well, in a nutshell, stevie was great but...
security was terrible! Front row in only one section allowed to stage. Section 101 front row was so far off to the side it was partial view. Security hasselled is throughout the show, for standing toward the center rather than directly in front of our seats. The sound system was terrible, and we could hear the security people talking the entire time.
Not sure what everyone else thought, of course I love stevie no matter what, but the Taj sucks as a venue.

I also was in 101, 8 rows back. I somehow managed to cut across section 102 during the Edge intro and i made it up to the 3rd row between 102 and 103 and then the security bastards went ballastic and practically mowed people down and dragged them back to their seats. I managed to sneak in about 10 rows back for the duration of the song, but I was so distracted with how awful security was being, constantly walking up and down the aisle ramming people to get them to move that i lost out on enjoying most of the song. I was screaming mad when Stevie walked the stage because she seemed in such a good mood putting on a ribbon tiara thingy and what ever else she was handed. Ugh..i could have punched those people. Although, unlike the show in NY the other night, I didn't see one person being told to put their cameras away. So I guess with these shows you pick your poison.
Oh, was anyone in the front of 104 or 105? What or who was Stevie talking to just as she was about to do the walk? Seemed like she was pleading with someone. Wonder if it was security or a fan.
I still had a blast and I think Stevie was having a great time. She seemed extra chatty, especially during the band intros. She mentioned how she was a speech major for 5 years yet she still sucked at talking in front of people and when she got to Waddy she was talking about knowing him since the BN days and then how the only people who really know you are those who you knew before you were famous. And at the end of Love Is, which was beautiful by the way, she mentioned the 3 ballads thing, but she also started talking about coming here to AC (maybe this same venue?) after 9/11 and then she started talking about how we need to support the music industry and buy records cause it's really important. She even said something along the lines of "Listen up cause this is Mama talking to you" so it was cute.
Other random tidbits:
I spent $40 on this brick red shirt that says Stevie Nicks Belladonna on it. It's ridiculously small on me but i love it. Going to use it as my inspiration to lose weight so i can wear it when she tours next year.
My camera crapped out on me so I don't have many pictures, possibly a piece of a video. I'll have to check tomorrow. I'm sure many people got great pics cause like I said i didn't see security having an issue with that. At least not where i was standing.
She dedicated Landslide to Vanessa Carlton who was somewhere out there.
I loved Stand Back so much more this time around then when she did it with the Mac last year.
I also really thought she was trying to hit some of those higher notes she sometimes lowers for. So i was happy about that too.
Overall, I had a great time and the friend that i brought with me had very little knowledge of Stevie and I filled her in the whole car ride so now I"ve officially converted her to a fan! Now i really want to go tomorrow night to CT!

Wow, I knew that security was bad, but I didn't realize it was that bad! I too was way over on the side in 105, but by some fluke I slinked past a few checkpoints and ended up in the mass of humanity trying to get to the edge walk. It occurred to me that security could hold back one or two of us but not 25 of us. I will admit that I started pushing people to the point where a number of us got through and to the stage. And that wasn't the end of it. The Gestapo was continuing to kick people out of the front right under Stevie while she was singing. By some grace I remained at the stage for the duration and shook her ungloved hand again. Geez! I feel like I just penetrated Fort Knox!
Otherwise, I think she topped her Turning Stone show. She ran onstage punching the air for "Fall from Grace " and she kept up the intensity by, as mentioned above, going for some notes, as well as kicking the air and almost jogging in place. Perhaps we have those fugly shoes to thank for all of this enhanced mobility! Whatever the case may be, Mama was rocking. And let the record reflect that she herself called herself "Mama." :p

Sounds like Stevie was full of it last night... Quite a difference from what I saw in Verona... Stevie and the band kicked ass but at times it seemed like she was just doing a routine... I don't blame Stevie she seemed happy to be up there... I guess being in AC with a wild crowd makes all the difference...The verona fans should i call them that? Were pretty lame...Stevie's kicking the crap out of Petty's"Wreck Me" and you sit down...I could hear people whinning because i didn't "Sit down"..You should have stayed home...I heard she was wearing a "Flower Crown" did anyone see this(Pictures please)...

She was pleading with the fans to stop pushing and trampling each other in their fight to the stage. It had gotten particularly ugly over there, with people using various measures to get through, such as trying to crawl through the legs of the guards and launching themselves into the air on top of people. The scary thing was that the fans ignored her pleas and at least one person was hurt.
I wouldn't be suprised if Stevie stops doing the Edge Walk one of these days because of those fans who don't know how to treat each other.

Wow that's terrible. After a few mins I said oh well and retreated but I guess some people just were too determined. But it still all roots back to security being total schmos. They were totally unprepared for the stage rush and then freaked.

I really dont understand why Stevie or security only allow fans rush to the stage at a certain time eg: edge walk, isn't that asking for trouble:shrug: why not let the first 3 0r 4 rows make there way to the stage at the start of the show?? then perhaps the crowd might be more reluctant to jump over so many people that are already there..

Agreed. I think an orderly stage rush is definitely possible if they would just allow people through one at a time through the security checkpoint. Instead they poured gasoline on the fire by enraging concertgoers, insisting that only the front row of 103 was allowed to go up; it was kind of like class warfare. :p By the way, when I said I was pushing, it wasn't a sudden, explosive kind of pushing; it was more like a slow, steady build up of pressure. Those who got through on my side were fine and very, very happy.

The Taj house security was okay, but the outside company they contracted, Strike Force (the guys in the yellow shirts) were frightening. What I found disturbing was that in our section, 101, the security guy several times stopped young women who were dancing in place in the aisles, inflated his belly at them, raised his shoulders and looked down at them with an excessively menacing glare.
Their attitude was completely inappropriate for a Stevie Nicks concert. If you feel the same way, I believe the most effective approach would be to write to the Taj and ask for your money back. We didn't pay $100 to encounter such a scary and situationally inappropriate attitude.

"I Remember Mama." I'm trying to recall how that came about--she was talking about how we all need to support music, buy albums, etc, "Listen to your Moma" slipped in there somewhere. I did notice the side visual screens were OFF, so people off to the sides really did NOT have good views of the show, and you can't blame them for wanting to inch more front and center. Security was unusually intrusive- excessively, I think. This was not an out of control crowd by any means. It's a Stevie Nicks audience. Numerous times security was cutting into the show. Maybe Stevie could consider a GA floor section and a lot of this security nonsense would end. Of course she would have to end the Edge walk to do that.
THAT aside, it was a powerful show, started out strong with "Fall From Grace." "Stand Back" was stand out! Stevie easily pulled off "You Wreck Me," as good as Tom can do it- the audience maybe didn't know it as well, so they didn't join in as readily as Tom's audience with "Oooooh," "Yeaaaaa." (She surpasses him on "I Need To Know," in my opinion, and I really like Tom).
In all, it was a solid Stevie Nicks SOLO show! Good to see Darrell Smith on keyboards and Ricky Peterson on organ. Jimmy Paxon is a powerhouse! Is was good to see Taku again. Carlos is "Stevie's Light" in the dark times. Not sure what that's about, but it was kind. Sharon and Lori were great- Stevie seemed to be motioning to them to sing louder at times. Guitarists/Bassist Ortiz, Rios and Wachtel were standing strong. Waddy on Standback and Edge is always great fun!
I'm looking forward to the new album and more Stevie in the set list next round.

I'm so happy. "Fall From Grace" is my favorite song she released this past decade. "Destiny Rules" is right up there, but I suppose it might be too much to ask to develop a segue from "Fall From Grace" to "Destiny Rules" even though I think the latter song is sort of a sequel to "Fall From Grace."

I love Tom Petty, but I agree with you on both counts, especially on her ability to surpass him on "I Need To Know." Even my ex-roommate, who was in no way a Stevie fan, made it a point to tell me she sings it better than Petty does. I mean, dude literally knocked on my bedroom door to tell me that. Whenever I sing "I Need To Know," I always do it a la Stevie.

I just transferred the vids from camera to laptop and OMG, the audio is fantastic !
My camera had focus issues at times though I think due to the brightness of the stage lights, it did not know what to focus on. Anyway, I think you all will enjoy them hopefully once I get them uploaded, will provide links. I think I got almost every song.

Last year Dean was the head of Security for FM,
he made sure that the Local Security knew what the Mac would allow,
it appears that there is no one in charge of Security for Stevie other than the Local Lads,
each individual venue has their own standards, usually they are on the offensive,
you have to read the situation before you make any move,
at Turning Stone I scoped out the situation before, and during the show, and timed my advance to the stage to avoid the surge, with little interference from Security, despite the fact that I am huge,
I dont push, I dont block,
I usually get pushed, &, blocked,
I have made it to the stage 100% of the time when attempted,
at Turning Stone I was in Section 31, Row F, Seats 1, & 2, (great room package deal seats), dead centre on the isle, terrific view, great sound,
but I had to get to the stage to touch those "small ungloved hands", (......have not washed hands yet......)
made it to the stage right in front of Sharon, &, Lori, ("......Hello Ladies........hello G......you again....."),
then when Stevie did the Edge Walk thing, the anticipation was almost too much, watching her approach with no gloves,
thank goodness the H1N1 Pandemic was cancelled,
for all the other fans who were successful in making contact, well done,
Oh, btw, someone, (crew member), told me that Stevie's tour next year will include the Great White North...........(c'mon up y'all),
Hopefully, Security at Foxwoods will be accomodating tonight..........
good luck all,

I agree. I was in 105 all the way at the far end and it was a horrible angle to see her and they didn't even have the screens on at the side of the stage which would have helped a lot. I managed to go to the front for the Edge Walk but it wasn't easy because of the issue you mentioned. I couldn't tell if Stevie was saying Stop to the fans or the security people because I was already past security and at my spot waiting for Stevie's hand but she was clearly upset about whatever was going on. There were 2 women in the seats next to me that were drawing the ire of security repeatedly which was a major distraction. Apparently, they were trying to prevent people from videoing but didn't have a problem with just photos. I think we should let the Taj know they need to improve some things, especially as it pertains to her shows.

Before I begin sharing about the “muddled mess” of Atlantic City, let me begin by giving props to Torri for capturing most of the Verona show – this boot sounds better than the Atlantic City show that I actually attended. Horrible acoustics last night. At first I though it was my section, but it sounds like it was throughout the arena. Did I say horrible? Ok.. still had a really great time and want to give a shout out to section K – good crowd, I was in the front row and no one minded that I stood during most of the show. I was right above the clusterf*ck of the tee shirt stand. Since there was only one stand, could you get enough help? – you know how we Stevie fans need our overpriced shirts – love love the green crystal visions tee. Very surprised to see that and had to wait in line forever to buy one – but I am a patient man.
Love how she opens with “Fall from Grace” although it took me a few to figure it out – bad sound and I had hope they would do some tweaking, but it never really got resolved. I lost Stevie’s voice many times throughout the show. Love that “Outside the Rain” is back.. I loved the rain falling in the background as they played this one..
“..look at my eyes, touch my face.. think baby is there anyone in this whole wide world.. doubt if anyone in this whole wide world.. think anyone in this whole wide word could ever take my place.. I don’t think so..” verona.08.25.2010
Other fond memories – section K singing along on “Landslide,” the energy of “Stand Back” and the Edge walk.. couldn’t see much but it looks like Stevie was given quite a few gifts – loved the tambourine.. btw.. was there a reason the video screens weren’t working? Or was it in sync with the bad sound and over the top security. Stevie mentioned coming back to AC, and hope she plays the Borgato next time – I don’t think I can see another show at the Taj.. one of the worst venues I have been to.
Finally, the closer – Love Is. Simply beautiful.. my favorite part of last night. Simply gorgeous. Thank you Stevie for playing this one and the demo version. Stellar and then some!
Finally, a big thanks to blackcat for dinner and it was good seeing Torri, Regina, and JohnL (and friend) again. Nice meeting Farrah and Julio. I hope everyone makes it home ok.. I know Torri is still on tour.. :wavey:

I really think the audience was feeding off her energy and vice versa. She genuinely seemed to be enjoying herself.
I just got home and I'm already in withdrawal. I must have checked ticketmaster 10 times today for 1 ticket to pop u pfor tonight, but no luck. But it looks like we really are going to get the full-fledged tour next year, so I'm going to start saving my money now.

I was at the show last night as well. I was in the first row, in front of Lori and Sharon. Stevie looked and sounded incredible. I had such a good time at the show and managed to take over 200 pictures and a few videos (including the Edge walk). I have no idea how to post photos on here--can someone give me directions? A lot of my photos came out dark, because of the lighting on stage and my side view, but they are very clear.
Security was crazy. I didn't personally have a bad experience with them, but what did annoy me was the fact that they were walking back and forth ALL night, every 30 seconds, right in front of the stage. They were tall and big and obstructed our view constantly. They were talking loudly and were very rude and inconsiderate, not caring that they were standing in front of people trying to WATCH the concert.
The Edge walk was crazy! My friends and I got up to the corner of the stage as soon as the drum solo started and security was literally linking their arms together to hold back the crowd in the aisle behind us. This was my fourth "Edge Walk," and I've never seen fans SO pushy before at a Stevie Nicks concert. One of my friends was in a wheelchair, and right when Stevie got to us, two people came out of nowhere behind us and pushed so hard to get to Stevie that my friend nearly slammed into the stage. I was so pissed! I pushed back and pointed to her, like "HELLO?!!!" So rude. I personally wasn't concerned about "touching" Stevie, I just wanted my friends to have a chance. Wow. That's all I can say! If "fans" are going to be that aggressive at shows, Stevie needs to re-think parts of the walk. Those pushy fans are going to ruin it for those that are not pushy and wait their turn.
Anyway, all-in-all, we had a pretty good experience. I don't know that I'd want to go back there for a show, as the stage was too small for the way they had the seats set up, but I've definitely had worse experiences this summer at shows. I can't wait to see Stevie next year on her tour!
Oh, and as we were leaving there was a HUGE line of fans that had meet-and-greet tickets. Where the hell did people buy those? I would have given up some of my concerts this summer to buy that! I wish I would have known about it earlier. Did anyone meet Stevie after the show with this pass/ticket?

So sorry to hear about more security BS at this show too! I got the "no pushing" bark too, but I'm tall, and I was moving with many others toward the stage. I actually had to remind this Alex (front row guard at Verona) that Stevie's fans are all about love - he outed himself as ex-military in the conversation ... it made me understand that unfortunately he and others like him will probably be looking for and suspecting terrorist activity the rest of their lives. So sad for them, and us. aAfter all that, I hope your friend was okay!

Fall From Grace from the Atlantic City show. I apologize for the shaky video. It was crazy where I was and people were bumping into me on my left and was trying to adjust the focus in all the craziness. It sounds better on my computer than through YouTube, but the videos get better as the concert progresses. Will be uploading videos more tomorrow when I get back home. Still in Atlantic City.

Oh...and for those of you asking about the mama comment you're in luck..it is just past the 730 mark.
Also, I swear I recognized one of the security schmos who was the leading the great wall of security during the edge walk and I believe I hear someone saying something about being arrested. I mean seriously, 45 seconds from the end of the show you are threatening with that?

My guess is that the outside security company (I saw the name "Strike Force" on the yellow shirts) usually works a different kind of crowd. I called the Taj yesterday -- I'm a TrumpOne member -- to let them know that I've always liked the Trump hotels, but paid $100 to see a Stevie Nicks concert, not to be made to feel like I was at a Fifty Cent or Insane Clown Posse concert. It wasn't the being held back from the stage that bothered me; it was the way that security looked like they were going to chew some of these young women's heads off when all they were doing was dancing in the aisles and not moving forward. Also, the security guy in our section was clearly blocking the second row's view on purpose.
I have contact information for an events manager if anyone else would like to write a letter and document what happened. PM me if you want the name and address.
That being said, "You Wreck Me" was twelve kinds of awesome. :)

I think so, too. Thanks for posting. You can see her pretty good, those boots. ;) Thanks, I needed a Stevie fix. I've never heard Fall From Grace live before; one of my favs from TISL.
Go get 'em Farrah. :blob2: I wasn't too happy with security @ Caesar's when I saw Heart. The one guy said something to me after the song that I was recording (my one song) was over anyway, but security was tell people in the very front of the stage, to sit down. Ann told them to leave them alone, that they weren't bothering anybody!

I got "You Wreck Me" too. That is next on my list to upload. I am still in AC, but leaving soon. So I will try to get these all uploaded in the next couple of days. I got everything but "If Anyone Falls" which is okay. I definitely wanted to save my battery and space on my camera for "Love Is" and was running out of juice at the end but got it all.
Overall, even with zoom and focus issues at times, my camera kicks ass on the audio, so at least we got really good audio from the show. It is hard for me because I am short and if someone passed in front of the camera, it messed up the focus and had to refocus, plus I think the brightness of the stage lights at times started making the focus soft and had to readjust. But I am glad that for the most part, I got complete songs.

That's great!! I can't wait to hear everything again. I still feel like I missed most of EO17 cause of the security debacle, so i am looking forward to seeing/hearing that again.

I just made it home off of the bus, and everyone seems to have summed Atlantic City up perfectly-- incredible show, terrible security. So starting with the bad news first...
My friend and I had tickets in section L way in the back, but at the very beginning of the show, we managed to sneak our way up to the center of row 10. Our security debacle started when we got kicked out of those seats, not because anyone else came for them or because security checked our tickets, but because we made the mistake of dancing too close to the aisle. Now, we were dancing there because we didn't want to block anyone's view, but that's beside the point, apparently. A lovely little pot bellied man in a yellow shirt looked at us like we were three seconds away from running at Nick with daggers until we went back and sat down in our seats. We wanted to be close to Stevie, but more than anything, we wanted to have a good time, so after about thirty seconds of sitting durning Outside the Rain, we got up and left the 10th row.
Since we felt like we were probably a few seconds away from getting kicked out, we decided it was time to head back to our legitimate seats. At section L, we ran into a few women had been told that they could dance as long as they "kept it orderly" and formed a line in front of the section. We asked if we could join. We laughed. We danced. We made new friends.
....For about three songs. Eventually another guard came over and told us to sit down, go stand IN THE VERY BACK CORNER BY THE MERCH STAND and dance, or leave.
We chose the merch stand.
So there we were, the two of us, a group of girls about our age who had been kicked over there was well, a gorgeous couple in their late 40s (blonde woman who sang and danced with us and her husband, if you're on here, you're adorable and I want to be you when I grow up.) and some random stragglers. We weren't causing any trouble. We weren't in anyone's way. We could barely even SEE the show. We just wanted to dance. I swear to God, security came over about every ten minutes and told us that we were TOO SPREAD OUT in our corner. They alloted us about a five by five space for about ten people. It was the absolute most ridiculous bit of asshattery I have ever been privy to at a concert.
Actually, I'm now too pissed off to type the good parts. Thank you, Trump Taj.
(Stevie was amazing though)

I got back late last night from a fantastic weekend in AC. Stevie's concert was totally rocking. Two other posts stated that the sound wasn't good. In my opinion the sound was fantastic. Stevie and her band were tight and confident. Vocally she was strong and hit her notes. Stevie seemed very happy and at ease, almost giddy at a few points, especially during her band intros.Just to add a few things that I haven't seen posted yet. While she was introducing Jimmy, she mentioned that she had a baby picture of him, and that he was a cute baby. When she was introducing Lori & Sharon, she referred to them as chicks, " onto the chicks ". Too funny. Her wails on GDW and EO17 were amazing! She also commented after she sang IAF, that it was a very difficult song to sing, and that if we ever tried it at karaoke we would know. She nailed it by the way. I was amazed that she didn't leave the stage to often, and when she did, it was real quick. My seats weren't close to the stage this time, so I was bummed about the video screens not being utilized for whatever reason. The people in my section were really cool and that also made the concert entertaining. Had a great time in AC. Another great Stevie adventure. Thanx Stevie.

