I was just watching Stevie and Lindsay on his Soundstage and enjoying NGBA and at the end before they started SG, Stevie started singing Frozen Love, just a couple of lines and then she said that's all I remember and Lindsay says those were really good harmonies we did though and gives her a knowing look.... so I got this idea

wouldn't it be wild if Stevie and Lindsay did Frozen Love for her new album. It'd be rockin' , from the vault and something that she would be really excited for us to hear.

Any thoughts, opinions, speculations..... anyone.... anybody???

I think there has been some speculation that the track he was in the studio to sing on recently was Frozen Love. May well be true...
I just love their harmonies in general--I'll love any collaboration with harmonies.

Awh that was awesome. Stevie looks right happy when she starts to sing it, it would be just so cool if they re-released it! I would love to hear a full vocal of Stevie's on it in this day and age.

I can't help it, I always grin from ear to ear when I watch that part. A 21st century version of Frozen Love would rock my socks... but I can't see it happening, at least not for this particular project. Lindsey was only in the studio for an afternoon from what we've heard. I'd have to think Stevie would have him more involved if he were to be a part of a remake of this song. Stranger things have happened though (Crystal, Crystal, and Crystal ). But to me, I view this as Buckingham Nick's pre-eminent song... and I'd just have to imagine it would only be rerecorded for a more equally involved full circle type of project.

Either of them doing anything with the Buckingham Nicks record would be such a treat for their hardcore following. I really think it's possible to give back to your hardcore fans without alienating your casual fans -- in Elton John's shows with Ray Cooper, they played at least two-thirds of a set full of "obscure" songs, but Elton made it work for everyone in the audience because his enthusiasm for his songs was obvious. They could definitely do something with BN and I'd love to see them give that kind of nod to us. :)

Oh Stevie, you're such a tease.

Them redoing Frozen Love now would be awesome. Sort of like, a beginning song and an ending song. Or something significant like that.

Stevie and Lindsey should go on tour as Buckingham Nicks. They could do the whole album, outtakes, etc. It should all be acoustic. Just Lindsey And Stevie playing guitar!

That was sweet! I love how the crowd went wild when she sang the first line. I know it's wishful thinking, but I'd love to see Buckingham Nicks get a proper reissue then they go on tour in smaller theaters, play the entire album, and tell stories behind the songs as they perform

I still find it odd that this is the only song the two of them co-wrote. My hopes for further collaborations on SYW were very high and I still feel a little disappointed. I know that Lindsey's productions are important for Stevie's FM songs, which is also a form of collaboration, but I wish the two of them would sit down and write together. After all, they both have written songs with so many other people (Dashut, Campell...), even within FM (Lindsey with Christine, Stevie with Rick).

YES.

As much as I would love anything BN related ... I would prefer the above....with BN being re-released in some wonderful packaging...

I agree with all the other awesome people's thinking....I would love if Stevie put Frozen Love on her new album...oh but even more I would love hearing the two of them singing it live.

And is it just me or does Stevie give Linds a downright naughty look right before she starting singing the FL teaser? Shipper shipper shipper.

I think it's always been hard for them to write something together because they write so differently--not only the outcomes are different but the processes are, too. Stevie writes the words, & everything emanates from them. Lindsey says he writes music first, & even that can be the sort of procedure that doesn't make room for another person; he throws something on "tape" & then removes it & throws something else on & then might remove that, turning dials & pushing buttons all the while, & he continues that way until a track is crafted. Stevie Nicks -- or anyone else intimately connected with that process -- would be bored stiff. Can you imagine her sitting in a studio chair for three months while Lindsey adds & removes smidges of sonic color to his "canvas"?

Good point. That reminds me of her comment about feeling like a hostage in Iran during the recording of Tusk. Does anybody have the exact quote?

Something like this: "It was very hard on us, like being a hostage in Iran, and to an extent, Lindsey was the Ayatollah."

Just between the 4,142 of us, I told Stevie that beyond her amazing new album, she also needs to re-release "Buckingham Nicks." She agrees.

I love that idea...especially since Fleetwood Mac is essentially the Buckingham Nicks show now, with John and Mick as support players. Maybe before they are all in nursing homes they will re-release the album and tour behind it.

See, I can't see them ever doing a Buckingham Nicks tour. I don't think Stevie and Lindsey love touring together, so the primary motivator behind any tour would be monetary. And a tour labeled "Buckingham Nicks" would make a small fraction of what a FM tour could.
Nor can I particularly see them adding in BN songs to the FM set list (should FM tour again). They often talk about how the audience doesn't respond well to music they aren't familiar with, and casual fans aren't acquainted with BN.

...I hope I'm wrong.

They trotted out "Don't Let Me Down Again" for one freaking show in 2004 and then, according to Taku, Lindsey decided the audience wasn't responsive enough and it was dropped.

Let's just say Im' not holding my breath for a BN tour. Besides, Fleetwood Mac is essentially Buckingham Nicks now anyway.

They have both mentioned wanting to release it, but it seems they never get around to it. I think they will some day, but it will have to be some new package. I still think it should be a double disc, one of the original BuckinghamNicks, and the second of new versions of some of the original songs and of some demos they had written for BN2. Or they should do a soundstage concert to coincide with it. And a tour for it wouldn't be too unrealistic. Stevie Nicks tours by herself quite often and draws quite a crowd and Lindsey has no problem with tours of his own. I think a strictly BuckinghamNicks setlist would not attractive itself, but they apparently have no problem touring without anything to promote. So what I say they should do it this: Create an amazing BuckinghamNicks package and release it. Then to promote it, they should do a BuckinghamNicks tour of sorts, except it should be designed the way the Two Voices tour was set up. Lindsey opens and plays his solo music, but Stevie comes out and joins him on some BN songs, such as Don't Let Me Down Again, Without You, Frozen Love. Then Stevie comes out and does her solo show, but Lindsey joins her for some more BN songs, such as Crystal, Long Distance Winner, Crying In The Night, and I say they also do That's Alright :). I think this would be most sensical way to do this. Of course they would reach more people if they did it on tour with Fleetwood Mac, but I would feel like it would be somewhat disingenuous to do so. BuckinghamNicks was just that, Stevie and Lindsey... Fleetwood Mac should not be promoting it. Also, when you go to see Fleetwood Mac, you want to hear FLEETWOOD MAC songs. I think fans going to a solo concert would be more accepting of the BN songs.

True, but it's not the same unless they do the BN songs.

Time will tell, but they sure do keep the option open...

It's obviously something they've considered. Lindsey himself said this:

"That could certainly happen, that would be fun,"..."Do we have enough material? Yes, we do. It would be its own hook, the two of us up there, it would be this complete circular thing, bringing us back to where we were in 1974, which has a poetry all its own.

pardon my language but i will FKN DIIIIIIIIIIIIIE
this was my first thought when Dave tweeted about he, Stevie & Bucky being in the studio the other month
everyone immediately assumed they were re recording Frozen Love
that's fine with me
over any of their songs i would buy the record JUST to hear that
of course i'd ultimately prefer a BRAND NEW collab
but this would be just as ... if not even better :xoxo:
