I am curious on how many from the board are planning on Seeing Stevie's Concert Tour next Summer? I want to say my Foxwoods Show was my last show, I just can't spend the money anymore on concerts so my concert days are over for now. I will be buying her new cd but won't be able to go to the concert. I had a wonderful time at The Foxwoods show in Aug. it was awesome.

If she comes to the UK, I'll go see her. If not I can't. I just don't have the money (or the inclination) to fly over to America D:

IF the new material is good...and after i read a review or 2..IF she switches the 30+ year old setlist up...MAYBEEEeeee i will go...the lasttime isaw her and she was "good" was 1998 "Enchanted" tour...she played alot of stuff she had not played b4..."after the glitter fades," "garbo," "twisted," not to mention a few others...i kno "dreams" was their only #1 hit and she should b very proud of that song...but i can no longer take it live unless it is cancelled out by a fresher, not often heard song..PLEASE STEVIE...REVIEW THAT ANCIENT SET LIST

I probably wount see her, like jrpjr, i don't think the set list is great. but maybe lets see. If someone goes and says it was awsome then maybe i'll let myself be convinced and i'll go see it. but if the feedback isn't all that great then i woun't. Don't have enough money to go watch a bad show. sorry.

At this point I'm going to say probably not for quite a few reasons:
1) Money. This is the biggest one.
2) She never comes to Austin... and I really don't like going into Houston or Dallas.
3) I'm chiefly a Fleetwood Mac fan, and Stevie focuses too much on her solo career for my tastes during her solo shows (yes, I know that's because it's her solo career).
4) Stevie's voice has been deteriorating for so long... it's just hard to stomach live these days. Especially since she doesn't really move around much on the stage anymore either, there's not much of a reason for me to go.
5) It sounds like she's going to perform relatively little of her new album. I'm just so sick of Rhiannon, Edge, and Dreams. :(
There are some factors which could change my mind, tho and I think they'd have to be in tandem:
1) Most importantly... if I come into some money.
2) If Stevie's new album is fantastic, and reviews of her first few shows are off the charts.
3) If Stevie thoroughly mixes up her setlist, including the addition of several songs from the new album.

I have to agree with most of your reasons for not going but I'm going regardless. No going to see Stevie live when she's within a reasonable distance from me just feels wrong. I donno why, I just feel like I should be there. I will admit though that because of her deteriorating voice and just overall lack of passion (my opinion guys- that's all) I sometimes find myself covering my eyes and being kind of nervous for her when she's performing. Last year at the New Orleans show I could tell she was struggling and I didn't like it one bit. I think the biggest reason I will go see her and go see FM the following year would be because it may be the last tours....so I better go.

I definitely want to! Probably mean another 6 hour drive to 'Casino-Rama' in Ontario (where Stevie usually plays when she's in Canada).
It's about time we get to hear some new material on stage, plus get to see/buy some new merch at the booths.

I don't see her making it for a UK audience too. But if she ever did, I'd be down at the box office buying tickets in a heartbeat. No questions asked. I've only ever seen one Mac show and none of them individually so even if it was the same old, I'd still enjoy the hell out of it for the experience alone.

Hmmm...The excitement of a brand new record & possible documentary screenings at art house theaters a week before her tour dates w. Dave Stewart as opening act, it's a no brainer for me... Of course I will go!
Plus if you add in the fact that this may be the last big solo tour. It wouldn't feel right to miss it. I don't think Stevie would ever bill it as her last tour, But I suspect aside from FM's obligatory farewell tour in 2012 or so, Stevie will only tour sporadically afterwards before retiring from the road outright in the next 4-5 yrs.

I haven't decided yet.
I skipped the Crystal Visions gig, but have seen every show prior to that going back to Enchanted, and even went to Vegas for the much-hyped but totally underwhelming shows there in May 2005.
For me to pay Stevie's ticket prices again, she's going to need a setlist that is at least 75% different from the past decade.
These days I'd much rather pay $20 to see an up-and-coming artist playing new material at a small venue. I saw Kate Nash on Saturday, and thought she put on a great show - she played guitar, piano, and completely entertained the audience of about 350 people - one of the best shows I've been to in years. Adele, James Morrison, Neko Case, The Cinematics, Hockey, Eric Hutchinson - all more interesting as far as live shows go, and I could see almost all of them for the same price Stevie asks for one show.

No need to get your knickers in a knot. People on here have been calling Stevie's retirement since 2004. Every time she or FM tours, there is this broad declaration that it will be the last time, and that she/FM will never release another solo album ever again. Remember, music is her life. She's not going to decide one day to do nothing but crank out sh*tty paintings like Joni Mitchell and Grace Slick. Or make sh*tty movies like Madonna. She doesn't have family obligations either. She is/was/always will be a gypsy in a traveling show. I do believe that, when her time comes, she will die onstage.

Hehe. They're firmly unknotted. I just get sad when I hear talk of her retirement and I'm still a Stevie show virgin. It sucks lol. But I hope you're right in that sense! I don't mind helping her with her zimmer frame when she reaches her first century should she try to have a whack at Stand Back :p *shudders at mention of Madonna in the same subject matter as Stevie* I don't like that woman.
Die onstage? Wow that's a grim thought lol :(

I am for sure going. I have never seen her live, solo or with the Mac. And the reason for that is because for all of my life, I lived in Midland, TX, which if you know anything about Texas, you know it is a good 300+ miles from anywhere Stevie or the Mac ever play. So I just never had the funds for a ticket, gas, and a hotel. However, now that I live in Austin, I am only about three hours from Dallas and Houston and this year I have gone to concerts in both Dallas and Houston and driven there and back to Austin the same day. Long drive, but definitely doable. So yes, I am for sure going. And my fingers are crossed that she will come to Austin this year for once. Maybe if she does I can drag Louie there with me!

I agree about Tampa, however, I'd go to Orlando to see her if she played there too. Miami is just too dang far, although it would be REALLY fun to make a mini-vacation out of it. Hmmm....already planning...

I won't go to a casino show... and will not go at all if the set list is the same with 2 new songs ( by the 3 show she will have dropped at least 1 if not 2 songs )
she really need to drop the fleewood mac stuff and dig out some older Solo or Buckingham Nicks .... she could use Dreams (deep dish) like she did in Vegas Play before she walks on but add video of her career ...and hopefully christopher will have nothing to do with this tour!
and no cover songs..if her material isn't good enough for her shows then don't record it

I last saw her solo in 2007, and it was a bit flat. The detriorating voice is not such a problem, but I find her band raucous and drowning her out while she shouts lines. I'll go in 2011 if it appears she has jazzed up the setlist and ditched the cover songs. It is worth the price of admission just to hear her closing song, which is usually a tender and dramatic version of a ballad like BATB or HAEWAFY. Those are the moments I live for, when she is in full emotional mode and the background music isn't throwing her into the pit. Here's hoping the new album is full of soul and spirit.

I love my Stevie Nicks and FM but I cannot do the high prices even the cheap seats are not cheap anymore I have been seeing her live since 1986 and it felt to me personally it was her swan show for me at Foxwoods in Aug of this year it was fun and had a blast. I have to watch my money and put it torwards other things. Looking forward to hearing her new cd. I would love to go but necessities are more important right now It will be a tight year next year for me too its even tight now. I am not a big spender either so I hope everyone who goes enjoys the show. Stevie when she played in Aug. the show was a prime show and she was just on the money the whole night it was magical I don't know if it was her last show on the mini magical mystery tour she called it but it felt for me in my bones it was my last and it felt to me like it was my swan song show. Including FM last year was my last year seeing them too. No more concerts or shows for me of anyone kind. I have met her at the Barnes and Noble signing in NYC in March of 2009 and awesome and priceless moment and have shaken her hands several times at the shows and been to a taped pbs soundstage of FM I had alot of fun thru the years and won't trade it for the world just wanted to be a good show to say it was awesome and don't want to make my last show being a disappointed performance or disappointed set list.

I don't think I'll be going at all. I paid too much the last 2 times I saw her and yeah the setlist thing amoug other things just bother me ....so no I won't pay the higher than usually ticket prices for the same setlist the same everything we've been given .....I'll watch it on YouTube etc.....I can live with that. I've enjoyed seeing other artists this yr without the high ticket prices. I think I only paid like 20.00 to see both (Heart/Peter Frampton & Steve Miller together)....thats enough for me really....if its not cheaper I'll probably not go period for anyone. I can understand the fans that haven't seen Stevie or Mac to want to go but I guess my days of being in awe of them are gone. I didn't see Mac this last tour either (last time was '03) and well I lived without it...and didn't miss alot either. It is what it is.....I guess theres more import things to save my $$ for than concerts etc....No offence but we all have to do what we have to do.....and if you do go please enjoy yourself!!! Have fun......:D
Its all good really!!

