She looks different. Not sure what it is, but something's changed.
It looks like she forgot to put her teeth in. No, I don't think she has false teeth, it just looks like it here.

If you're referring to the jowls, I think there is nothing new there. Mama's had them for at least the past twenty years or so. But heavy-duty stage makeup has done wonders for them. Otherwise she looks bright-eyed and all-together.
But I do have to admit that she looks a bit rounder than usual... and under the sheer top you can see that her arms are a bit... er, thick. And I have to admit that I'm a bit disappointed to see her going to a steak restaurant. It just seems that considering her age and her family history of heart disease, steak should be the one thing she avoids.

I'm sure they have fish on the menu also - so I wouldn't worry. ;)
She looks good - I just wish she was smiling when they were taken. Anyone notice Sharon in the background?

I agree with the blogger's comment, those aviatorglasses don't do her any favours, otherwise she looks pretty good, not amazing or spectaculair but she's having dinner with friends and not doing promotional stuff or performing on stage.
she looks pissed off in these pics like "stop taking my picture I just want a f**n' steak"
she looks like she hasnt got much makeup on - that's all.

She seemed to say it in a joking way, not omg I'm too old just please leave me alone, but more along the lines of hahaha wtf are you guys doing? Don't you know I'm way too old for people to care that I'm going to eat???? But I must say should looks fine in the video, the pictures just caught her in awkward positions that made her look bad. Lindsay Lohan as Stevie Nicks in an upcoming movie? Lindsay's trying to make it happen!
She's been inquiring about buying the rights to Nicks' story and has admitted she'll spend everything she has to star in the movie based on her life. Lohan even went as far as to stalk out the Fleetwood Mac singer at a restaurant this week and beg her to sign the deal. While Nicks was reportedly very polite, witnesses say as soon as Lindsay was escorted out of the restaurant by personnel, Stevie's could be heard saying "Over my dead body!"
On a better note for Lindsanity, Tina Fey has been speaking out publicly about her Mean Girls co-star... and has very nice things to say:
"Lindsay was 17 when she did 'Mean Girls' and she was brilliant. But to have success and money at that age has got to be overwhelming. No-one tells you, 'No', and I definitely wouldn't want that for my child. But Lindsay was a lovely girl. Very smart and very funny - and I hold out hope that we'll see some really good work from her again."

You really think so? If so, what part is she supposed to be playing?
I always remember Brian's story about her. Where he stops Stevie to talk to her, and Karen tries to sort of jerk her away. Stevie says "I can say hi!", in response. I believe this was at the Arizona Biltmore, Brian? Or I could just be pulling that out of thin air, I don't know.
And then there was the whole Destiny Rules thing. Leave it to Karen to involve attorneys and to sit silent in a fight that she essentially orchestrated.
I know that she must be a pit bull in everyday life for Stevie, much like Waddy must be on stage.
But, she sucks. Karen just sucks.

I didn't take it quite so seriously, but now I understand what you are saying.
I'm sure that Karen's "part" - her role/job is to keep Stevie on schedule, keep her from being bothered, and to protect her in essence. Sure, it's hard for fans when they just want to say 'hi' and even the celebrity in question may feel like it's ok - but usually that opens the door for a ton more people who will see it and then they will want a piece of time themselves...before you know it the assistant's schedule is gone all to hell and the celebrity - if they care (like I would like to think Stevie would) - ends up leaving people she didn't have time to speak to etc., and it would make her feel bad for doing that. So, the assistant will have to deal with a whole other set of circumstances for the rest of the day/evening and maybe the next day just because there was a fan who approached and she stopped.
I have read of a lot of negative experiences with Karen though (in fact, those remind me of comments about Kristen Buckingham .... ), so I'm not taking up for her per se. Just seeing the duties of her job in this setting.
As for DR - I hope Karen was off in another room straightening that hot mess out while Lindsey and Stevie were struggling to overcome their listening disabilities and working on their communication skills.

