I am doing a little project for myself and I am trying to compile everything Stevie has written that we know and have. I have compiled a list of all of her songs, but I am trying to stay away from songs she did not write, so I have omitted songs such as Stop Draggin My Heart Around and Seven Wonders. Anyway, I just figured I would ask you guys to help point out anything on the list that she did not write, or songs/poetry that she did write which needs to be included. I know some of her poetry has come out of the years, but I haven't started adding the poetry to the list yet, so add anything you have! Also, if you have ideas as to when things were written, feel free to add a date! Thanks!

Have you checked BuckinghamNicks.net (http://buckinghamnicks.net/) under Stevie's lyric/discography section? I've always thought it was complete.

"Freestyle", lyrics by Stevie, music by Les Dudek.

"Night Hawk" by Stevie (poem but copyrighted as a song as well).

That is where I got most of this list, however it includes a lot of songs that she did not write and then it splits up her solo songs and Fleetwood Mac songs too.

Stevie didn't write "At Last".

"All Over U", which I've detailed before IS Stevie singing, and Prince fans told me that Stevie wrote the lyrics.

Do you have lyrics to any of these?

Nope, just the copyrighted dates.

I have the lyrics for "Night Hawk".

I knew you'd suggest that! ;)

I'll dig out that tomorrow, and that poem where Stevie quotes "Bette Davis Eyes" in it, including the "slap slap"s from Kim Carnes' video of the song. (That might be "For Rick"?)

Might want to check out buckinghamnicks.net just to double-check and see if you missed anything. I'm not sure if it includes the author(s) but it may be helpful
for seeing if anything's missing.

"All Over U", which I've detailed before IS Stevie singing, and Prince fans told me that Stevie wrote the lyrics.

Wow, seriously? I've always figured it was all Prince. It's very straightforwardly sexual, which is not really how Stevie writes.

I noticed that Poor Me is missing. Supposedly Stevie wrote most of the lyrics, and she and Eliza Jane Edwards worked on the music together. I'd love to hear Stevie sing it! Stevie only needs songs that begin with Q, X, and Z, and then she'll have covered the whole alphabet.

That is one heck of an impressive list if I do say so!!!

"Tear It Down"

"Tall Man Riding"

"Those Bells"

"Hard Advice"

Do we know for sure these aren't just different titles for songs like That Made Me Stronger and The Highwayman?

mikebise

I wondered if "Hard Advice" was "That Made Me Stronger", but Stevie copyrighted "TMMS" as "You Know Me Better Than I Know Myself", or something like that, originally. But, yeah, I thought that, too. And "Hard Advice" is 1995, when she wrote "TMMS", so it fits the timeframe.

"Those Bells" doesn't... wait for it... ring a bell on any known songs. Someone postulated it might be based on another Poe poem. Dunno.

How about the (dreadful) "Soldier's Angel" poem?
