forever. But I am currently mad at them.
You wish for the future of the Mac: LOWER YOUR TICKET PRICES DAMN IT! Ill come back and edit my post when I calm down haha. Well, maybe I won't. The prices aren't about to change.

^^ I'm still excited about seeing them in October, but those ****ing prices. I knew Christine's return would ramp up the asking price, but it kind of ruins the the treat that this tour really should be.

You wish for the future of the Mac: The five fireflies until the end
FM only from now on? i hope not!
what annoys me the most about them?
never changing setlists. no flexibility, complete setlist conservatism.
talking about the love between them, but there seems to be just business, and a really badly ran one. no new album for 10+ years.
Trent Reznor was explaining recently about why will this year's NIN tour have a very different setup and setlist from the last year's and why he needs that change. how he wants the group as performers on stage to be excited, on the edge, and challenged too. that having the same setlist for too long leads to boredom and laziness. how FM peeps are not bored with practically the same setlist since Rumours first came out is beyond me. and if they are bored, why they don't really change it.

Gender: i'm a chick
When you became a fan: 1997
How you became a fan: was writing a letter to a friend & randomly flipped on VH1 airing The Dance. no clue who they were, i pretty much only listened to punk when i was younger.
i think i wrote something like, 'there is some band called fleetwood mac on tv. this "brianna" song is actually pretty cool'
First 3 FM songs: lol- "brianna"/rhiannon & i suppose whatever the next two songs were in the setlist
First FM vocalist: all three
Favorite FM Time Period: pretty much anything m/j/c/l/s. if we're talking sound of the band, then Tusk
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 18% Stevie, 42% Lindsey, 40% Christine (those L/C harmonies are like crack for the auditory cortex)
Concerts you've attended: the dance, multiple solo shows of lindsey's
FM stuff you own: various vinyls & CDs. i have an Under the Skin shirt... somewhere
Favorite thing about FM: you can take away the vocals & still feel what the song is about. hearing something new in a song you've heard a hundred thousand times.
Least favorite thing about FM: nobody talks about john & john seems the chillest member in the band! *sigh* bass players get no glory :(
Are you the same fan your where when you started: no
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: m/j/c/l/s with crista on lead washboard

When you became a fan: 1987 - when Tango came out
How you became a fan: I was 7. And I kept hearing on the radio/seeing on MTV: Little Lies, Everywhere, and Seven Wonders, and those songs changed my life. My mom finally let me buy the Tango cassette after I knew I loved at least those 3 songs from the album (to make the purchase worthwhile)... It was my prized possession.
First 3 FM songs: Little Lies, Everywhere, Seven Wonders
First FM vocalist: Stevie/Christine (I can't remember which of those three songs I literally heard first - I remember loving them all at the same time). (I do remember thinking Lindsey was a female for awhile because of his higher voice and his name! HAHA! Family Man totally confused me - I thought he was a she in my 7 year old brain)
Favorite FM Time Period: '75 through Tusk, Mirage/TITN (all of these! I totally obsessed over the rest of the Rumours lineup albums while I was in college to add to my Tango love)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 35% Stevie, 35% Lindsey, 30% Christine
Concerts you've attended: 0! This tour is on my bucket list, especially now that Christine is back.
FM stuff you own: My prized Tango casette; most Rumours lineup albums on CD, all Rumours lineup albums on vinyl, some pre-Rumours on vinyl... (none of the greatest hits or The Dance - I never got into The Dance for some reason!); Carol Ann Harris' book Storms, Mick Fleetwood's book
Favorite thing about FM: Catchy, amazing music with incredible harmonizing vocals by talented and interesting musicians, and the most fascinating dramatic personal stories to supplement the music that you could ever ask for. Not to mention a boatload of wonderful nostalgia from my childhood that is priceless and hard to replicate.
Least favorite thing about FM: I've never seen them live... but as a huge live music fan, the inflexible setlists is disappointing. I love when artists mix it up each night.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No- I was a 7 year old girl discovering the magical world of music in 1987. My perspective is so different now after learning so much more about their personal stories connected to the music... makes me connect to the music in more mature ways, etc... plus life and experiences grant perspective :)
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: the current lineup!
You wish for the future of the Mac: If they haven't already, I hope they all find personal peace and happiness for the rest of their lives.

