Blasphemy! I actually thought it was easily their best album since the 70's. But it was definitely Nancy's album, and I think "I Need the Rain" is the finest thing she has ever done; that song haunts me for some reason. Otherwise it rocks harder than any other Heart album and it is full of catchy riffs and melodies. The thing that has always bugged me about Heart albums is that they are so chock full of filler, bookended by a couple of killer singles/radio hits. On Jupiters Darling, I can count maybe two songs, e.g., "Vainglorious," that fit this mould. Otherwise, the album is solid, even if it doesn't contain something on the level of "Crazy on You" or "Barracuda."

Well i will say the album was much more of a return to form for them... getting away from that 80s/early 90s sound they had that felt more formulaic (even though I enjoyed their 80s stuff). Jupiter's Darling, for me, felt like an album that was resting on its laurels so to speak. Kinda like Say You Will.

I liked Jupiter's Darling OK, but it's not their best effort. Still excited to hear new material from them though!

I'd be more excited if they bothered to remember that they have some fans in countries other than the US!

You won't regret it Lee. They put on a good show. Great vocals, heaps of energy, and a crowd vibe that's always cruisy.

I'll get it when it comes out. Can you believe that I've liked Heart's music for years, but all I have is Jupiter's Darling? Well, not anymore, because I got on iTunes over the weekend & bought their Greatest Hits from 1985 to 1995 for $7.99. And I'm really enjoying it. I can not wait to see them in August. :blob1:
