Oh, it definitely counts more than once. I've managed to change some of the ladies percentages (at least early on) despite voting for them more than once. Besides, how do you think Tina Turner went from close to the bottom to close to number one in a few days time? I get the feeling that a relatively small number of crazed Tina fans finally came out of the woodwork to vote over and over. See the comments section for some of those crazed fans.

There is one Tina fan responsible for the massive increase in Tina votes - I'm in a Tina fan group on Facebook and she messages ALL the members literally every 2 to 3 weeks with some Tina related promotion, and she messaged us the other day saying that Stevie Nicks was at number 1 and that all the Tina fans in the group should vote 100 times to knock her off.. it kinda annoyed me, not least because this woman seems to do nothing but try and get thousands of people to promote Tina Turner the world over! Still, I'm glad that one of my favorites made the list - Michelle Phillips from the Mamas & Papas.

Michelle was behaving like Stevie Nicks before Stevie was. She was the quintessential stunning beauty of her era. While she was in a band with her husband John Phillips, she slept with her fellow band member Denny Dorherty, not to mention Gene Clark from the Byrds. Lots of sex, pot and acid. She was actually fired from the band for her affairs early on, but was reinstated after some begging. She was and still is a very strong-willed, tough, liberated and unconventional woman, much like Stevie.

Maybe I missed something but her first and last studio release "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" was hip/hop-R&B masterpiece far from Rock realm. I'm glad that there's Stevie and Susanna Hoffs. I would add Alannah Myles to the list as she was tough sexy woman in her glory days of "Black Velvet". And what about hippy looks of Emmylou Harris? I know she's more country than rock but hey, if Lauryn Hill made to the list...