When you became a fan: 1977-Rumours was my first album at 13 yrs old.
How you became a fan: Rumours was all over the airwaves. I spent my summers at the lake as a kid. During the summer of 1978, we would put it on the stereo in the cottage, aim the speakers out the screen windows, and then dance in the hot sun on the dock, on the rocks, in the water and in the boat. Heaven....sigh.
First 3 FM songs: Go Your Own Way, Storms, Peacekeeper
First FM vocalist: All 3, with a leaning towards Lindsey/Stevie
Favorite FM Time Period: classic line up, although I enjoy the whole thing.
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 1/3 each
Concerts you've attended: 4 of FM, 1 of Stevie solo, and 1 of Lindsey solo (his was amazing!!)
FM stuff you own:
Fleetwood Mac-white album
Rumours
Tango
Mirage
Behind the Mask
Say You Will
The Dance (video and CD)
Live in Boston DVD
Making Rumours Classic Albums DVD
Destiny Rules DVD
Stevie-Soundstage DVD
Lindsey-Sounstage DVD
Lindsey-Live at Bassey DVD
Stevie's commentating on videos for all the videos that she did this for.
Buckingham Nicks-on CD that a fellow I met in South Africa last month burned for me from his recently rec'd vinyl copy from a friend in Poland (so good)
Lindsey and Stevie's collection of solo albums.
Lindsey Buckingham guitar pick (yes, he had them at his concert. It has a LB insignia on one side and a picture of a pick with a red circle and line through it on the other!!)
Brett Tuggle guitar pick
Neil Hayward guitar pick
Carol Ann Harris' book Storms
Mick Fleetwood's book (signed from our meet and greet)
Mick Fleetwood signed drum sticks from the meet and greet-my husbands drum sticks, not Mick's
ALL my concert stubs
Lindsey's set list from his Seeds We Sow Tour and from the last Fleetwood Mac tour.
Stevie's set list from her solo tour, In Your Dreams
T-shirt from the last tour with Go Your Own Way on it
black sweatshirt from the last tour
Stevie T-shirt from the In Your Dreams Tour
Lindsey T-shirt from the Seeds We Sow Tour
Ken Callait's book with the email from him answering a question I asked him (and he responded in about 20 mins.);
other misc. books.
Favorite thing about FM: romantic love stories, and the fact that all the music represents different times in my life and reminds me of those times.
Least favorite thing about FM: that Stevie and Lindsey don't get back together, at least that i can see.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Essentially yes, I love them for all the same reasons I did initially, just added on lot's more reasons since being an adult.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: it will now!!
You wish for the future of the Mac: That they live to be 150 years old.

I don't think that's an unreasonable wish. With Chris coming back, everyone will be inspired again and the set list will be different and more like the classic Fleetwood Mac that most fans grew up with.

Age Range: 40 very soon
Gender: male
When you became a fan: 1987
How you became a fan: Listening to Tango In The Night over and over again in my parents' car. I secretly started listening to the vinyl copy whenever my parents went out- 10 times a day (whilst studying the picture on the back cover and trying to work out who is who). Then started collecting cassettes of each album one by one.
First 3 FM songs: All TITN
First FM vocalist: Christine, Stevie, Lindsey
Favorite FM Time Period: '75 through Tusk, Mirage/TITN, (Welch/Christine second)
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: example...40% Christine, 30% Lindsey, 30% Stevie
Concerts you've attended: 03, 09, 13
FM stuff you own: Just about everything available on CD;
including 'Studio 99 Perform Fleetwood Mac'
excluding a couple of the many blues era compilations
Favorite thing about FM: The sheer variety. The overall feel of the music.
Least favorite thing about FM: They ruined my youth; Everyone else my age moved through the likes of The Smiths, The Stone Roses, Britpop, Grunge, Drum & Bass etc but there I was throughout my formative years trying to convince my peers of the merits of Honey Hi. It wasn't cool being a FM fan back then.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: In some ways yes.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Mick, John, Christine, Peter, Jeremy, Lindsey, Rick live at Glastonbury (sorry Billy).
You wish for the future of the Mac: Tour. New album Vol 1. Tour. New album Vol 2. Glastonbury festival. New comprehensive box set. New album. Grammy. End safe and well on a high.

I will post my profile later but I just had to say that after skimming through a few of the pages of this thread, I was absolutely fascinated by the idea that many of the people who post here did not grow up hearing their songs on the radio. I knew people here were in their 20's and 30's, but somehow I didn't make the connection. That idea just fascinates me but I'm so glad that you young ins who came to FM in so many different ways made it here :) Awesome.

This is a cool thread!
Age Range: Thirty... (cough, cough)
Gender: Male
When you became a fan: I guess I've been a fan all my life. I can't remember a time when there WASN'T a Fleetwood Mac song being played somewhere that I didn't enjoy. :)
How you became a fan: Fell in love with Stevie's voice at 4 years old listening to "Whenever I Call You Friend" and just wanted to know everything about her solo projects and with Fleetwood Mac. I think "Say You Love Me" was the first jam I got into from FM that made me a fan of the band alone.
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, Say You Love Me, Gypsy
First FM vocalist: The vocalists from the Rumours era. Don't make me pick one. That would be too hard.
Favorite FM Time Period: '75 through '82
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: I don't like this question. I like all three of them for very different reasons. I can't honestly say that, within the band, I like one more than the other.
Concerts you've attended: Say You Will, Unleashed
FM stuff you own: I could type paragraphs but I'll spare everyone.
Favorite thing about FM: Three very different sounds, styles, and personas that seem to work extremely well together when mixed. Oh yeah, and the DRAMA...
Least favorite thing about FM: The lack of output from the last 20 years.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: No. I'm probably less of a fan now. Still love them, though...but see my answer to the previous question.
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: Mick, John, Lindsey, Christine, Stevie, Peter Green, and Danny Kirwan. (sigh)
You wish for the future of the Mac: I don't care how many more studio albums are released, just make them GREAT! Also...ticket prices. Are you kidding me? Your CORE fans aren't rich, you guys!!!
Age Range: almost 30
Gender: male
When you became a fan: 1997
How you became a fan: listening to "I Can't Wait" off of Dad's Stevie Nicks greatest hits, he told me I should check out FM if I liked the tape
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, Second Hand News, Go Your Own Way (first three I remember getting into); Second Hand News, Go Your Own Way, Silver Springs (favorite three)
First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks brought me to the band. I'm a huge Lindsey fan now.
Favorite FM Time Period: Fleetwood Mac through Tango in the Night
Vocalist breakdown by percentage: 60% Lindsey, 25% Stevie, 15% Christine (love them all, though)
Concerts you've attended: '03, '13
FM stuff you own: All of the albums in one format or another, concert T-shirt from the '13 tour, The Dance, Tango in the Night and Live in Boston DVDs
Favorite thing about FM: Unique sound & Lindsey's guitar playing
Least favorite thing about FM: A consistent lack of new music
Are you the same fan your where when you started: Pretty much, although I favor Lindsey now much more than previously, as I came to the band mainly due to Stevie
Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The lineup going on tour this fall
You wish for the future of the Mac: At least one more album and a tour that I could actually afford to go see

Nope, not where I was coming from on that, at all.
Just being factual; and, just being proactive...you KNOW that there'd probably be a poll on whether the guys here are straight, gay or bi eventually...just documenting that now to save time later.
There should be a poll! Haha! That would be way more interesting then some of the others. Someone get that done

FM stuff you own: Countless vinyl albums, 45 singles, 12 inch singles, cassettes, rare posters, tour programs, magazines, books, CDs, CD singles, DVDs, Video tapes, bootleg vinyl/CDs
Favorite thing about FM: Their uniquely diverse history, both musically and personally
Least favorite thing about FM: Their album output should have been more prolific, and their set lists are too safe and predictable.

