Boston has been made of ick the past four days. Well, for the past month, really. We've had almost 14 inches of rain in March.
Today, there's a ton of cloud cover, and it feels like it's in the high 40s. Tomorrow, though, oh tomorrow, I learn what the sun feels like again.

It's a warm and sunny day here in Rhode Island. We needed this after all of the record breaking flooding we had earlier in the week. I found this video of the flooding in the Eagle Square section of Providence. I thankfully don't live here but I do sometimes cut through the shopping plaza and go to that market after work.
We have had more flooding in Cranston and Warwick and the Warwick Mall was completely flooded and they don't know when that will reopen.

Do they not have those in NZ? Hell I didn't leave the country and still had to give up some things lol. Down here in FL I can't find a Frisches Big Boy or a Culvers  or a decent cheese coney from like Goldstar Chili or Skyline both. I guess Chili and coneys were a Cincinnati area thing.

The closest "coney" you're going to find in Florida is from Sonic.
No they don't have Applebees, or generally any "American" eateries. We have Burger King, KFC, McDonalds... and Denny's (one that i know of)... there's also one Wendy's (but that's up in Auckland).

Luckily we have every one of those here. And a Sonic too, which surprised me. I think I saw a Dairy Queen either in Sarasota or Venice, one. But nowhere else yet around here. I like DQ, especially in summer. They have a Kilwin's ice cream parlor, I've seen one in St. Armands Circle in Sarasota and one in Venice but I've yet to eat anything from there but the place is always busy so it must be good.

I've been in New Orleans the past few days, and haven't seen the sun since I left the Carolinas. It's been darkly overcast, misty, and rainy the entire time. The humidity down here is like nothing I've ever experienced. I only thought I knew what humidity was. It's been in the 70s and 80s though, so at least it hasn't been hot. I now understand what Anne Rice means by the following quote:

20 minutes ago a "rope tornado" was sited near Yukon. Funny, yesterday the temp was 58, today it is only 94 - Typical Oklahoma weather.
Edit: Tornado has crossed "Lindsey" street in Norman..."Isnt that weird?"

I wouldn't like a cooler, grey climate. I moved from Ohio because the weather sucked more and more it seemed and didn't feel like you had any summer before it was winter again once you turned around. So now I tolerate the humid South and suck it up. Thank gawd for pools and air conditioning. The Gulf here is beautiful, but it is 87 degrees and feels like bath water during the summer. That will feel nice tho when you're still swimming in December. (the diehards swim all year)

I remember Ohio last July, all it did was rain that entire month and dreary cool temps. It was like where the hell was summer? I mean Ohio over all wasn't the worst place to live as far as weather, we really never got much snow in winter, maybe the occasional snowstorm or two, but I got tired of the long cold grey months all winter, and do NOT miss that!