Me, I will see her anywhere except the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. I have totally sworn off that casino. The Mo would be fine. (Mohegan Sun).
I know the bad experience I had at the MGM when I went to see SN had as much to do with how I was feeling (exhausted and pissy!) as it did with their 'ef you' attitude, but Foxwoods is even more of a pain to get to than the Mo Sun, which I like way better anyway, all around.
The stadium at The Mohegan Sun is very good, regardless of seating. Not so at the MGM, I think it's a sucky venue unless you're down front. The sound and vision in the 2nd row Mezzaine was awful, for me. Well, I'm a spoiled handful or three.

I was like 13th row center for the MGM Foxwoods Show awesome seats felt closer to the stage it seemed. I have to say its not I agree with you I prefer The M.S of Foxwoods MGM love the layout the workers are not welcoming at all. It seemed she loved it there she might go there next summer who knows. But regardless where she goes that show was my last show she was amazing I though that night. I just don't have the extra money to dish out for shows anymore. I had a blast loved every minute. Definetly The Mohegan Sun is easier to get too and more welcoming too than Foxwoods, Foxwoods is not welcoming at all. MGM Grand Workers there are not nice.

I'm kinda on the fence about seeing her. I mean, I loved the Mac when i saw 'em last year, but at the same time, I have seen 2 of her vingtage concerts (Landover and the US Festival) and TBH, I felt like something was missing, even though she did give some really good performances. Let's see what's going on before I see her...

At this point I'm going to say probably not for quite a few reasons:
2) She never comes to Austin... and I really don't like going into Houston or Dallas.
This is basically why I probably won't see her. I've never seen Stevie live (solo or w/ FM); I saw Lindsey when he came to Austin in 2007. My desire to see her live (I'm kinda the opposite of you - I have zero interest in seeing FM live; I'd much rather just see Stevie) is not as great as my dislike of Houston and Dallas.

Um, I'll probably go. HA, you guys know I'm the biggest Chiffonhead ever and would never miss an opportunity to see my Queen. Yes money is an issue but sh*t, I'd sell my soul if it came down to it. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I would pay top dollar just to see Stevie come out on the stage and sing happy birthday. Yes I have certain songs I prefer she sing over others but nothing in the world compares to the euphoric feeling I get when she's standing it front of me and that my friends, is priceless. *waits for tomatoes to be thrown*

She didn't come to NC in '07 or '08, but she's pretty much toured there every other time. Unless Stevie cuts her tour short next year in order to run back to the Mac, I'd expect she'll hit the Carolinas. Maybe, I'm saying "maybe", this is what seperates the casual fans & the hardcore fans.
I can see the money issue, but because of same setlist etc. her voice not up to par pleeeeez! Its wear & tear ,its par for the cource she's 62 not 26 and.......wait for it.............Theres a new friggin album in the works and there will "hopefully" be at least 1 new song that the world has never heard before....Thats reason enough for me.

I have to disagree. I am not even close to a casual fan. The amount of money and time I've invested in this woman's career is staggering. She is the number one musical force in my life, and has been for 23+ years. I simply have no desire to see the same show I've seen 7-10 times. Just like I have no interest in seeing the same movie that many times, or going to the same place for vacation that many times or having sex in the same position over and over and over. At some point enough is enough, and I reached that point with Stevie's live sets a few years back.
If Stevie drops the cover songs, and changes her setlist substantially then I'll go. Otherwise I can watch the performances I want to see on YouTube. Of course she'll perform songs from the new album, but that alone is not enough. Her voice matters not - what she chooses to sings with it matters entirely.

Anyone on here, (The ledge), who says thay wont go see Stevie beacause her voice is done, should probably find another web-page to hang around on 24/7.
Stevie is Stevie, her live solo show is brilliant, very few people in the crowd complain about the overall presentation, most people state that they are blown away by how good she is, (okay I am para-phrasing here), I have not heard a complaint at any of her shows,
For Fans on here to say they would not go see her 'Live" given the chance, strikes me as wierd,
I know everyone is entitled to their opinion, but why be negative about Stevie,
okay its freedom of speech, etc, but really, why complain, just don't go.

Invariably, the naysayers are typically the ones who haven't seen her in ___ years yet they are passing judgment on her "deteriorating" voice based on crappy sounding YouTube clips and bootlegs.

:shrug:I have to disagree.
See maybe thats the thing, I still get the goose bumbs and huge smile when she walks on stage. For me that hasn't gone away, it may some day, but not today. I just still get that "thrill" of watching her perform. I have spent many $ as well but thats "my thing" some people pay $500.00 to go see a football game, Stevie's my football so to speak. I also live in Calif. and she plays up & down this state so her shows are more doable for me.

There is no fan contract that stipulates that you must see Stevie live. And there is no fan contract that dictates you must like every single thing she does. Personally, I'm a fan of Stevie in her height. Pre Klonopin Stevie. That's Stevie I fell in love with, and that's what defines who Stevie is to me. That's not to say she doesn't still write fantastic songs, or she doesn't still pull on the occasional stellar concert. I've seen Stevie quite a few times this past decade, so I can't be accused of dismissing her altogether. The thing that turns me off most is her lethargy and indifference. I can understand she's losing her range, and she's getting older. But the indifference of her performances this past decade is the silver bullet that has me upset. She's much happier and more interactive solo, but especially in the Mac, she's like a Steviebot. Another reason I haven't seen Stevie since she toured with Tom Petty is she's had no new material to support. I can only hear Rhiannon, Edge, and Dreams so many times. I'll be infinitely more inclined to see her once she's got some new songs to play.

Agreed. If Stevie's concert prices were anywhere near the affordable range, I probably would have seen her every time she was in my vicinity this past decade. I nearly have anyway... but she didn't come to the Carolinas in '07 or '08, and I couldn't budget the gas to drive to Atlanta or DC on top of the already steep ticket prices just to hear her squawk out Rhiannon and Edge of 17. And I just couldn't justify paying $150 last year solely to hear Storms.
Who knows... I'm hoping as Stevie gets older she'll start doing more intimate venues and stop caring about focusing on the hits at the expense of her beautiful catalogue of album/unreleased tracks. That'd put me in the ticket line for sure!

Thanks for sharing... there's no denying that's an absolutely gorgeous performance of Storms . Probably the best I've heard, in fact! Stevie had excellent control of her voice, and sang it softly and beautifully. None of the pitchiness and over projecting she's wrestled with this past decade.

Yes, tickets have been expensive, but you're talking about the best seats in the house. The fact is that every Fleetwood Mac show and every Stevie solo show has had "cheap" seats - $25 - $50. Granted, these were for the worst seats, but you can't say that the prices to go see a concert were prohibitively expensive across the board. Unlike in the olden days, today you pretty much pay for what you get; promoters have wisened up to the ticket pricing game. Sure, it sucks to pay through the nose for a good seat. But at least then it means that it is easier to nab/buy a good seat. If all seats, including the front rows, were $30, the entire arena would sell out in 15 minutes. I'd rather pay more for a good seat than not have any chance of even getting in at all.

Agreed 100%.
In addition, it's not even about the ticket prices for me - it's about the value earned. I just don't personally feel like there is any value to be gained - for me personally - in seeing her again only to have her play the same songs and covers she's played over and over.
I understand that there will always be the hits at Stevie shows - but she could limit herself to a couple of the standard hits and the rest could be new or never-before performed songs or rarely performed HITS. Good grief, it wouldn't kill her to sing Rooms on Fire or Talk To Me or After The Glitter Fades or Kind of Woman or I Miss You or No Spoken Word or god forbid something unreleased like My Love Is Never Lost - there are SO MANY songs for her to choose from that would be amazing and totally worth the $150 bucks. Rhiannon, Dreams, Rock & Roll and Stand Back just aren't on that list for me anymore.
In the end, I love that Stevie is still performing and making music. I'll buy the new album and play it to death every waking minute of the day for months and endure the taunting of my friends, but I will not see her live again while she strains to shout the same tired songs over Waddy's overly loud and amped up guitar.
To those who are excited - by all means, I hope the shows thrill you - I know the feeling, and it's wonderful! However, it's also ok that some of us just don't get those goosbumps anymore when the droning beats of Stand Back or Dreams start up and sound exactly like the last 9 times you've heard them.

Since Stevie mainly started adding all the covers about the time she stopped recording new material, I wonder if the covers (minus I Need To Know, naturally) will be absent from the setlist on her next tour? By Stevie's own formula, she can't add more than 3 new songs at a time... so I'm guessing that'll mean the covers will be out next tour. If there is a God...

I already told my husband I wanted to go see Stevie Nicks, seeing as how I just got into her and the Mac last year. I told him I wanted to do Front Row cause of the Edge Walk. It will be my second concert, my first was Crue Fest 2, I went cause my mom is a big Motley Crue fan she put me to sleep to it.
However I am starting college again in January and won't be done til May and i'm taking 6 courses, so it also depends on if i'm still in school. My husband already said he wouldn't mind going out of state. We are in podunk NC.

Its always funny to see these threads come up every time a new tour is about to begin.
What I don't understand is (and i'm not naming names and I do not mean to offend) how can fans who spend so much time on these boards not see her live? So much time and effort is spent talking about this woman and her music, how she has affected his or her life. Why not pay the $150 to go see her?
I'm only 21, but, ive seen every Fleetwood, Stevie, and Lindsey show in the northeast area since I was seven years old and it never gets old. The excitement and anxiety before a show never goes away. I still get so nervous before she hits the stage because I still love her so much. I listen to her music every day, I read these boards every day, and I get overly excited about the tiniest pieces of information about her. She is a part of my life and getting to spend 2 hours with her once a year is always an incredible experience.
Sure, I've probably heard Landslide and Dreams over twenty times live. Of course I would give one of my limbs to hear Gold and Braid, Rooms on Fire, or Talk to Me, but I would never stop going to her shows. Just to get out for a night and dance to rock and roll music with friends and family is worth the $150 dollars.
Obviously, we are going through a tough economic time. Not everyone can drop $150 or travel hundreds of miles to see her. Thats totally understandable. I'm lucky enough to have a part time job as a college student to save money to see them. I would rather drop $150 for front row seats at a Mac concert over spending that much on an average weekend night in Boston (yes, that does happen). Hell, when they came around for the Unleashed Tour I blew all of my tax return money just to take my best friend to see them. He's an average music goer for a 20 year old in 2010: Dave Matthews, Gaga, OAR, Coldplay etc...But as his best friend and a huge Fleetwood Mac fan, just hearing him say "that was the best concert I've have ever seen" totally justified a 2 hour trip and $300 worth in tickets.
Lindsey, Stevie, Mick, and John aren't going to be around forever. Sometimes, I think the fans take advantage of the "oldies" factor when they tour. Sure, they are going to do greatest hits shows and play the classics at concerts supporting new material. I know I would be absolutely devastated if Stevie didn't play Stand Back or Lindsey dropped Tusk. It doesn't matter how many times I hear those songs or how much money I drop, its always an amazing experience when you are there (at least to me).
And then, of course, there are the lifers, who got to see Fleetwood Mac play the Rosebud concert in 1976 or saw Stevie on the Wild Heart Tour. Of course she's not going to live up to those experiences. Theres only so much cocaine a person can take. I would do anything to travel back to 1981 to see Stevie on the Bella Donna Tour or Fleetwood Mac on the Mirage Tour. And I can gauruntee if I was around then, I would still be seeing them today because I love their music.
When these guys do stop touring, I think there are going to be a lot of people who regretted not going to see that hits tour when Stevie played Storms, Beautiful Child, Beauty and the Beast, or Love Is. Maybe then, it would seem worth it to some.
Again, I'm not trying to offend anyone here. My point is that spending money to see my favorite band over and over (hah no pun), with the same set, is never a burden, its an absolute pleasure.

If Lindsey comes to Austin next year for his supposed new album, we'll have to get together. I've been dying to see him live, but it's just never synched up to my life. At this point I'd see him over Stevie or Fleetwood Mac any day!
His shows are absolutely incredible.
For the first Under the Skin show (October 2006), I really wasn't a big fan of his solo stuff yet. I thought the new album was ok, but nothing spectacular. The show was amazing...Some guy gave my mom two front row tickets while we were waiting to go into the theater.
I was the *only* person to play Lindsey's guitar on Go Your Own Way. I only did it because he did it on the SYW tour, which I had seen. He absolutely ate it up (I think Pattie has a picture of this somewhere). I yelled out Down on Rodeo (my favorite song from UTS at the time) and he played it at the end of the show. Unreal. He also did Holiday Road and Save Me a Place.
After the show, I immediately started listening to OOTC. After the first listen, I was absolutely hooked. 'Turn it On" became my immediate favorite. A few months later (March 2007) he added "Turn it On" to his set list. I almost had a heart attack when someone here posted an audio clip of it from the Houston show. I'm still so bitter that he axed it from the Bass Hall release. I think he decided to cut it because it was the first night they played the song and it sounded a bit rough. Anyway, I remember I saw him 3 more times in 2007 (Northhampton, Hampton, and Burlington). Could not believe he added my favorite song to his set list.
The Gift of Screws tour was just as exciting, if not more that UTS tour. I was a sophmore in College when he toured. I remember my mother and I drove miles to see him 3 more times (Northhampton, Lebanon, and Boston). I know I missed a lot of class that week.
The thing that kinda blows about Lindsey's shows are the audiences. NO ONE stands until Go Your Own Way. However, on the GOS tour in Lebanon, NH a crowd of people ran down to the stage during Tusk which was like the fifth or sixth song he did. I ran down with them and spent the night at the stage.
I hope he does 'Love Runs Deeper' when he comes back around, loved that live. Anyway, end rant. He puts on an incredible live show. Nearly every time I've seen him, he has taken an audience request at the end of the show (usually Bleed to Love Her, but he did do Save Me a Place and Down on Rodeo a few times). In Northhampton 2008 he was taking more requests. I was at his feet and requested "underground." He said " we didn't rehearse that one." I think he played BTLH instead.
Ok seriously, done ranting.

Yay you & yay me!! I understand its all a matter of opinion here folks. But I again agree with some of the above statements. I have seen FM in the late 70's, and I have seen the Bella Donna tour and I still enjoy these shows today. The good, bad & ugly!!

I've been seeing Stevie almost 30 yrs. now....and I find her vocals in concert today to be far more consistent and stronger than ever. I was blown away with her vocals on the 05' Gold Dust, 07' Crystal Visions & 09' Unleashed Tours. She was spot on the times I saw her during those concerts. And her vocals on BATB and Landslide are exceptional and chilling. The YouTube Clips out there of her recent tours do not do her justice. I think what some people really miss is the spontaneity of her performances...that been missing really since the RAL tour.

I would love to see more Fleetwood Mac or solo shows. I was lucky enough to see FM on The Dance tour and SYW tour. Still, not everyone can spend the kind of money it takes to go to a show. I bought tickets for me and my husband for the SYW tour- $150 apiece- and I thought my husband was going to faint at the prices! He was used to seeing big groups in the 80s and paying $15 a ticket!

"I will not see her live again while she strains to shout the same tired songs over Waddy's overly loud and amped up guitar. " I guess I have similar sentiments. I will probably enjoy listening to studio Stevie a lot more. I hope the album is heavy on the complex and moody side.

It depends where she plays and how much the tickets are and to be honest, I'd really want to be close to the stage as well. Stevie isn't really one of the people I drop it all to go and see, mostly because of her set and that if I'm not close, I don't really feel the excitement like I do for other acts I've seen in larger venues. I do hope she comes around here though so I have the opportunity to try, because it would be silly NOT to if it's easy and ticket prices aren't too high.

I have enjoyed all the concerts since 1986 Of Stevie Nicks solo and FM thru today and I do think Stevie sounds better now than even on the Rock A Little Tour 1986 was my first time seeing Stevie live and loved it she was very raspy on that tour also doped up too until the end of the tour checking into Betty Ford she was awesome then and still awesome today but I choosing not to go to anymore shows and just rather have a good memory of an awesome show with an awesome set list back in Aug. at Foxwoods MGM Grand and FM was great last year too and I am Happy and glad to have been to many many shows and glad too to making this decision too of not going its not that I don't love her and fm anymore I love them always did and always will since I have been 9yrs old and now I am 40yrs old more necessities are more important now for me than going to a concert so for the people that are going to the shows enjoy yourselves you will love the shows I had a blast thru the years meeting everyone at the shows besides seeing the shows. If you have not seen Stevie and FM in concert treat yourself and go see it you will love it.:wavey::):woohoo::nod::]:]

Think she may 'give' us a new song either on Nicksfix or itunes before the year is out? I don't mean free. I just mean, give something up to those who still care about new music from her and always have.
It would be benevolent of her, and could make all the difference.
I think the attitudes of some fans have really changed during the past 3 tours-- like they feel they're being taken for granted with all the rehashing. This thread alone shows surprisingly more than a few wavering on whether they will be there next year or not for the tour. That can't be good.
I think SN should throw her fans a bone, already. Something.

It is true that people seem to be losing their enthusiasm. For me it is not the shows so much as the lack of new material - 7 years since SYW and 10 since TISL. These were followed by two reworks of ancient solo material mixed with mediocre cover songs, and a retro oldies show with FM. There isn't much to cling to besides reworks of material that is 20-30+ years old. I saw her solo in 07 and on Unleashed, and right now I will simply wait to see what the new album and tour setlist look like before committing.
Why does this not ring a bell with me? Is there a demo floating around I am unaware of or am I just having a brain fart? Fill me in!

I agree with most of dat ^^^^,.
I do respect those who have made the decision not to go see Stevie or the Mac again. I'm sure that individuals who spend time on this board and who are gaga over Stevie and the Mac have put much thought into why they are choosing not to attend a future concert. For me it's not an option pending I have the means to go. If I don't, then I don't. Lucky for me I have 2 little tax credits running around my house which will in turn get me a good ticket to see Stevie next year. Is that a logical way to spend my money? Probaby not (don't judge yall- it ain't all fun and games). I went to college, work full time, and am a single mom. I have earned my trip to see Stevie.
I've seen Fleetwood Mac 3 times now but have never been to a Stevie solo show. Honestly, up until now I had no desire to see Stevie solo because I was still stuck in "shipper" land. "What? Just Stevie? No Stevie and Lindsey? OMG! Are they going to get back together? Oh they should they should." Etc, etc. *squils*.:xoxo: I am now a recovering shipper, with an ocassional slip on the ship.
Being that I haven't been to that many shows and they have been pretty spread out, I doubt I'm going to miss seeing my Stevie or FM if they are on tour....because how many more tours could they possibly go on? I mean, I'm not real good at math but they are getting up there in age. :o
Anywho, I'm looking forward to the upcoming year. Everyone I know is aware Stevie is putting out a new album and she will be on tour. It gives me something to look forward to. I can't think of anyone else I'd like to see at this point. Well, maybe Pink but that's a whole nother obsession for all different reasons. :)

Does anyone have an actual mp3 of this song?

She's much happier and more interactive solo, but especially in the Mac, she's like a Steviebot.
I agree. I much prefer her solo tours to her performances with FM (especially lately). On FM tours Lindsey rules the stage and Stevie just kind of quietly stays in the background, unless she's performing her material and even then it's still pretty staid. Do you think she really prefers that or do you think it's like a deal they have, that when it's FM, it becomes more of "The Lindsey Show"? I've often wondered.

Which is so narcissistic of him considering most people are there to see Stevie, not Lindsey (or just the band in general). Seriously though, how many people would not go if Stevie wouldn't be there as opposed to Lindsey not being there?? A lot.
I too agree I would MUCH rather see her solo because Lindsey hogs the stage which is really a shame not so much for Stevie but for her fans. Sorry to the Lindsey fans but a fact is a fact. And to take to another level as much as I like Christine I'm glad she's no longer with the band because it means more Stevie time!

Lindsey doesn't do anything different on stage now than he did in 1979 or 1982. Simply watch the Mirage video.
Its not fair to blame Stevie's movement on Lindsey because she is older and not doing a truckload of cocaine. I just saw her solo, she did pretty much the exact same moves that she did on the Unleashed tour.

I have to disagree... There is a definite spring in her step when she is solo. She is punching the air, kicking up her legs and crouching down at times. She also changes up the melody sometimes, makes eye contact with the audience and presses the flesh. At a Mac show she is noticeably more distant and deliberate with her movements and vocals. I suspect that, given the fact that she is not the be-all, end-all of FM like she is in her solo life, she is more mindful of not upsetting the pace and rhythm of the band. If she flubs up a song in her solo show, nobody can give her grief because, well, it's her show. But if she flubs up during a Mac show, it makes everyone look bad, and we all know about the other big egos in that band. In Lindsey's case, he is the leader of the band, so he has the liberty to take chances on stage. And it is likely that after 35 years of playing together, Mick and John instinctively know how to keep the beat during one of Lindsey's many live excursions.

What are these chances? Lindsey didn't do anything on the Unleashed tour that he hasn't done before. The only new songs he did were Monday Morning and Oh Well. Everything else has been done in all his recent solo tours. I just think people think Lindsey is showing off when, really, Stevie is slowing down. And not by choice. How many shows did it take for her to switch from boots to the shoes? She looked friggin pained. Stevie had no problem being all over the stage on the SYW tour. Even if she said she hated the tour, the live performances tell the truth. She was happy and dancing everywhere.
I just think its bull when people think Lindsey is running the show. Its not the case and never has been the case.

The point is he's not, he's just trying to. Bottom line is he would never get the crowds (or album sales) for his solo shows that Stevie gets for hers so FM is really his best chance to "shine" and he obviously takes full advantage of it. Even if he isn't doing anything different than 1982 you'd think he'd have the maturity by now to sit back a little but he still revels in the attention and would probably make Stevie feel like sh*t if she made the same kind of effort he did with FM (if she's even capable that is). I still believe it bothers his ego to this day that Stevie clearly became the star of the band. Lindsey fans can argue with that all they want but if you take a look at the numbers and photos over the years it can't be denied.
*and if anyone is really "running the show* it's Mick, not Stevie or Lindsey.

I'm not arguing about who is the star of the band. I love Stevie AND Lindsey. Obviously, her impact on the band helped Fleetwood Mac skyrocket. Lindsey dances around and shines at his solo shows as well. He's not showing off or being mature, thats how he is onstage ALWAYS. Since the beginning, until now. Why would a rock star sit back a little onstage? Its an adrenaline rush that probably could never be replaced. I don't think what Lindsey does on stage has anything to do with his ego. He's having fun onstage. Just because other members of Fleetwood Mac do not seem to be having as much fun, doesn't mean its Lindsey's fault. He isn't "bringing the band down" with his ego. If he did, Stevie would have been gone after the first 40 dates of the SYW tour.
Listen, I am always first and fore most a Stevie been. Always have been since I was 7 years old. But after experiencing a lull in Stevie's career, I looked into what Lindsey had to offer. And thats new music and incredible live rock shows. I'm not in this for a few twirls of chiffon every other song.

I want to say my Foxwoods Show was my last show, I just can't spend the money anymore on concerts so my concert days are over for now. I will be buying her new cd but won't be able to go to the concert. I had a wonderful time at The Foxwoods show in Aug. it was awesome.

For years, 1975-1997 it was a competition between Stevie and Lindsey on stage. Lindsey tried so hard to be the crazy maniacal guitar player but was always over shined by Stevie and her "airy fairy" ways. Stevie can captivate an audience with ease, but back in the day, she had cocaine and a grudge against Linds to make her go balls to the wall to get that audience. I think nowadays tho, Stevie is done. She is done trying to upstage him, because she has learned that when she upstages him he isn't as nice. And she has already come out on top, she doesn't feel she needs to prove anything else to Lindsey. When she is solo, she has the freedom to do her songs in the order she wants and she doesn't have to sit there and sing backup for anyone or lull thru a long ass Buckingham guitar solo present on every damn song! I think she has more energy solo because it is her project, her songs, and her thing. When she is with the Mac, she is just part of the project, and she doesn't feel she has to prove anymore that she is the leader. Also, FM tours are way more extensive and like she said, it is like being in the army, so can you blame her?

I cringe at the thought of Mac songs without guitar solos. What would they be? Again, I disagree with your view of Lindsey's guitar playing. Hell, he uses the same guitar he did in 79' to the present. Even some of the solos are the same (So Afraid, GYOW) Fleetwood Mac ISN'T just about Stevie. I never said there was anything wrong with the guitar solos, I meant it must get tiring for Stevie to sit there and do NOTHING thru them every night. And I don't know what I said about Lindsey's guitar playing that you don't agree with? I didn't say he changes it up, I didn't say he wasn't good, I said he goes out there and plays the hell out of his guitar every night, which is what he does. And he has admitted that it sucks that he doesn't get the recognition he deserves, but Stevie, who isn't quite a musical "genius" like him, gets all kinds of fame. To combat that, Stevie would go out there and turn her performance into an exorcism, but she doesn't do that anymore. And I didn't say FM is just about Stevie, what I am saying is Stevie and Lindsey have always been in a competition for the spotlight, but now Stevie is stepping down. She doesn't see the need to kick every performance up to 11 now to prove something to Lindsey. She is realizing that she is part of Fleetwood Mac and it is no longer a competition to her. Lindsey is Lindsey, and Stevie competed with him for years, but now she feels she doesn't need to, so that is why she seems like somewhat of a Stevie-bot during Mac tours.

I much prefer the White album version of I'm So Afraid, it's more sped up than the long drawn out sloooww version he plays live. I like the live version from the '76 video I believe. The way he chooses to perform it since, it just creeps along like a vinyl record playing at slowest speed.

I agree with this. I don't think Lindsey is trying to upstage Stevie. I think Stevie is slowing down, so LB looks more 'manic' by comparison. If anything, he may be doing all he does to cover up Stevie's slowing down.

And now that he's singing 50% of the songs (unlike the 33% or so when Chris was with them) he's out front and center more, pulling the show. Yeah, I think Stevie's tired and slowing down on stage, but who can blame her? I hate that she wears those horrible frankenboks, but at her age she can't move around and do a 2-3 hr set in those spiked platforms anymore. I couldn't do it for an hour and I'm half her age and in better shape!

That's exactly what I say! I was born only 2 years before you and have never seen her perform before at all, so I would kill to see her perform ANYTHING. Like I said earlier.. if she had the sudden urge to do stand up comedy..being it on
