This is the first picture I have ever seen of Stevie where her skin doesn't look like perfect porcelain.

I've never liked that picture of Stevie either. Something about the makeup and reddish rust brown hair made her look awful and not even like herself.

Yeah, I really dig the browns shown here. I know she's got to have those pieces (or similar ones) stashed away in a closet somewhere, and I really wish she'd bring something like that out to wear with her current tan boots. I think the tan boots would look SO much better with something in the same shade family, like those pieces - the way she's currently wearing the boots with the black Rhiannon outfit just doesn't quite do it for me.

I understand if she considers black to be a "safe" color, but I feel like she could still rock any color in the rainbow if she tried, so it's a shame she doesn't step out of the box much anymore. As long as it's not that peach monster from the "Every Day" video. That was a pretty dress, but not really Stevie's thing.

Not that I'm one to talk, of course - you'd be hard-pressed to find anything not black in my own closet (except shoes and handbags). :laugh: But my coloring is completely different from hers and also I'm lazy.

I think she looked fabulous here. This pic is from 1996, after she had shed her addiction to klonopin, her questionable fashion choices and 30 lbs. She did have a few rough years in the range you mentioned, but by the time this was taken, she had really transformed back into Stevie again.

She still looks extremely full in the face here, I don't think she had lost 30 lbs at this point. This is the 'Rooms on Fire' shaped head she had in 1989. I think the weight loss must have been a bit after this, else she lost more and that's when her face went back to semi-normal.

It does make them pop, I just can't quite get behind the brown and black thing in that particular outfit. Something like a classic camel & black Chanel piece I can definitely do. But for some reason, those boots with the Rhiannon outfit just don't do it for me.

It's just chiffon flowing from one of the sleeves. Her left arm is across John, and it's the one holding onto his hand.

It's fun to see him and Stevie playing around during the Tusk photoshoot, when he carries her off.

Also, it's a nice story about the shooting of the back of the 1975 album. Herbie says that when John walked towards Lindsey, Lindsey tensed up, because he thought John was going to do something aggressive, but John hugged him and Lindsey instantly lightened up and laughed and hugged back.

That is similar to the great moment during the 1990 BTM when Lindsey is going down the line and he is greeting everyone and he gets to John and John pretends like he doesn't want to shake his hand and so Lindsey starts to move away and John indicates that he was only playing around and they clasp. Awkward and tender.
