Hi there - I apologize (this is my first post on The Ledge) ... but couldn't help but share this very special piece of Stevie memorabilia that I am parting with.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150522187358&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT
Here is the description from eBay :
"Stevie Nicks Signed/Autographed AUTHENTIC Tambourine - from the 2001 Reprise Records' "Trouble In Shangri-La" album contest. Included is the original dated and watermarked Reprise contest prize letter. A rare treasure, from a living legend - perfect for an unforgettable holiday gift.
You are bidding on the Stevie Nicks signed Tambourine only. The tambourine measures 10", and is in NM (brand new) condition. Tambourine made by: REMO / PTS. Never used, kept in contest shipment box."
- I hope that it finds a special home this holiday season. ~ JC.

HOLY CRAP. It's expensive. If I had the money, it would be mine.

Very nice! But, realistically you might get $200-300 for it.

I just don't understand how anybody would pay any sort of premium for an autographed item unless they saw the particular celeb sign the item right in front of them. And to me, the autograph is only worth sentimental value... if you were there to experience it. To each their own, though.

i would never pay for an autographed/signed item. if i cant get it on my own, i dont want it. even if i did ever meet Stevie, i dont think id ask for one. maybe a picture together, but why do i need her signature on something? its never made sense to me.

I won a signed Stevie Nicks tambourine from Reprise back in 2001 when Trouble In Shangri-la came out. Hmm I might have to think of selling it -ha! It also came with an autographed booklet as well. I didnt realize stuff signed by her went for that much - geesh!!
The best part about winning that was it came the same day that I was going to see her in concert. It totally made my night!

Yeah(I saw it on eaby), it is nice but the price is way too high. I'd say 'years' ago when Stevie stuff was like hot you may get a higher price but not these days. I'd love it myself but with bugets very tight now a days to me unless I can get something for a steal of a price I'd pass on it.....If you don't need the $$ right now I'd just wait. Your lucky to have won something like that......pretty cool. Stevie probably won't do anything like that for the 'new' cd if and when it does come out. Than yet who knows maybe she'll surprise us all.....I guess only time will tell. IMO Stevie stuff just isn't selling at higher prices like it used to. Prices have really went down I'd say in the last 3-5 yrs. Its surprising but its what it is.....anyone else agree??

Prices on all collectible things have gone down the past few years. For instance, I have owned 2 DeLorean cars... their values have gone down almost 50% since the recession started.
It's more complex than that for Stevie and Fleetwood Mac things, though. Back in the late '90s and very early '00s, Stevie and Fleetwood Mac were hot commodities. Since then, they've totally blown their forward momentum by not recording new material or staying connected with their core fans... and thus their paraphernalia prices have tanked.
To me, I'd just never pay for an autographed item unless I saw it autographed with my very eyes. Autographed items are just too easy to fake... and so are "certificates of authenticity."

Plus theres just nothing exciting on ebay anymore ....not sure about other sites? There used to be such cool rare stuff up and now nothing much even with the Holidays coming.....even if I didn't bid I used to just love to look through all the listings. Its a shame both Mac and Stevie didn't capitalize when they could.....guess I should've gotten rid of some of my stuff when I had the chance now its not worth nothing I guess....bummer really.....plus all the rest of us that collect here......

I think Ebay has as much to do with the falling prices of their merchandise
as their "blown forward momentum". The first years of Ebay were good to
most of us sellers and buyers. Ebay was a lot of fun the first few years, but it
made it so easy for us to buy anything and everything Mac related that the
prices plummeted. Not just for the Mac btw.

HA! They don't sell for that much. ;)
That's cool... I had no idea there was a contest during TISL. I had just joined up on here as well... I must've missed that during those days.
I did win the Reprise contest during SYW and got a signed 12x24 flat of the SYW cover! If i'm not mistaken I think another Ledgie won a similar prize.

Still... methinks that was a bunch of bid-crazies, though. ;)
Wow!! I looked up the ad before scrolling down and thought maybe $100-$200, but $725, Damn!! Well, at least shipping was "free". :)
Grats on your sale though.

Don't we all. I agree that I would only have signed merchandise if I'd seen it be signed directly in front of me.

Admittedly, I have bought 2 Debbie Harry items that are signed. I also only payed £5 each for them

Well a fiver isn't so bad! Nearing a grand is bordering on the ridiculous. I can just see the seller right now giggling while he sits under a lamp painstakingly signing another tambourine to sell.

Speaking of. My Stevie autograph is pretty damn good.
Anyone interested in her first 4 albums on vinyl, signed? I can photoshop a picture of Stevie signing it, if you'd like
Make it her first 4 CD's and you may have a deal. ;) Of course the photoshopped pic will be necessary to convice my buddies it's legit.

Nothing for the records, just postage? I'll get them weighed tomorrow and work out how much it'll be. They're just taking up space that I'm currently needing for ABBA :)

Abba? Oh dear.....*Shakes head in dismay* If you ever come across any Lindsey B. albums, signed or not, give me a bell! I can't find them in any Vinyl Fairs I go to. It's seriously driving me barmy.

Hehe. Well you can keep them. I once went through an Abba phase myself but I got over it. Too cheesy for my taste. But you're in great company because Stephen Fry is a closet fan too! Them and Led Zeppelin, surprisingly. Oh what I would give to see that man headbang to The Lemon Song.

Wow, aren't you cute? The tambourine is legit. Educate yourself and check out some auction sites to see how much Stevie Nicks memorabilia can go for... it might surprise you.
Not surprising to see that some folks on here are as pissy as they've always been...

Not surprising to see that some folks on here are as pissy as they've always been...It may very well be a legit item...and it does appear to be her sig.....cause I have some auto's of hers as well it they look similar to yours. I still think it was way over priced. Maybe at 'one' time I'd try to get something very pricey Stevie/Mac wise but not so much more now. Too me unless I can get it cheaper....less pricey thats what I'm looking for. Like a year or so ago I won a Wild Heart 3-D tour card (the red one/the harder one--not sold on the tour) and I won it for 95.00(great price to me) which they would go say 5 yrs ago 800-1000 (besides the rarer outtake 3-D's too) but not all went that high.....Anyway, I think it does depend on the item itself and how badly someone wants it. I just can't spend that kinda $$ for something like that now. I'd say they have more $$ than sense really but well....I've spent $$ on things in the past that I probably shouldn't have.....anyway, its a personal choice....and theres nothing wrong with it.......if it makes you happy.....go for it. As far as the 'pissy' comment goes......I feel we all have a 'right' to our opinions here whether we agree to disagree. I don't feel Stevie/Mac is the end all be all.....like I probably did at the start of my fandom......there people just like us.....there just more famous than we are and have more $$.......but it doesn't mean they are better than us.....they have problems like we do......it is what it is........IMO anyway........
