I was going through my old Stevie Demos and forgot how wonderful and amazing this track is!! Really raw and powerful, and lyrically fantastic. This would be a great song for Stevie to perform life with the piano only!

So I thought I would upload it to Youtube for everyone who hasn't heard it because I love this song and I'm sure lots of other people do to!

I've always thought she'd do a great piano version of this live with her current voice.

This is beautiful, I love it! Is she playing the piano? It sounds very fluid.

Is this the same recording that was on 'Uncirculated Rumours', cleaned up?
I'll always remember that one, with the hissing, pops and crackles of an LP on my old stereo, it added a dimension of dark creepiness to it. I had imagined it was recorded in the early 70's or so. I never knew exactly when that demo was recorded, maybe closer to 1980 instead?

I just got it off some Bella Donna Demo compilation ages ago. I edited it on garage band to clean it up a little alsooo

I have listened to this OBSESSIVELY since about two years ago.

I love the sheer emotion of the demo. I just wish the lyrics from the album were all included.

One of my favorite lines of the song: "If not at least within the touch of my fingers,
close to being in heaven"
