Alabama is favored by 24- which is a lot for any team, on the road, versus another team that has shown they can put up points. Shouldn't be a problem, but it will be interesting to see how Ingram looks on Saturday.

Teaser bets are for succers... but you could tease the Alabama point spread down
and raise the over. With a healthy Ingram there will be plenty of the running game
from Bama. So the total might not be as high as that. Plus Bama has class and they
usually don't run the score up.

The over, if you bet it you would be betting that the teams combined
score would go over a certain amount set by sweet guys called bookies, or
odds-makers.

Parlay or Teasers is a bet on the total score of both teams and taking
the over or under and then picking a team that has to win by
a certain amount of points set by odds-makers. Note that picking the favored
team you have to lay points. Picking the underdog (not the cartoon) you
recieve points. And since you are really making two bets, you get to tease
the bet by a few points on the total and the getting/giving points line.

Don't forget to figure in the Juice.

And even though I feel I'm being set-up...
Bama is just short for Alabama and

But if you're a yankee you are required to use
the following words at all times when referring

1. DAMN....CU sucked against Hawaii and then against Cal ? Be still my heart....overtime! With CU in the Pac 12, I figure Colorado will be the ugly cousin that nobody wants to talk to at family reunions...

2. We subscribed to the Big Ten Network to follow Nebraska....Fresno State was a "holy crap" exclamation in the first half. The game was painful to watch in the first half. Defensive line couldn't get any pressure on the QB and the secondary kept blowing coverage. Luckily, the Offense took the reins in the second half and Ameer Abdullah took a kickoff in for a TD. It was hilarious, after that TD, they showed Pelini talking to a player, completely oblivious to the kick off return. Once he heard all the commotion, he turned around with a look on his face that said, "What the f--- was that?"

If the University of Oklahoma is to stay in the Big 12, it will do so only if the conference adds regulations on ESPN's Longhorn Network and ousts commissioner Dan Beebe, according to a report in The Oklahoman Tuesday.

The Oklahoman, citing a high-ranking Big 12 official, reported Oklahoma president David Boren said Monday the school would decide between applying for the Pac-12 or staying in the Big 12. The source stressed that reforms would be necessary for Oklahoma to remain in the Big 12.

"It's going to take major, major reforms," the source said. "We'd have to have an interim commissioner."

According to the source, the Big 12 presidents don't believe Beebe handled the departures of Nebraska and Texas A&M adequately. The Big 12 has lost three members in the last 15 months, and, according to the source, "the relationships were so bad (with) the commissioner."

According to the Big 12 bylaws, a majority vote among the member schools is needed to oust the commissioner.

Beebe received an extension through June 2015 from the Big 12 in November 2010. University of Missouri chancellor Brady Deaton, chairman of the league's board of directors, said Beebe had been "an outstanding leader" during challenging times.

Beebe received a raise from $661,000 to $997,000 in 2009 before the Big 12's first near breakup.

Oklahoma has also demanded that Texas modify some of its plans for the Longhorn Network. Big 12 members were angered by the network's agreement with Fox Sports to move a conference game to the Longhorn Network and its decision to show high school highlights after the Big 12 voted to keep televised high school games off school-branded networks.

The source told the Oklahoman that a move by Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the Pac-12 wasn't inevitable.

The University of Oklahoma's board of regents and its counterpart at Texas granted their school presidents Monday the authority to take action regarding conference realignment.

The moves clear the way for the Sooners and Longhorns to apply formally to the Pac-12, with whom they have been undergoing discussions in recent days on how to make the schools' addition to the conference work.

After the regents meeting had adjourned, Boren admitted he's had "very warm and constructive discussions" with Pac-12 officials, but wouldn't say when the Sooners might apply for conference membership.

The SEC has informally agreed to add Missouri to the conference and move Auburn to the SEC East, according to a report in the Birmingham News.

The News, citing two sources familiar with the discussions, said a majority of SEC presidents have endorsed the agreement, though a timetable for the move remains unknown. Missouri would become the conference's 14th member, as the SEC already plans to add Texas A&M as the 13th member.

Earlier Tuesday, the Kansas City Star reported that the SEC was going to offer Missouri a spot in the conference, and would wait until the Big 12 dust settled for an answer. The Star cited a Mizzou booster who spoke directly to a school official. Another source told The Star on Tuesday that an Oklahoma official had said the SEC is interested in Missouri, the Star reported.

But the SEC said Tuesday afternoon that the only invitation it had issued was to Texas A&M.

UK may not win another game. If they lose to D-2 Jacksonsville State, at home, next week...it's doomsday for the Joker (Phillips, head coach). We're back where we started with the Curry years. Jacksonsville State (Alabama) was scheduled as a cupcake win...now in doubt.

I'm looking forward to going to the Stanford v USC game at the Coliseum on 10/29. If you've never been there, the Los Angeles Coliseum is a national historical landmark like Michigan Stadium and Notre Dame. It's very old, but home to two Olympic Games and USC going back to the 20's. I'm always good for at least one game a year there. You walk through that tunnel to the field and it's just awesome with 95,000 seats.

I know LSU, Ohio State and Michigan have similar or better fan experience.

I get all excited on Thursday. I get on the computer and google "college football on tv" I find the only printer that has ink left in it, print and start highlighting... Tonight I get the TV to myself so I'm gonna look for Arizona vs. UCLA

If the Colorado game isn't being televised, then I head out to the garage to listen to the game on the only radio I have in captivity. (Looks like I'll be listening to Oregon this week.)

I watch mostly SEC games. Though I'll watch any game if the teams

Not even counting this most embarrassing incident,
Paterno has needed to go for years. Though I've never
been a fan, Penn State deserves much better. Even with
this horrible sex abuse scandal JoePa wanted to stay until
the end of this season. Is he really that clueless? Is it just
Ego?

Growing up there seemed to be three teams that meant
college football (though I only liked one):

1. Alabama.
2. Notre Dame.
3. Penn State.

Now, Penn State will forever have this stain on them.
I hope they clean house. If they don't control the riots
they'll be looked at even worse, if that's possible.

What is more interesting...(in the Nebraska vs. Penn State game) .....is that the also fired Graham Spanier (Penn State President) used to be the Chancellor of UNL from 91-95...

While exercising this morning, the TV at the fitness club was showing the student protesters at Penn State. So, they love their coach....but what about the sex abuse issue? Just because Joe didn't do it, he's still in the picture... and the administration has to do something to show they are taking this seriously...and get media focus that they ARE doing something...

I think back on USC (Pete Carrol) and Ohio State (Jim Tressel) and Texas Tech (Mike Leach)....I suppose all things are forgotten in time because something bigger (and more scandalous) has occurred... And maybe JoePa will find a place in the pro's.....he's got a few more years left in him.... (Smile)

:shrug::shrug::shrug:There was an interesting conversation on the radio at noon. The discussion was centered around coaching staffs in general, especially those who have worked closely together for years. When in a work environment where you are around the same people for as much as 16 hours a day....you know who's hitting the bottle....who had had what for dinner, etc. The panel discussing the Penn State situation felt that for Joe not to know, was incredible. :shrug::shrug::shrug:

Huskers vs Penn State may be the most bizarre football game ever. Tom Osborne has advised Husker fans NOT to wear red clothes to the game. What is going to happen with the crowd is uncertain and probably has the Penn State police scared to death. It could be real ugly or it could be passive. No one knows, so I will definitely be watching this one from start to finish.

Mike Leach, 50, was fired by Texas Tech in December of 2009 following a dispute over his handling of receiver Adam James. The son of ESPN announcer Craig James, Adam James claimed Leach forced him to sit in a construction closet during practice after suffering a concussion in a game.

Washington State reached an agreement to hire the former Texas Tech coach one day after firing Paul Wulff.

The school announced Wednesday that Leach had agreed in principle to a five-year contract and will be introduced at a press conference next Tuesday.

Financial terms of the contract were not available, but according to a story by CBSSports.com, the deal is for five years and would make Leach the third-highest paid coach in the Pac-12.
