Peter Green & Friends were back in the West Country for the third time within 9 months and I'm beginning to feel spoilt!
I thought the Moles club event was something special (which it was) but to me the performance at the Cheese & Grain takes some beating.
This is a much bigger venue which was packed out with a very appreciative audience who gave a very warm welcome.
Hopefully the videos speak for themselves and here is the first one of many that are currently uploading...

Have a look at this last one from the same (great) source:

Notice at the end - PG is actually responding to the audience after a very slow and laid back (and somehow sad) version of Black Magic Woman!!!
Can anyone hear what is being said at the beginning?
And A Rainy Night In Georgia:

He puts more into his singing these days.

Thanks a lot TQ0011, you made an old moose very happy. These two songs are my favourite PG's at the moment. Isn't he just looking happier and happier with himself?

Ms Moose you are welcome, and I agree he does seem to be happier - lots of smiles throughout the evening...
.... and here is another video

You asked a question above about what was being said at the front of this clip - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMJ1yv2xVCM
This is what I believe it was all about trying to piece it all together:
At some point before this song, PG & MD were talking about their upcoming break (before Italy) and going Fishing and to the Fish shop (meaning Fishing Tackle / Gear shop). At the intro to this clip PG, (being comical), was talking about going to the Fish (& Chip) shop to eat "soft roe" hence why he then opens in response to "aye" from MD with "soft roes yeh you get in Fish" etc.
In case you may be wondering, "soft roes" are a Fish & Chip shop "delicacy" over here, usually called Cod Roe, and served in batter - hope that makes some sort of sense - Cod Roe is actually one of my favourites !

BMW these days is much more like the Santana version than the F Mac one. I think I actually prefer this one to the original

We'll forgive your excellent fortune, since you're so kindly sharing your spoilage with us!
I was thrilled to see/hear A Rainy Night In Georgia. IMO it's one of the most beautiful songs ever, and one of my fave fave fave fave songs from my way-back-when days. The version I remember is Brook Benton's, and I listened to that thing over and over and over.
Has this song been part of Peter's shows prior to this? As his voice ages, it becomes the perfect vehicle for songs like this. And of course the guitar tone is, as someone else said, sublime. I could listen to this clip all day (and I probably will...)
Thank you!

Really a reply to your first post on this thread: Yes all these videos speak for themselves. They are really good. The film is well taken, and the sound is good. Thank you for that. PG and Band is in great form - and they have taken away PG's lyrics sheet away from him and he is doing well without it. :)
Thanks for the explanation. I didn't know about the name cod-roe, even though I have eaten my way through heaps of fish and chips having lived in England for four years.
