View Full Version : What happens to old Threads?

I'm sorry to ask such a general question that's probably answered SOMEWHERE on this site, this thread can be deleted when answered. When I first started using this site, there were some threads that no longer appear. It's always been just 2 pages of threads. Is that the limit? What happens to the older threads? Are they archived somewhere? There were threads "Running Through The Garden" and "Smile At You". Did they fall off because discussion stopped on them?

Once again I'm sorry for asking a general question here, but being new and trying to expand my Stevie knowledge as much as possible I'm interested in older posts.

there should never be an apology for asking questions :)

at the bottom of the screen where it says DISPLAY OPTION the default settings are to threads in the last 2 weeks. Just switch that to "THE BEGINNING" and you'll have all threads in chronological order! Hope this helps!

I did NOT know that; I thought the moderators had decided to limit it to 2 pages so that we didn't take up too much space on whatever server is being used for this - thought it might be less expensive that way or something.

Also, at the bottom of the page it says 'Archive'. You can use this to look through years of threads.

What happens to old threadds?
They are generally reborn one to two years later, & the more careless ledgies reply to them all over again.

i HATE when people bring up OLD OLD threads
i get all excited
and i look back and find the posts are FIVE years old or something
and then im angry i got all excited about "new" discussion :o :laugh:
