I whipped these up this weekend. These three will have to do for now until we get the real Mirage remasters on CD. ;)
Enjoy!

In what way did you tweak the already perfect Straight Back?

hey, thanks for these remasters. nice.
i'm also lookin for an mp3 of the live version of Eyes of the World from the Tusk documentary video (which IMO is much better than the Live in Boston. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks!

I've not got time to listen to them in detail at the minute but I'm curious what you did in your remastering process? Volume boost, EQing etc.

A bit of both. It's interesting because almost everything direct from the CD's peak at about -6 to -4... Sometimes less. The endings on most songs (which I think 10 seconds is enough) tends to be 20 seconds or more. I'm working on Isnt It Midnight and NGBA now.

Straight Back
Very nicely done. I've always thought this was the one song on the album that just didn't get justice done to it by from the technology of the day. When I saw this post I actually put mirage on, and played this song about 8 times today before I listened to your link. Well done. I heard things I never did before, this is what it should've always sounded like. A hidden gem I've always thought.

Thanks. There's a little fuzzy glitch right around 3:18 on Straight Back... Not sure how that happened. I'll see if I can fix it.
