The Ultimate Playlist Thread

[ButterCookie]

I thought it would be a really cool idea for each of us to compile a 15 song playlist with some of our ultimate tracks on, including a You Tube link, so we can all go and listen to each others choices.

I didn't include Stevie, Christine & the Mac in mine, because you've all heard all their songs before and I want this to be about finding new music :D

[Zombie]

Ooo, fun! I will leave off anything too metal, since I know that's not really everyone's speed here.

So, in no particular order, except for the first, which is, to me, pretty much the greatest song ever written:

- "Oh My Lord" - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, live in Lyon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uny3pYb1fsI)

- "Flood II" - The Sisters of Mercy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sn_GCGJCxo8)

- "Upside Down" - Tori Amos, live at the RAINN benefit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfFv6Fl6Qag)

- "Waiting for the Miracle" - Leonard Cohen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zc_dgbCHs58)

- "God Hates a Coward" - Tomahawk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jt856_nRxQk)

- "For Her Light" - Fields of the Nephilim (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ME2-gntRcAQ)

- "Endsmouth" - Agents of Oblivion (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLnDssJHO54) (Neil Gaiman fans may recognize the inspiration behind this song)

- "Chinese Arithmetic" - Faith No More (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xBE3CTcNa8I) (this live version has the hilarious Lady Gaga "Poker Face" intro)

- "Desert Song" - Dead Can Dance (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WGB-7rFZNkI)

- "The Four Horsemen" - Aphrodite's Child (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=selfqEH-JnY)

- "Wild World" - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (re-doing a classic from Cave's Birthday Party days) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ewBCtBG6BI)

- "The Bones of Babydolls" - Acid Bath (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vl0C9r1MlIc)

- "Release" - Sunshine Blind (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muG6Zo0UaBs)

- "Waitin' Around to Die" - Townes van Zandt (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTGKzWDakK8)

- "Lawyers, Guns & Money" - Warren Zevon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5puAN1PGQw)

- "Forever More" - Moloko (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfo1878wd60) (LOVE this video, too, the choreography is so fun)

I think I did one too many. But I could keep going. Haha.