And then there was the whole Destiny Rules thing. Leave it to Karen to involve attorneys and to sit silent in a fight that she essentially orchestrated.
I may have a fundamental misunderstanding about that whole incident... but I thought attorneys pretty much are involved every step of the way in big rock groups like FM? It all has to do with copyrights, who gets what sized cut of the pie, et al. It wasn't Karen involving attorneys unnecessarily... just seems like part of the process to me.
Karen is essentially there to be Stevie's third eye and guard. She has to do all the nasty stuff, and say all the nasty stuff that needs to be done. She has to be the bad person so people don't think Stevie herself is. Stevie can't talk to every person she sees when she's out, or she'd probably never get to where she's going. Karen probably also keeps Stevie shuffling along when she's in public because she wants to limit the amount of time a crazed fan could be around her. I'm sure Stevie made it very clear to her when she hired Karen that she didn't want to end up like John Lennon.

I think we will have to wait a few years like after destiny rules to hear the truth about the effects of the tour on her. I think from watching 3 shows during this tour that this whole affair was exhausting. she moved around alot of the shows like she was 75,though she had her moments mind you! It just seems to much for her to tour like this.. For a woman with epstein- barrs this tour schedule was absurd.

Hey, I'm pretty sure I have arthritis and I'm not even half her age! That's no excuse! YOU GET IN THE KITCHEN AND KNIT ME A PIE, STEVIE NICKS. RIGHT NOW.
But it's okay. Stevie will always be Stevie, even if she looks different than she once did, or sounds different than she once did. Even if she decides to stop recording or performing (your-deity-of-choice forbid, of course). So cheer up, emo kid!
Thank you so much for saying that! It's just what I needed to hear :xoxo:.

Unfortunatley I can't watch the video right now, as I've been abusing my download limit lately. However, Stevie was probably elusive for a reason. Lily Allen doesn't call them 'Ratzi's for nothing.
The title of this thread always gives me a fantastic mental image of a crowd of Ledgie's in face paint and Khaki hiding in the bushes as Stevie twirls in, sings a line of a demo *ahem erry budy loves you* and twirls off again. And we furiously scribble in velvet bound notebooks

Put her in her grave already why dontcha! That just sounds so wrong on so many levels. I suppose you could tell me that the truth hurts but that doesn't mean we have to acknowledge it lol. And what else do you want her to do? Needlepoint?
:D needlepoint would be great,so few women know how to sew anymore and she would be great in the fashion world. But you took my post wrong, i just think this tour and this schedule is bad for her health, it would be for alot of people in their 60s but especially with someone who had been diagnosed with epstein barr. she has said she really would love to be doing something else at this point.
I think there is alot of MAC political stuff going on during these tours with promotions, but just like after destiny rules, we will hear the truth after this tour has been over for awhile. I have a feeling this was not the happiest experience for her , I just know she looks tired alot on stage.
I really would love to see her go into more film music, into fashion, make that rhiannon film, write memoirs, record more, there is justso much she could be doing other than this year and half grueling tour.
she is so hip right now too,its a shame she is always on the road and not capitalizing on her hip standing. she could be a very rich woman with the right business decisions.

Agreed! I don't want her to throw in the towel for touring completely, but jeeeeze, she has toured a lot lately and I doubt it is good for her physically. She should take a break from the big long tours, and work on some of the projects she wants to do, and maybe do some smaller tours along the way.

I definitely agree. Maybe she's touring a lot so she can rake in the dough while she's physically capable... then she'll do all these other projects she's always talked about (various albums, films, books, etc). After all, she makes NO money off albums these days, but she still makes plenty of cash touring! Hearing she's recording with Dave Stewart at the moment is a good sign to me we'll see some sort of new Stevieness at some point in the future. It's anyone's guess what form that will eventually take, much less when we'll actually see it. But I'm encouraged she's writing and recording so quickly after finishing a yearlong tour with her famous frenemies!

Sorry guys, I'm a bit emo today but I have been thinking about these pictures often since they were posted and for some reason they are really disturbing to me. I guess I really am in denial about the fact that she's getting old. I mean we all are, it's part of life right? I suppose I put her up on this pedestal and sometimes do forget that she is a real person. I want to believe that she will go on forever exactly as she is, frozen in time but that's just not reality :distress:.
Now now, SS, chin up, this will pass, she'll be able to pull it together! It's not all that bad, she was goin' out for a steak and looked like Hell, or looked human, whichever :)
When she's up on the stage, with the lighting, makeup, hair and skin perfect, in her uniform, she'll still closely-enough resemble the illusion she still mostly holds onto.
Older, sure. But MizNicks still can really pull herself together, and when she does, she has that ageless star quality you can't bottle. She simply didn't get herself together before going to the restaurant, and wore unflattering clothing. Chalk it up to an off day. I think many of us when we are well-rested, can look really young and almost as good as we ever did, but miss a night's sleep, or be upset (or too hungry and someone's there snappin your pic!) and anyone can look their worst. She was having an off day and it showed in her face, and her hair probably hasn't been touched-up much since she got off the endless Mac tour about 80 days ago.
The total Stevieness of her look will return.

:
she is so hip right now too,its a shame she is always on the road and not capitalizing on her hip standing. she could be a very rich woman with the right business decisions.
She is more than very, very rich. Much of her wealth, in the past 10 years, has been from a very heavy touring schedule, solo and with Fleetwood Mac. She earned more than $9 million dollars alone for The Unleashed Tour, and possibly more than that on the Say You Will Tour, the figures have been on The Ledge for years. She also had solo tours that brought less millions between the Mac tours, but were hugely profitable for her, or she wouldn't have bothered with it.
Her publishing alone brings her million of dollars in residuals. She had a huge windfall in the last decade when the Dixie Chicks had a huge hit with 'Landslide', she earned several million dollars in publishing royalties just from having that song on an album that sold so hugely. I'm not sure if there was even a single of The Chicks version commercially available, or not, but Stevie made so much money off of their cover, Lindsey even commented how great it was for Stevie that they sang it.
Plus, despite the drugs in the 70s and 80s, Stevie's money has been extremely well-taken care of. It's been more than a year since I saw what seemed to be an insiders educated estimate, but her estimated net worth was well beyond $100 million dollars.
As for her realizing a completion of her Rhiannon film project, I think if it is really important to her, she could back the film herself, certainly partially. But I think her handlers are more about Stevie earning money than risking it, and she's said she enjoys being rich and certainly has earned the right to enjoy her millions. I don't think any movie studios, film producers or directors are in a mad clamor to secure the rights to the Rhiannon movie, but she may get backers, eventually. If not, by her late 60s, she may decide to produce it herself, should it be that important to her. So far, I think she has decided to go where the big money has been for her, and that has been- out on tour, while she still can command the millions she has been paid each time she has toured since The Dance in '97. She's crazy rich, don't worry about that!

It's true she could capitalize on so many other things if she ever choosed to as long as she never sells herself out like some stars do. I don't ever want to see her as a branded product like say, Hannah Montana at K Mart or something and SO glad she never went that route in her career. I do think it would be cool if she ever offered a Stevie-line of jewelry and inspired clothing (or even furnishings, think pretty lamps etc.) on programs like QVC and HSN for us to buy (like Tori Spelling or Suzanne Somers have done). Think of all the unneeded fuss we'd never have to put up with again trying to find this stuff online or by ourselves and some of the horror stories. But I think Stevie's always been fine and content just being an iconic rock star, for her, and for us.

In the pic she does look a bit pissed off about getting her photo taken by either a fan or the paparazzi i do think if your going to take a photo of stevie at least ask nicely or take her photo when she is performing if you want but I don't like it when people have to take constant pics when she is going out to a dinner give her a break let her have her steak or fish dinner in peace. I do think its just rude of fans or paparazzi taking photos while she is out on the town having dinner with family and friends. If it is me and I did have a wonderful experience of meeting Stevie at the barnes and noble cd/dvd signing last year in NYC it was a wonderful and experience to meet that way i would have loved a pic with her but couldn't have done that was not allowed but to just have a moment with her priceless to me. I would have rather have smile and wave to me that to have taken a picture of her and have her angry with me for flashing a camera in her face. that would go with any other celebrity too. Sometimes if you ask nicely you might be surprised. was this pic from a fan or paparazzi? it looks to me more like a paparazzi photo's more than fans I think.

For a woman with epstein- barrs this tour schedule was absurd.
why does she do these tours anymore? she looks exhausted in so much of these tour pics, she could be doing so much else
Stevie looks great and sounds great and was amazing on stage on FM's Unleashed Tour. Stevie still looks hot and still Rocks baby and there is no way Stevie looks 75, I am sorry on that I know I am not the only one that feels that way Stevie will always be Stevie and look fabulous no matter what age she is.

Yeah, thanks for the different perspective. Over the last few days I have come to the conclusion that a lot of my opinions on Stevie reflect upon the way I feel about myself and one of them is that I don't particularly like change. Therefore, for me to imagine Stevie doing something else frightens me but I must realize that change occurs in the natural flow of life and Stevie probably does want to do something else.
I think there is alot of MAC political stuff going on during these tours with promotions, but just like after destiny rules, we will hear the truth after this tour has been over for awhile. I have a feeling this was not the happiest experience for her , I just know she looks tired alot on stage.

I get what you are saying but here's the thing - I would like to believe that she's continued to tour because hands down that's what Stevie loves to do and she needs to do it like she needs to breathe. When you're born to do something, you just are. Maybe I'm a dreamer but I believe in my heart that is her dearest gift to us. It would be/will be beautiful to see her express herself in other ways (film, memoirs, etc.) but she is a performer to the core.
she is so hip right now too,its a shame she is always on the road and not capitalizing on her hip standing. she could be a very rich woman with the right business decisions.
I totally disagree here. To me it's no shame she is always on the road. It's one of my greatest pleasures in life to see her live as selfish as that may sound and trust me, the woman will NEVER need to worry about money so she can pretty much do whatever the f*uck she wants and still be extremely wealthy (of course she could always make a horrible investment and lose it all but it's quite doubtful). This sounds so cliche but at the end of the day (at least for some people) it's not all about the money. Did you ever think that at this point Stevie is not out to capitalize on the money but doing it because she loves it? Maybe I'm naive in that she does want to make money but that can't be all there is to it.

From Philly.com Out & About
http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/phillygossip/Out_and_about_in_AC_Bill_Cosby_Chelsea_Handler_Sammy_Hagar_Stevie_Nicks_Iggy_Pop.html
Bill Cosby spent some time with Chelsea Handler and her family and friends Saturday afternoon at the Borgata where both comedians performed over the weekend. Cosby and Handler, host of E!’s “Chelsea Lately,” talked about Cosby’s early days and their comedic philosophies. Handler and family dined at chef Stephen Kalt’s Fornelletto Cucina and played blackjack as well...Also at the Borgata were Stevie Nicks (in town playing the Trump Taj Mahal) who dined at Bobby Flay Steak on Thursday night and Sammy Hagar who dined with friends at the Old Homestead Steakhouse. He was opening for Aerosmith at Boardwalk Hall...Hagar, the former Van Halen frontman, took in funnyman Joe Piscopo’s show “That’s Life,” which also features Broadway veteran Michael Longoria, Saturday night at Caesars with his pal Don Marrandino, eastern region president for Harrah’s Entertainment...Punk legend Iggy Pop turned heads when he went for a Saturday morning dip in the pool at the Chelsea in Atlantic City. Iggy and the Stooges, who stayed at the Chelsea Thursday through Saturday, played their classic album “Raw Power,” at the House of Blues Friday.

I don't think they're Uggs but they're something similar - these have more like furry stuff around the top and across the middle.
I don't know what the weather's like but it seems hot out for those type of boots! Then again, I guess she does wear boots all summer long...

It was 80 something degrees there a few days ago, but the temp was supposed to drop I think.

I feel kind of like a jerk but I checked to see what kind of doctors are at that address and Otolaryngology comes up a couple of times. Otolaryngology is for the treatment of ear/nose/throat issues, which would be associated with things like pnemonia. She's getting help there I bet to get better.

