Courtney has no more use for Love, she tells England’s NME magazine (via the BBC).

The Hole frontwoman, whose Nobody’s Daughter arrives this week, says definitively, “Courtney Love is dead. We’ve all decided we don’t like her any more.”

“We love her when she goes onstage,” she continues,” but I don’t need her in the rest of my life. The name Courtney Love is a way to oppress me.” Instead, she will now go by her given name, Courtney Michelle Harrison.

And she doesn’t want to talk about Kurt anymore, either. “I am not his spokesperson on Earth. I don’t know what he’d be like now, he could be into society girls, he could be into fat girls, he could be homosexual. We don’t know, he died at 27.”

UPDATE: A spokesperson tells MTV that the name-change sentiment was taken “100 percent out of context” by NME (in which the quote runs verbatim). “She’s not changing her name,” her rep continues, “unless it’s to ‘Courtney Love Mellencamp’ or ‘Big Baby Jesus.’”

This idiot needs to stop bad mouthing Kurt in order to promote her new music. Plus she has a daughter with this man. Doesn't she realize the way these words could harm her kid? Probably not, and words like these could be one of the reasons a Judge decided she shouldn't have custody of Frances Bean.

i feel so bad for her kid~ & don't let me go into kurt's death~ i don't always feel it's what it seems~ there was a very intriguing docu out on her awhile back & it leaves me to question ALOT of things concerning her~

also ever since she appeared however albeit briefly in the movie 'sid & nancy', i think she seriously considers her & kurt the modern day version~

& tho i know ozzy is the poster child for why not to do drugs, i always believed sharon osbourne when she said courtney got her son jack hooked on oxy's~ during one of the final seasons of 'the osbourne's', jack was hanging around courtney & an underage girl, wasted the whole time~

Courtney Love claims she slept with Gavin Rossdale even though he was with Gwen Stefani.

On "The Howard Stern Show" on Sirius XM Radio Monday, the Hole rocker, 45, said she had a "vision of marrying Gavin Rossdale one time ... We were like, 'Let's go spend our rock star money!'"

During their eight months together, "we had a really good time ..." she said. "He was lovely."

She said she took heat because many thought Rossdale, 44, was too much like her ex, late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

"Everyone gave me so much s--- because Gavin sounded like a lot like Kurt...." Love said. "But man, he was such an Adonis in his day! He got good in bed ... something happened. Maybe Gwen taught him, for all I know."

Stern then asked her, "You were [having sex] him while he was with Gwen Stefani?"

Yes," Love replied. "She does know."

Stern continued: "You mean he was having sex with you while he was with her?"

"Everyone ... yeah ... and a few other people," Love said. "We didn't have a lot of pressure on each other, but we did like each other quite a bit."

Rossdale has yet to comment on Love's claims.

This isn't the first time Rossdale has been in a scandal.

In 2004, DNA tests revealed that he had a secret lovechild. Stefani, 40, was said to be "devastated."

The two, who wed in 2002, have two sons together: Kingston, almost 4, and Zuma, 1 1/2

now i have to disagree~ are you implying his beating of her was a publicity stunt so she could sell records?~ when chris's abuse of her broke, it was that beating, the one before the grammy's that people first heard of this~ maybe not those close to her, but the fans & the rest of the world~ i doubt that is how she wants to be known~

No Jill, I'm not saying the beating was staged. I'm saying Rhianna had nothing to say about it publicly until she was doing press for her new release.

I really think Courtney could care less how many records she sells. She knows that Nobody's Daughter is not going to go platinum...even though it should, it is that good!!!!

Seems to me like Courtney is just wanting to get it out there. Recently her and Billy Corgan had a pretty huge fight via Twitter. She has always been in the news, why is she just now doing it for publicity?
