After playing its first six games with an interim mascot, Georgia will introduce Uga VIII before Saturday's homecoming game against Vanderbilt.

Georgia has had "Russ" as the interim mascot since Uga VII's untimely death last year.

Does the new Uga still have use of the fancy air conditioned dog house that the other Uga had?

Yes. And, an ice bag to lay on to stay cool in the Georgia heat. Uga lives a dog life of luxury. Tennesee's coon hound "Smokey" is like wise in comfort.

Georgia plays Kentucky this Saturday in Lexington. UK won last year in Athens and is looking for their first ever repeat over UGA.

Go Cats!

I like Kentucky's shot too. I'm a mini-homer in that regard, but aside from my general support I think the two teams are fairly even in this match