Yes! I forgot about this. You guys have got to hear a bootleg of these introductions--they were straight out of 1983. She must have given this picture of Jimmy a good thirty seconds of stagetime, and the "PRECIOUSSSS!" that she finally wrapped it up with was to.die.for.

Just got home but too tired to post my review and pics. Will do it for sure tomorrow. I did want to mention one thing (not sure if anyone else brought it up) but did you guys who saw the show notice that Stevie was oozing with sexuality? I mean I've seen her what 15 times now and she was definitely in a very flirtatious mood, more so than normal. Just so sensual...the way she moved with the GDW cape and swayed her hips during HSML. I mean I know these are staple moves but something about her Saturday night told me she's getting some and gettin' it good. I mean it could have just been me but I don't think so. You go girl!

Anyone know what was the deal with the first aid guys coming into the orchestra section (within the first five rows, I believe--toward the middle) twice near the last 3rd of the concert?
Anyone know? I kept looking to see if anyone had passed out or was sick, but...it was impossible.
It was a great concert but very distracting with security pacing, running, pushing chairs in the aisles, etc. The Edge Walk was the worst of it but they were doing this from before she even stepped on the stage. Geez, Louise...you'd think we were all a bunch of crackheads with guns in our hands. I was in the second row and made absolutely no attempt to move, but it was still incredibly distracting. You're watching the concert and all of this activity just snapped you right out of it at times.
Anyway, I needed a Stevie/Lindsey/FM break and I took it--so, it was SO nice to see her out there on Saturday. And I'm glad she's acknowledging the music from TISL now. It was a great album and I'm glad she's doing stuff from it.

This was my first time seeing Stevie solo and I loved it! I had a blast. She looked great and it seemed like she was really into the show and having a good time. My seat was on the side and the view was good, but she seemed so far away, lol. They had screens on the sides of the stage but didn't use them. I was at the show alone and made friends with the people next to me and had a great time. There was an older couple in front of us and the guy fell asleep during the show! How in the world could you fall asleep in the middle of a Stevie concert!?

I don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but I'm obsessing right now and I have to say it again: THE COSTUMES AT THE TAJ! She came out at one point in a gorgeous burgundy dress (it may have been the SYW dress, I can't tell) with a blazer over top of it. It was such a contemporary twist on her signature style. I was impressed.

I was at the Taj as well, and Stevie was terrific. It sounds like most of the nuances of the show have been noted already so I won't repeat them, but I would have to agree with those who thought the sound mix was good. I was in the fifth row off to the side, and I could hear her voice clearly. She sounded great and the vocals were clean - no reaching for notes and missing, no cracking or raggedness. She also got really into it physically, crouching and grabbing the mic stand, shaking it around, getting down! I loved it.
My two cents on the whole Edge rush/security bit: this "Strike Force" team assigned to do security was horrible. I have had a couple bad experiences in the past where one or two security guards will be on a power trip, but I have never seen a situation when ALL of them seemed to have something to prove.
From the middle of the fifth row, I had an angle where, if sitting, my line of view would be blocked any time someone stopped at the front of the aisle before it widened into the area in front of the stage. This was the case for pretty much the entirety of my section, and I imagine it was the same for the other aisles as well.
Several times, I saw some ladies go up there and attempt to stand in the aisle, but they were sent back. That isn't too unusual, and I shrugged it off. I was content to wait until Edge of Seventeen to attempt to get close and while I don't begrudge those fans for trying to get closer sooner, I didn't think it was terribly unfair that they were sent back to their seats.
The drum solo for Edge of Seventeen started. I saw a few people moving up, as usual. I looked to the right and left of me - no one was moving. I politely moved to the aisle, just like I was going to make a beer or restroom run, but instead of going back I joined what was now about half a dozen people in the aisle at the front before the area widens. Now remember, this is the spot that blocks others. However, this is also the spot where security chose to "make their stand."
So, instead of us moving to the stage and getting out of people's way, we become an en masse blockage. This was not only happening in my aisle, but all of the aisles. Angry folks, mostly comp ticket olders with no idea what was going on, started shouting at us. One lady even pushed several people violently out of her way. She wasn't a Stevie fan trying to get to the stage; she was someone with a front row seat enraged that we were blocking her. Dang! And so the violence begins...
I had no desire to block anyone and was feeling rather awkward just standing there in the aisle behind everyone, but I thought as our numbers grew that surely the guards would see how foolish it was to keep us plugged up in everyone's way and let people to the stage. They never willingly did so.
Finally, people started getting past and to the stage. I was against the wall there. Still the guards couldn't let it go. They continually shouted at us to go back. One girl in front of me said something like "Well, there's a lot more of us than there are of them, what are they gonna do?" That was the prevailing attititude. So, it became a game of "tidal wave" - keep pushing forward and they give up. This has happened at previous shows I've been to and it's always worked in the past.
Instead, security lost their tempers and pushed back. "Strike Force" started to take it personally - I think they felt it was a poor reflection on them that they weren't able to keep the fans out of the stage area and they were trying everything they could to shove us back, including forming a "human wall" where they showed no compunction about pushing themselves against people to physically force them back. The climbling and crawling Sorceress mentioned were people trying to get past this wall of guards, not past other fans.
One by one, two by two, people started finding ways past these guys, and as more and more made it past them, the guards became more and more frustrated and angry. They alternated between shouting at the people nearest to them to go back (despite the physical impossibility of them doing so with a wave of people behind them) or turning around and haranguing those who were already at the stage (who of course completely ignored them).
Stevie came out, and something else happened, but I'm not sure what. I was making no attempt to go to the stage and touch Stevie's hand, happy to just be closer than I was before against the wall by the stage. However, there was a huge commotion ahead of me and I saw several security guards dragging a large guy, kicking and screaming, from the stage. I speculate that they decided that while they couldn't stop everyone from going to the stage, they could stop this guy, and he didn't like being singled out. If there was more to it, then I hope someone saw it and can inform me.
At this point, Stevie starts motioning towards that area and mouthing "No, don't" and then finally putting her hands together and pleading "Please." I speculate that she saw people fighting security and was attempting to diffuse the situation, but who knows?
Yes, perhaps the Stevie fans were overly aggressive, but I think the real problem was that security completely mishandled the situation. In truth any entity named "Strike Force" should probably NOT be assigned to a freaking Stevie Nicks concert to begin with. The Edge walk is not populated by knife-wielding hoodlums intent on stabbing Stevie to death, after all, and I think the amount of chiffon and lace alone would get that across.
It was an ugly scene that I have to put out of my mind so I can focus on how great the show was, but I wanted to tell everyone what I saw from my spot.
Barring some kind of specific special event I can see nowhere else, I plan to never darken the door of the Taj Mahal venue again.

