View Full Version : Help with converting audio from Youtube please...
Hi there,
A while ago someone posted a link and instructions for how to convert the audio content of clips on Youtube, which I downloaded and used at the time. I have since lost this information and so wondered if that someone, or anyone, could possibly re-post the details?
Thanks in advance.
Regards, Phil :]

Dirpy.com
You just enter the URL of the you tube video and voila!!
I think Miranda posted this awhile back...it's become my new best friend.

I checked that out- seems cool. But how big are the files? I was downloading a song, and it got up to 2.3 MB before I stopped.

I use this one - http://www.video2mp3.net/.
It doesn't have a huge number of video websites that you can download mp3s from but theres a few along with Youtube. Hope that helps! :)

yep, i use dirpy.com.....there's no limit
onlinevideoconverter.com is great, though. You can convert to any format - video, mp3, mp4, etc.
Thank you Amlyn and also to the others who have helped me out on this - cheers! I appreciate this.

I know that this thread is over, but I have to mention that really cool thing called Vdownloader. it converts absolutely everything. You should try this.

Hi, I'm having trouble locating the URL for this Youtube clip:-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAX2NF2zByc
From memory, there used to be info to the right of the clip but I can't seem to find it anymore. Does anyone know where I can find it these days?

I think the link you posted is the url?
Sorry, yes the link is the URL but when I copy into the converter, it is not recognised. I thought that there was another link that used to be situated to the right of the Youtube clip but I can't seem to find it for this particular clip. Do you know what I mean or am I just not making sense? Sorry I am kind of ignorant of the process.
For example, what should I be copying in order to rip the audio from the following Youtube links?:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CO2Tq3JodRs&feature=related
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAX2NF2zByc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEZ3t2EZVxs
These all just worked for me using the Video2mp3 site - thanks for everyone's help.

I might be a little late / irrelevant, but, there's a great free programme out there called Studio Manager, lets you rip from youtube and has media converters and everything, it's wonderful. It's how I changed all the FLAC files from ThrownDown to MP3
