Hilarious Commercials

I work in marketing, so I tend to pay more attention to commercials than I am sure most people do. Most ads are complete crap, but from time to time, there are shining gems out there that just rock.

Case in point being the craze over the Old Spice "The Man Your Man Could Smell Like" commercial that ran during the Super Bowl. I was reminded of it when I went to see The Crazies the other night and they played it before the previews.

Got me to thinking about other commercials that have cracked me up completely in the past.

I think one of my all-time favorite commercials in the history of ever is this Viva Pinata commercial:

The version that ended up on TV was much shorter, for obvious reasons, but I wish they had kept in the Conan reference when they aired it.

Old Spice has had a number of other great ones over the recent past, like Bruce Campbell singing "Hungry Like the Wolf" (Ahoy!):

Yay! I freakin' LOVE that. And the Viva Pinata games are pretty damn awesome, too. I bought them for my kids and ended up playing them more than they did. If you get a chance, look for the shorter version of the commercial on YouTube, it's slightly different on top of being...er...shorter.

There was another one, too, that I remember seeing on TV, but I can't find a clip of it anywhere, where Horstachio shouts, "PROBLEM SOLVING, CHILDREN!" before scooting off across the lawn. I still say that to my kids, lol, when they whine and can't figure something out until they suddenly DO figure it out 5 seconds later - "PROBLEM SOLVING, CHILDREN!"