I agree with your assessment on the Taj venue for this outting, Sodascouts. I've sent in my review to the Nicks Fix and had to include my take on the venue:
This Is NOT A Tour Tour, Atlantic City, NJ!
Love IS!!! Love IS Stevie Nicks and her amazing band that came to visit all of us on the east coast August 27, 2010! The band was as strong as I have ever heard it, and Stevie was ON FIRE. I loved having the original ladies, Sharon & Lori, on stage full time, backing her Stevieness all the way— with the electrical Waddy Wachtel & his power charged band torching the venue with their sizzling heat!
Details on the music: First out, “Fall From Grace"—and what a powerhouse opening it was! Stevie’s voice came ROARING across the venue, and I knew we were in for a great night! I loved Stevie’s cover of Tom Petty's "You Wreck Me!" Stevie is a heartbreaker! She can do any Tom Petty songs as far as I'm concerned. “Gold Dust Woman”—that song can never leave the set list. Baby, baby, baby! Thank you for the long "How Still My Love.” When I watch you all up there, I have such a joy in my heart and feel so PROUD of ALL of YOU. I love Darrell Smith, and what he adds to “Edge of Seventeen.” I hope he somehow knows what he contributes to the whole sound, along with the brilliance of Stevie, Sharon and Waddy together. You are ALL so amazing. Jimmy Paxon on drums is KILLER, and it’s cool to see Taku Hirano in the mix (Lenny Castro was last seen backing the Lopez TV show band)—these guys are all highly sought after musicians, and Stevie brings them along! Jazzman Ricky Peterson delivered the SOUL, propelling our Soul Sister Stevie throughout the performance! The Men of String: Al Ortiz, Carlos Rios and my special favorite and friend, legendary Waddy Wachtel, weaved the show together, note by note. Landslide was just beautiful—and where we learned Vanessa Carlton was among us in the audience during its dedication. “Stand BACK” blew the ROOF off the TAJ! There is NOTHING like being there LIVE! There is some crazy energy exchange going on, because the fans were just as driven as this band!
We Wild Hearts love the stories Stevie tells when she is visiting us. I personally enjoy the introductions, even as some band members seem to be squirming in place—worried about what Stevie will leak out about them next! You deserve the ALL accolades Stevie gives. You are lucky Stevie wasn’t actually carrying your baby pictures—I suspect she would have shown them to all of us! It was moving when Stevie recalled the last time we gathered at the Taj, on September 15, 2001. I was there with many of the same people in tonight’s gathering—we will never forget how special that show that was. (Donald Trump, himself, came to the show that night!) Stevie referred to the USA flag hanging in the venue, and how it affected her—I saw a lot of heads turning and nodding in remembrance. “In your darkest hour, have you ever heard me sing?” Yes, we have. “Do you love me?” Yes we do. Love IS!
Of course no Stevie Talk was as anticipated as being updated on the new album. We’ve read the interviews—some weasel told Stevie to NOT “waste time” writing and putting out a new album since too many fans steal artists work via the “evil internet.” Check the facts: Stevie last album debuted at #5 in the Age of the Internet. Stevie’s fans will be there IN FORCE when this “Album that is not Quite an Album Yet” comes out!
[Speaking of “FORCE” Taj needs to reconsider its use of “Strike Force” linebackers at a Stevie Nicks gathering. A “Refrigerator Perry”/"Terminator" prototype was blocking some of the prime front row seats and was literally badgering the fans. We come in peace. Taj also needs to get its side screens in operation—entire sides of the venue could not see what was happening on the front of the stage! This venue is not comprised of graded sloping stadium seats. My friend Keith could not see—let along barely hear—the show in a seat right near the shirt vendors! Many came a distance to see Stevie—not just intra-state: I met a couple from Ireland!]
In closing, thank you, Stevie, for closing out this summer, and making it special for us! Thank you for “Love IS!” Thank you, in advance, for the new album! And nothing else matters! love, blackcat
What I want to mention here, is how great it was to meet up with a good number of old Ledge 3 buddies from back in the day. Not everyone was there this time—this tour was way too short, but March 1, 2010 is coming.