It was a joke. Please allow me to explain the joke:
In light of her recent Oprah appearance where she apparently gets 'busted' for trying to dissuade Ms. Crow from having children, along with her ever-constant mantra 0f "no babies for me because of my art and boyfriends who can't take the lifestyle and, of course, tranquilizers" I thought the idea of Stevie calling a passing pregnant woman, who appears to be unaware of what's going on, a 'sucker' was a comical moment--particularly as Stevie enters her hired car.
Stevie would not do that in real life. She would have had Karen punch the woman in the stomach, as they hopped in the car, barking "STEP ON IT!" to the driver. Once they were in the clear, Stevie, Karen, and the driver would break out into spontaneous, infectious laughter all the way to Trader Vic's for a fun 'tacky' little lunch.

I lived a couple of streets away in Beverly Hills.
On Bedford Dr...there is a North and South...Wilshire Blvd is the line running East to West...This was probably just north of Bedford Dr. There is a huge medical building that has many Dr offices. My doctor was in that building...there is Right Aid accross the street which used to be Thriftys when I lived there. So, she could have been there for anything from sore throat to tooth ache or even seeing purple peopole in your toilet.
I recognize the area but, couldnt pinpoint the street.
She used to cruise around in mega stretch black limos...
Everyone does the SUV thing now.
These make me go hmmmmm. Like, is he her personal driver? Or does she just call a limo place?
BTW my friends girlfriend was doing makeup or something for the Rooms On Fire Video. Thats when she lived up in Benedict Canyon...on a one horse winding cliffside road called Angelo Dr. It was crazy...the house is white now I think but, it used to be blue and a plack on the mansion sized guest house just behind the gate and in front of the main building used to read something like, Kasteel Kamphuze or something. Kasteel means Castle...Kamphuze must be a town or something.

SPOTTING a celebrity in the wild can be an odd experience.
It’s like when you run into your schoolteacher at the shopping centre, it’s just plain weird.
Reddit users have shared their most random celebrity encounters and some of them are hilarious.
These are our favourites:
• “I was bartending at the Holiday Inn in downtown Denver in about 2004 and it was a really slow night. We had a policy that we would stay open until at least midnight, and until 2 if there was business.
“There were two people in the corner of the room who had already paid and were on their last drink. I started closing up the bar when a short lady with long curly hair walked in and ordered a drink. I poured it for her.
“I asked where the lady had been. She said, ‘The Fleetwood Mac concert.’ I said, ‘Oh they were a really good band back in the day. Did you have good seats?’ She replied, ‘I was kind of on stage.’ I quipped, ‘Cool! Did you win a radio contest or something?’ She wearily replied, ‘Something like that.’ She ordered another drink. I said, ‘I’m sorry, we’re closing.’ She looked kind of hurt, paid, and walked out.
“After closing the bar I walked home and turned on the TV. It was tuned to Paladium, which was a channel that broadcasted HD concert. Coincidentally, there was a Fleetwood Mac concert on, and singing was the lady I had just kicked out of the bar, Stevie Nicks.”

Great story but..... I find it hard to believe. Stevie doesn't go to the BATHROOM without an entourage.. or at least KAREN....no way she was out alone late at night after a show grabbing a drink in a Holiday Inn bar.... The woman who demands (and gets) the Presidential Suite in every hotel because "I deserve it" and who tells her boyfriend she can't go with him out to the Farmer's Market or to a Bill Maher show because "Are you crazy?? I'm STEVIE NICKS.. I can't do stuff like that" is shlepping alone late at night? Nuh-uh.:sorry:

Funny, except I find it hard to believe Stevie was staying at a HOLIDAY INN in Denver, Colorado.

Remember when Stevie was talking about the Palazzo Sasso Hotel. She said something like she went down to the lobby and I'm not sure if she wrote her name in the guest book or gave the clerk a copy of Italian Summer lyrics or what. But whatever her exchange was with him, I remember the gist of it was that she told him to give her writing to the owner who would surely want to save it for posterity.
Given that, I'm sure she wouldn't have been that modest when speaking to the Holiday Inn bartender. Heck, even when she was in Fritz she wasn't an "I was kind of onstage" type of girl.

