Ledgies...:woohoo: ... Here's the poll for Lindsey's songs from Tusk.
Multiple choice - try to limit yourself to 4 choices.

I don't see any poll *checks under the rug to see if she swept it under when "cleaning" her room*. The Ledge, anyhoo.

I had a slight delay between the actual post and getting the poll finished. I'm at work and had some lady customer give me hell about something. :distress:

It was close between WMYTYTO and WATL. Went with the first one, due in part to the killer drum track, it's edginess and overall attitude.

I MUCH prefer the version on Mick's The Visitor album.

I MUCH prefer the version on Mick's The Visitor album.
Nah too peppy for me. I like the stoned haziness of the original.....yea.

Gave my vote to TUSK! Oh yeah, and The Ledge, which, like the forum, is strange and crazy

It was a tough duel between The Ledge and Walk A Thin Line. The Ledge is probably the single most fun Mac song ever recorded... you can't help but smile and sing along when you hear it! It never fails to lift my mood.
But in the end, I had to give my vote to Walk A Thin Line. There's something special about this song. Lindsey isn't known for writing soft, beautiful ballads... but here is exactly that on the least likely of albums. In an album full of snarky, angry songs from Lindsey that are made to SOUND unpleasant is an understated, unapologetically beautiful little song. Gorgeous harmonies, honest sentiments, beautiful percussion. This is probably the first song of Lindsey's on Tusk that really spoke to me, and that's probably why it wins my vote in the end.

Save Me A Place got my vote. I just like the yearning vocal so much.
This is a tough one, tho. I've recently gone through a bit of a Damascus Road type conversion on LB's Tusk output, and I like them all now! (Well, maybe not 'Not That Funny' so much, but even that's got its uncompromising brattish qualities.)

I'm glad it wasn't just one choice. I had a hard time even narrowing it down to 4!!!

I Know I'm Not Wrong (just a kick ass track)
Tusk (guess I should give most of the credit on this to Mick rather than Lindsey)
What Makes You Think You're The One (that's one tough piano part...not so much the notes, but the stamina to keep up that rhythm)
Save Me A Place (awesome harmonies)

Even though I think it should be one vote only, I voted twice. I nearly love them equally, but Save Me a Place is, to me, the quintessential Lindsey song. And I find it so achingly beautiful (his Over & Over). My second choice is Walk a Thin Line... Also quintessential, I very much pair these two songs. And his intake of air at the beginning is just... breathtaking.

I'm finding it hard not to just vote for all of them. I love all the songs on this album, especially Lindseys. I'll have to have a think on to narrow it down.

Somebody vote for That's Enough For Me, pweeeaaase *bats eyelids* Seeing that gaudy black 0 amidst a forest of golden numbers is making me so sad. It's a good song :(

Peestie, Don't worry the poll does not close until Saturday evening. That's the main reason I made the Tusk battles multiple choice. It just seemed more fair, of course only the one with most votes will win.

SilverSprings, I can add "That's Enough For Me" to my votes. Lindsey's songs aren't really my favorite, so it will give me something to vote for.

Looks like the title track is winning, but "The Ledge" isn't far behind.