Yes, she did change into the burgundy dress for EO17 only. But for some reason it looks different than the SYW dress to me; it wasn't as rouched. And it was this gauzy linen material that seemed almost a little translucent up close. Lots of detail in the draping and pleating on that one. Oddly enough, she slipped right back into the black dress in time for "Rock and Roll."

I'm so sorry so many of you had horrible experiences with security! It's kind of funny what happened to me (and lucky). I ran into one of my lil' sis' at the show and we went into the venue very early. We basically hung out with security from the Taj guys for nearly an hour and she really buttered them up and so forth. As I mentioned my seat was amazing (3rd row center aisle seat) so I had no problem with staying put during most of the show. They're were people standing behind me in the aisles that had seats way back and I tried to be as nice as I could with letting them stay until they started cramping my style and then I had to give the "you gotta move outta my space" look since I did have the right to be in my seat without being pushed and swarmed with people. I stood 95% of the concert - danced and sang along as I always do and only had one minor problem when a woman came up to me and said "Can I pay you to move over like 1 inch since my 80 year old mother is here and can't see?" which of course I obliged.
When they finally started to let the first couple of rows up and everyone made a mad dash for the stage my lil' sis' grabbed me and we climbed over the 2 rows of chairs in front of us without anyone noticing and made it up there to the stage with no problem. Right after we got there the mean security guys started pushing everyone back and no one was aloud to come to the front again till' Edge which is when the chaos really began. I didn't see a lot of what was going on since I was in the front and watching Stevie but I heard the madness behind me. One girl behind me was fighting with a security guard and I seriously thought they would come to blows but didn't thankfully. She ended up screaming at him and crying her poor little heart out over Stevie and threatened to have the security guy fired. The whole situation was scary and dangerous - quite different from my experience in Santa Barbara but also better since I grabbed Stevie's hand twice and was so far up for the whole show!
I'm not going to go into a full review of the show since so many of you have done such a wonderful job but all I have to say is it was worth it to fly to the east coast just to have her sing "Love Is" to us....and yes Stevie - Love is YOU!

Here is a short clip I took of "Love Is" from waaaaay back in Section K - boohoo. The picture quality is not great but the sound is good. I do have a long clip of Edge of 17 I may attempt to upload on Youtube.
I loved this show a lot. I had anxiety about the seat location as I was not able to upgrade to a close seat on the floor. Like many of you who are big fans, I always want to be close enough for the Edge walk. I really wanted to be able to see her face but since the screens were not working and I was far from the stage, that wasn't an option.
The "Strike Force" team was nowhere near my section. Apparently they were all on the floor hassling the fans in the front rows. A friend of mine was in the first row and was nearly trampled by some overeager fans. One stepped hard on her foot. She was limping out of the venue in pain when the show was over.

Somebody got video of the edge walk. Right at the start is where you can see Stevie and her guy shaking their hands and stevie in her "pleading" hand gesture. Luckily she got a hat right after that too make it all better! :D

She wore burgundy during the UK dates with FM last year. Not sure if it was the same dress though
This red dress in AC is the same one from the Unleashed tour... it's identical to the black one and the white one she's worn... She's just not wearing the little short matching jacket thing with sparkly sleeves that also looks kind of like a corset.

Here is a little clip from the band intros, not the best quality, but you can get a feeling of what her mood was like.

Oh & yeah, they want to make AC a family town.
And with all the problems with security @ the Taj, if she comes back to AC, I hope she goes back to The Borgota.

My batteries on my camera were going -- stupid me forgot to change them -- so my pictures are not clear at all. However, 2 of them were only half blurry and they look like something someone would try to attempt with photoshop.

I actually am really loving this second picture. If only it were tiny bit crisper. Might try to play around with it to see if i can improve it a little without losing the soft and blurry integrity.
Ugh. The same thing happened to me. Those batteries don't last long at all. I'm pissed.

Hi all.this is my second stop on this minitour.I had a blast at this show .I met some nice people at this show.Stevie was again awesome. Excellent sound that night. The place reminds me of my highschool gym the way it looks, couple of other people said the place stinks.I'm shocked that Donald has a place thats not fancy as the Borgata.I thought it was ok.Thanks to lax security in my area I maxed my cameras sd card out with 100's of photos and video.I will have to upload later to share.I love the song set list I'm getting use to the cover tunes and like them even better. After the show I picked up my merchandise which I was going to do at the Turning Stone wednesday nite, but like a dumbass I forgot to activate my creditcard.as I was waiting in line ,I met a lady which she goes back to the WWD tour,She said she was at the HBO Concert also At the RAL Red Rocks taping too.It was nice talking to her and her husband.ok outside the arena in the lobby after I went to the little boys room I happen to bump into Sharon Celani as she was talking
to a girl in a wheelchair, I got a chance to say hi to Sharon.Wow shes beautiful in person.Ok thanks for sharing the audio/videos amd the great photos of this show.

