View Full Version : Strange Dream I met Her

I had a crazy dream I met her last night, she had came to my old house I grew up in (idk why I haven't lived there since my father died) and she was so sweet, and I was like can I have an autograph and she was like sure. Well then a cat in the house got out ( i think the cat I have now), and she ended up leaving but inviting me to come see her record her album.

Really weird I don't think I made it there, but I remember saying I had to go, or trying to go.

I had an odd dream with Stevie this morning too. Without getting into too much detail, Sally Field was a ghost, and Stevie was comforting her. Yeah, I don't really know what that was about.

mmmmh, idk either strange! Hope Sally Field's not going anywhere I liked her in Smokey and the Bandit, and she protested the Iraq War too, and that's good of her to do too.

Years ago I had a dream that Stevie was performing at the high school I went to. Since we lived just down the road from the school, she was using our house to get ready. She was up in my sisters bedroom doing her hair and putting her makeup on. She told me I could have front row seats since we let her use our house.
It's weird that people have dreams where Stevie shows up at their houses!!

Strangely Stevie has never shown up at my house in my dreams. I always meet her in an airport or I go to her house.

Yeah, she's never shown up at my house either or shown an interest in hanging out with me. I'm very disappointed in my subconscious, lol. Right before my FM show last year, I dreamed I met her before the show and she gave me an umbrella with RUMOURS printed on it. Lindsey looked the way he did in the '70s. And to make things even weirder, with every new song played the audience had to get up and go to a different room.

I remember having one Stevie dream a few months ago and if I recall correctly it turned slightly naughty. I mean not filth or anything, my mind is just a gutter 'tis all. Another one I remember a few friends and I were at a party with her and we were her guests or something so she walked us around everywhere, it was lovely. :D

LOL, poor Sally Field

Yeah, she seemed pretty upset about the whole being dead thing, but Stevie consoled her with hand holding (apparently Sally was corporeal) and by saying, "Don't worry, honey, you can go through walls!" like it made up for everything.

It still doesn't beat my dream where Nicole Kidman was teaching Dakota Fanning how to be a master tornado chaser. Best dream ever.

Ok I just had one last night. I was visiting a radio or TV station, I'm not sure, when I found out that Stevie was going to be there. She came in happy and smiling to everyone but was too busy and couldn't talk. Then Meat Loaf came in and, as he was waiting to go on after Stevie was finished, we had a long conversation about life.:laugh:

That often happens to me, when I dream. The sub-conscious seems to go back to the place where you spent your formative years.

Back in 1990 I had tickets to see Fleetwood Mac. The show was postponed after Christine's father died. The original show was supposed to by in July but was moved to November (which sucked because now I had to wait all over again!!). Anyhow, I had heard that Greenpeace was somehow involved with the tour. A few nights before the show I had a dream that I went to the show and Stevie came out (with the rest of the band) and said "Instead of doing a show tonight we've decided to talk about Greenpeace and what you can do to help." I woke up and was really pissed. So the night of the show arrives, the show goes on and was great. Then right at the end Stevie comes out and says something about supporting Greenpeace. My dream was sort of coming true!!! It was freaky.

Stevie once helped me steal Gingerbread Men from the Trunchbull, bizarrely enough.

Before I forget all about it, I wanted to get this down in writing. I had the most absurd, surreal dream last night (this morning, actually). It was so bizarre that, in the dream, I was actually slapping my knee and screaming "oh, no she di'in't!" And I never, ever slap my knee and scream "oh, no she di'in't!" in real life.

In a nutshell... Fleetwood Mac was featured on some kind of dance competition TV show like "Dancing with the Stars" (which I don't watch, by the way). They appeared to be either singing or lip syncing a new song called "Do What You Do," which was kind of an upbeat song. First Lindsey was wearing a black speedo-like thing and performing some kind of a bizarre Martha Graham-ish solo interpretive dance; I thought he looked sinewy and taut for an old geezer. Then Stevie comes out wearing a decidedly unflattering white tutu and proceeds to do these impossibly perfect splits in mid-air with Lindsey assisting her on pointe while singing/syncing her part of the song. The audience was loving it! Then, shocker of all shocks, S&L leave the stage and Christine walks out with John. And as she sings her part of the song, she and John perform a smoldering Argentine tango, which included John dragging her across the floor. It was flawless. But it all came down to the big close... where, at the end of the tango, Christine was supposed to fall into John's arms. But she couldn't do it... as if she didn't trust him. So she took a big (mis)step forward and broke her own fall. The judges loved the performance overall, but they cited Christine's big crisis of confidence at the end and voted the whole band off the show. They kept replaying that scene in slo-mo where Christine didn't follow through with her fall into John's arms.

Discuss.

I don't suppose you caught the song in detail, because that's a nifty dream to have in its own right. I would love to hear the Mac perform new material in my dreams just to me.

How freaked out would you be if; not only the new "Stevie and Dave Stewart" album turned out to be a Mac album, but it also had that song? I'd be PMing you for lottery numbers :D

Lmfao, I like how you're like 'Discuss.' after.

This is a very bizarre dream, I could never imagine Stevie on Dancing With The Stars, but it would definitely be thrilling, lol.

Oh, and the Argentine Tango is one of the hardest to pull off! Stupid judges should have gave them a break and not replayed it over and over ...this is why Christine probably left the band alltogether.

That's interesting, because I was just describing that moment in the Tusk photo shoot where Christine (pushed by Stevie) is losing her balance and John's strong, steady hand pushed her upright again. I loved the metaphor that visual created and your subconscious reflects the opposite. Nice.

Music Review, Twin Cities Daily Planet 5/31/2014

http://www.tcdailyplanet.net/news/2014/05/31/girl-germs-infectious

Freelance writers Sally Hedberg and Dana Raidt started Girl Germs after “Stevie Nicks came to them in a dream.” The message delivered by the liminal Nicks was that they should do more to promote the presence and history of women in rock music. Shortly afterwards, they began the website girlgerms.com and organized the First Annual Girl Germs concert at First Ave on Friday May 30, 2014.

The idea for the show was that local artists, not necessarily all women or women-fronted, would pick and pay tribute to notable female artists in rock history. Because of this, the show had a very eclectic selection of musical styles and moods. CRYSTAL, a new band that boasts two members of noise rock masters Brute Heart, kicked things off by playing a few of Sade’s hit songs. Rather than staying too loyal to the original, they broadened the songs just a bit to make it closer to their own style. In general, I enjoyed their approach as they turned Sade’s smooth sexy jams into something just a little bit alien. Their cover of "Smooth Operator "was the highlight of their set and they managed to get some of the early show crowd to stay inside and sing along.

http://first-avenue.com/performer/girl-germs

Girl Germs = Sally + Dana, two music-loving writer gals who met at a lobster bar. Back in 2013, Sally interviewed Dana for an article about Girls Got Rhythm Fest. They hit it off; a few months later Stevie Nicks came to each of them in a dream and prophesied their true calling: to honor the lady musicians who have shaped their lives and careers. So they created Girl Germs (a shout-out to the name of a Bratmobile song/continuation of Dana’s old podcast, which she originally started as a show on Radio K in 2010) and a series of tribute nights in Minneapolis devoted to influential female artists.

i love this thread
I once dreamt she was doing a small, intimate concert
and one of the provisos of being up in the front row
was to come up on stage and do a line with her ... not of a song
it was great!

I had a dream that I had to look after Stevie, Lindsey and John because they couldn't make their flight after a concert here. I took them to our summer cottage, which I thought was so cool, but they kept trying to fight each other so I would have to give them all time outs. I had to devise a swimming schedule so that there was only one in the water at a time, they kept trying to drown each other. I was really mad at the 3 of them for making it so much work. Then we came back to the city and I said that they all behaved like toddlers. When I woke up, I really felt like I had had a visit with them. It made me smile.
