How often do you get 'Stevie Nicks... who's he?'

cristochango

I've gotten that, or the "Why do you think a 60 year old woman is hot?" which I always gotta counter with "She was 60 in 1981 :p" haha

I've also gotten "They're just a bunch of dirty hippies" haha

Oh, I get the hippy stuff. I actually had an argument with a really good friend about how her perceptions of Hippies was really jacked up. I get the 'Why do you think a 60 year old woman is hot' about Debbie Harry, too.

My 13 year old sister is a also an FM fan and I think she's probably one of the youngest kids to think Lindsey's hot :p

My 15 year old sister likes the mac, but isnt obsessed with them.
But she laughs at the fact that she hears it comin from my room so much that whenver she hears a song on the radio, she will know its them, and can hum along to it even though she's never actually listened to the song herself haha

I've also gotten "They're just a bunch of dirty hippies" hahaI'm older than 22, lol, but
honestly, that's why I grew up, with a certain prejudice towards the Beatles. As a child in the 70's, the hippie thing was so trying to be over, and I just remember my parents always putting down "dirty hippies", and always equating the Beatles with the hippie movement.

On FM, look HOW MUCH BETTER Lindsey looks, after he cut those attack poodles off his head.

I was 12 at my first Mac concert... Time tour! :) I was already hard core in love with the band at that point too (was from the first time I heard Gold Dust Woman and The Chain back to back on the radio at age 11). I used to be one of the kiddies on these message boards too (I was 18 when I joined the Legacy board, 19 when I joined here), but I'm getting close to 30 now! Still love Fleetwood Mac just as much 17 years after I became a fan! :woohoo:

well, i think i may have won the "Youngest Ledgie" Award with.....14....

(even though i'm 15 tomorrow:woohoo:)

I first saw Fleetwood Mac live when i was 8...and then again last year for my birthday.

At first, my friends all thought it was weird how i didn't listen to ANY 'modern' music,
but now it's kinda just who i am, and i'm absolutely proud of it. One hitch is that i have a tendency to relate to adults more than kids my own age, simply because if the music i listen to.

SAY YOU WILL was the first CD i ever owned, and i bought it with my own money after being caught in Preschool singing "Gypsy" during snack time...

:D I kinda know the feeling - apart from here at The Ledge, the majority of people I talked to about the FM concert in December were adults. As a side, one of my physics lab demonstrators is an enthusiastic Roger Waters fan, so I spoke a bit about Pink Floyd and the Alan Parsons Project (AP worked on "Dark Side Of The Moon") today. I can't think of many others in my age group I know of that like "old people's" music...
Btw, I'm 20 (indeed pronounced twenteen, as HM pointed out).