Thanks everyone for all the posts! I'm still pissed over not being able to go -- got the damn flu in AUGUST?!?! Who gets the flu in August?!
I tried to give away my tickets, but I waited too long (was hoping for a miracle and then I could feel better enough to go). Guess I'll just have to wait until next year -- and hopefully it won't be at the Taj (or at least with new security, LOL!).

there is a guy with one of the girls in those photos from the liteFM website in the previous post, who was a pain the entire show....sitting on half of my friend's seat, complaining constantly, bringing water to the girl, asking to move b/c he was too hot, etc. Didn't help the situation!

this is just what i put on the nicksfix.
**** and uhm, i was the girl who kept getting moved in the first row. i legit prbly got to sit in every seat in the first row, center stage xD stooopid security! ****
So iv'e been waiting for this concert ever since my parents bought me the tickets. I had never been that close before, So floor row 14 was amazing! I got at the Taj around 6:00pm & Met up with my friends Vicky & Lindsay. My mom was like EAT! & I couldn't eat, so we waited for doors to open for about 35 minutes. & WHO WALKS BY US? Waddy!!! OMG, all three of us screamed his name. He just smiled & walked into the area. When the doors finally opened, I tried to see where my seat was, & such. Then Somehow all three of us were talking to some, 4/5 security guards. & the one guy was like since this is your birthday gift & your sitting not so close to the stage, I’ll let you go up. But before that, The secuirty brought out there Manager-ish guy & He took the letter that took me forever to write, backstage to Stevie, SOO i know for a fact she got it (and i cried alot for him doing that) ? Anywho ; The concert started ….. Stevie was amazing. Fall From Grace.... I have no words to describe. I've never heard her sound better. I was on my tippy toes trying to see Stevie because this guy was blocking my view. But I refused to sit down. Especially to Outside The Rain, I saw her do it once before but I was little & I didn't remember it.Then after Gold Dust Woman (A M A Z I N G), one of the security guards pulled me outta my seat and brought me FIRST ROW, CENTER STAGE, RIGHT IN FRONT OF STEVIE. I practically died. When I got up there I saw Lori doing her thing, & I waved & She waved back & Smilied :) If Anyone Falls came on and I practically fainted. I tried to prepare myself for this concert by watching Live In Chicago over and over and over, But that didn't help. It was so much more incredible. So im having a blast. & Then I realized the lady who was sitting next to Lindsay passed out & she was taken out of the arena. I mean how do you do that at a Stevie concert?! Then I guess the person who ‘left’ (whose seat i took) came back, So then I sat w/ Lindsay, Who was row three, centered. Still amazing!! So How Still My Love started and OH MY GOSH, was it amazing. I was like about to fall down it was so awesome! & Then Once Waddy started Edge Of Seventeen, EVERYONE tried, to get up to the stage. The security was HORRIBLE. They were rude and mean and way out of line. So I was afraid I wasn’t going to get out because there were SOO many people crowded in the isles, and security was trying to make them move. But apparently they didn't get the memo that, us Stevie fans will, trample you to get to the stage. No-one was moving & I was blocked in. So I pulled up my dress *so lady like* and hoped over two rows of chairs to get to the stage. (just in time) Then Stevie came out & Did her thing, You know the amazing breathing-taking singing thing she does? She did that. & I was in front of Waddy fooling around with him, saying i love you & such. Then He would start laughing. ….. Then came the edge walk :D Stevie finally got to me & Held both of my hands and called me “Sweet Heart” & at that point I died. And the flower crown someone made for her, one of the flowers fell from her and landed right in front of me. At the end of the song I cried (of course). So Rock & Roll started. I was so excited. I was jumping up and down like crazy. My excitement level was like on a million. & It came to middle of the song, and Waddy through his guitar pick, & I was so bummed. I really wanted it. I put my hands out for Waddy and did a sad face, & he knew exactly what I wanted…. And he walked over to me, bent down & Put his last guitar pick for the night! Then Love Is started, Talk about the most beautiful things I've ever seen in my entire life. It was amazing. & Of course I cried again. Stevie all together was outstanding. It was the best concert of my life, and my favorite Stevie concert. She was very chatty too! WHICH WAS AWESOME! Her talking is just the best. If Stevie ever stopped singing, She should def. have her own talk show. Anywho, BOYOHBOY! Basically I had THE best time of my life!!! ? I love you Stevie!

Hi!!! Okay what happpened was some drunk lady who was sitting next to my sister passed out Drunk.... lol it worked out good for me, because security put me in her seat. its a terrible way of thinking, but who the hell passes out drunk at a stevie show. C'MON NOW.