Age: 27
Gender: A fu**ing stud! A gay one living in very much a straight mans world (military, body building)
When I became a fan: 1997/1998
How: family trips. I remember Christine saying in 1997 interview that it would be great if young kids picked up on parents music. My mom said, boy that's happening! Haha. I love classic rock and the Mac women more then equal the men they are vastly out numbered by.
1st 3 Mac songs: from the dance, Rhiannon, say you love me, silver springs. But the whole cd really. Then came the DVD and I was hooked.
1st vocalist: Stevie. 2nd: Christine
Vocal %: 50% Stevie, 30% Christine, 10% Lindsey (but he should get bonus points from great co production until 1987. I think he has run out of steam now) 10% the rest of the past members that I have recently branched out into.
Stuff I own: all CDs officially released by the Mac from the time Christine joined to SYW. All of Stevie cd, DVDs. 2 Christine cd, a few bootleg DVD and cd. Concert shirts. I really need to check out Lindsey's early solo work. One of these days I will.
Concerts I've seen: 10 Stevie solo, 5 Mac shows. All starting with the Enchanted tour
Favorite thing: the music and the diversity of it. I love groups with multiple singer song writers. Stevie's stage presence and persona. She is sultry, keeps you watching her even though her eyes never look at the camera. but I must agree with that old expression about how the parts don't equal the whole thing together.
Least favorite: Stevie bashing! Come on now, the rest of them would have long retired if it wasn't for her keeping the machine going. Luckily she is smart and kept both careers going to her advantage. So you can eat her **ssy. I'm probably the Stevie fan a few of you hate! Haha
Still the same fan: pretty much
Dream line up: the one that's about to happen! Welcome back Christine! You were missed!
Wish for their future: they keep rocking till they die, at 150 years old.

When you became a fan: End of last year
How you became a fan: Before last year, I'd heard of Fleetwood Mac maybe once, but had never heard any of their songs, or heard of any of the individual band members. So my real introduction to Fleetwood Mac was through the last season of American Horror Story. I immediately connected to Misty Day's character, and Misty loved Stevie- so all of a sudden I had this wonderful new world of people and music opened up to me because of that show.
First 3 FM songs: Rhiannon, Landslide, Dreams
Favorite FM Time Period: 75-79
Concerts you've attended: None, but if FM come to New Zealand next year (which I've heard is pretty likely) I'm hoping to be able to see them.
FM stuff you own: All the albums in one form or another, heaps of videos, documentaries, demos and live audio on my laptop, and the Classic Albums documentary for Rumours on DVD.
Favorite thing about FM: The diversity of it all. The people are diverse, the music is diverse, and they all have their own styles of performance. And the drama, which fascinates me. The level of drama that happened (and still happens to some extent?) between that band could rival that which goes on in groups of overprivileged, hormonal, shrieking, 14-year-old girls.
Least favorite thing about FM: If I want to go and see them when/if they come to my country, I'm probably going to have to sell a kidney on the black market in order to get enough money for my ticket.
Are you the same fan your where when you started: I don't think I've been a fan long enough to answer this :)
You wish for the future of the Mac: Start performing Crystal instead of Dreams, get honest opinions on what works and what doesn't in relation to the new album (I feel like with some of Stevie's solo work, there are bits that could've been improved with more honesty from the people around her), and do a live DVD.

Your from New Zealand? Cool! Stevie goes there a lot, more then your mother country of Britain. Lol. She tries to take the Mac there too. I've always wanted to go to NZ. I will make it there one day, the UK too. History is what I got my degree in. I also love learning about the white settler colonies and why they have and still stay loyal to the crown. Maybe Stevie makes the white colonies happy? Yea she does but that's a long stretch
But see!?!?!? Stevie brings younger folk like me to the Mac fandom. She keeps the band relevant and going. So may the whole ledge community bless the legend of Stevie, the memory that will remain long after the legend dies. Elton will have to revise that song again.