Does she really not go ANYWHERE without her 'entourage' or Karen?
Like, I know people say things like that but is it actually true?
I love her to death and it's great she has so many friends but I don't know what it is about the tales of her entourage that makes me sad. I think of that one old interview I read of Christine's where she talked about how she and Stevie don't really socialize anymore because she built her own world and it's not like how it was in the early days.
And especially with Karen, like does Karen honestly do everything for her?

There was a story, maybe back in1989 or so, that supposedly, Stevie was in a coffee shop of some sort and ordered one drink and left a $100 tip because the waiter respected her privacy. No idea if it's true, but it didn't sound unbelievable. Plus, why would a magazine make something like that up for a one paragraph blurb? Besides, even Stevie would probably like a little time to herself now and then outside of her home. We know she's a night owl, so I could see her taking a stroll to a bar or coffee shop by herself every once in a while.

I suppose no one knows for sure but it does seem that way. Karen is there when Stevie has dinner with Mick, or attends Jimmy Iovine's wedding, she was even there at Christmas when Barbara passed away.

Stevie doesn't drive. She hasn't had a license to drive for decades. Where she lives isn't really in strolling distance to things like coffee shops... I hardly think she'll call an Uber... in fact, she loooooooves to talk about that "big black car" that comes to pick her up all the time. we have seen snaps of her out shopping and such when on tour, but always, always Karen and security are discreetly with her, and possibly others. She got kinda security-paranoid back in the 70s where she became afraid to just go out like a normal person (and frankly, was at the height of really crazy popularity so it was realistic not to do that), and people like John Courage worried about her safety which seemed to reinforce it. The pics from the backyard of her El Contento house during the Rumours era show her practicing karate type stuff with the security expert they'd hired (in her high heeled boots, no less). So....overall, no, I don't picture her going out solo. Ever.

Maybe it was a hotel bar while she was on tour in 1989. Or maybe the magazine or waiter lied? I think Stevie is capable of walking by herself, she's not helpless.

the question wasn't whether she can walk by herself, it's a question of does she walk around in public alone. All evidence says no.

Well, there is some anecdotal evidence that she may travel alone when in a secure environment. During SYW and while her dad was still alive, I met her dad on the streets of Chicago for a nice long conversation. Poor guy was just riding around Michigan Avenue on his "scooter" that said "Stevie Nicks Rocks" bumper sticker on the back of the seat. That was my tip-off that Jess was the " Scooter rider." I sat and talked with him about everything other than Stevie and how he was with Armor-Dial originally being in Chicago and Greyhound etc and how he moved BOTH corporate HQ to Phoenix area. When he asked why I was down in the city, I told him I was staying at the 4 Seasons and going to FM that night. He said, wait, I can get you some really good tickets and they'll be right next to me. I was like, WOW, I can handle that. He made a cell call for a few minutes and asked that I follow him to the Ritz where a 1/2 an hour later, who was in the main lobby but her royal highness who thanked me for being so nice to dad and who was alone except for having Sulamith with her. Stevie escorted her dad to elevator and up they went with dog in tow.
Sure enough, that night, I got to sit 1st row right next to dad who stayed about 1/2 the concert sitting in his scooter and then went backstage as I think he was getting tired. Stevie acknowledged him several times that night and during Landslide too. IIRC, he died a year or two later.
Also, during the recording of Soundstage, Stevie was often seen by herself in the auditorium up to and and after the event. This would have been 2007 .

this story is giving me ALL the warm an fuzzies right now
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaw <3
I think she does some stuff alone. incognito.
she seems to go a lot of places and we know nothing about her adventures.
I mean, Karen doesn't live WITH her as is always being discussed that she does
I doubt she sits looking at the window for 2 weeks straight without going outside and doing *something* But Karen prob comes over every day to walk the dog
someone ask her please.

Doesn't Karen live like 5 or 10 minutes from her? She's definitely close for easy access. I just think since she doesn't drive, if she ever wants go anywhere not within walking distance she's got to call up someone which is usually Karen and thus probably why Karen is always with her. That's why I get curious about what Karen does, like in her free time, if she even has any free time that is.
