I think I went in Nicksfix chat 1 time about 5 years ago for a few minutes, no one was really in there from what I remember. Don't you have to register or something to go in there? We do need a chat I think. I still hang out in aol chats but that's about it. A chat with fellow Ledgies would be nice though.

You do have to register but it's free. All you have to do is submit a username, and a password, and give your e-mail address, and it will send something for "confirmation" or whatever they're calling it. I'm not sure if there's a Kinney involved or not; but I think it's probably more like an "automated" thing.
(John Kinney is the webmaster, for lack of a better word. :D )

It's usually active on weeknights between about 10:45 p.m. and 12 a.m. Eastern.
Give or take, of course. SOMETIMES there's people in there on weekends at
the same time,but less-often. Don't worry, we don't bite, at least not in places
that people will see! ;)

I for one was shocked and will never go back there. It was worse than high school. All the cool kids in a click making fun of people (from The Ledge) who weren't in there. It is one thing to gang up on someone, but just so cowardly to gang up on people behind their backs. I was totally surprised by who was doing all of this talk to. People who pretend to be friendly and nice on here.

There was talk of how people should be aborted. Put in wood chippers. Never born. It was awful. Not only did the moderator not stop this, she encouraged, participated in the name calling and seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself. I wonder if the Administrator of that site realizes just how misplaced his trust is?

I'd say register and enter that place at your own risk. I'll never subject myself to thier immaturities again.

I fear you're taking everything in these parts entirely too seriously. :wavey: I don't quite think you understand the dynamics of some of us... it's all good natured ribbing. After all, there's not much to hash over in the Mac world right now. When there are new developments in Macland, everybody will undoubtedly will be more on topic.

This hasn't been your first scathing post on the people of this board... I'm sorry you're so displeased. Personally, I just encourage you to spend some time around here... contribute your thoughts and feelings, and you'll come to understand people's ways a little better. And we'll understand yours better as well. I promise... everything's not as dark as you view it! :wavey:

The reason why everyone was rambling about nonsensical stuff that night was simply to ignore and override that crazy dude who rambles on endlessly about being Stevie's fiance. Every time he started typing, we'd all say something off the wall to divert the convo. I think you missed a big chunk of what was really going on, because you came in later. But you're gonna think what you're gonna think... so I'll not respond any further to this. :wavey: My only real beef with you is you're an off-topic thread hog here on the Ledge. But if you recall, I've often high fived you for your off color wit, too.

I had classified her as The Ledge's Pubic Enemy #1 and said something like "I'd just tell her to s*ck it but would be afraid to get whatever she had" and then we had continued our convo. And then whenever someone would ask WHO? WHO? I would fill them in...

I dont think anyone was being passive aggressive - 9 out of 10 times you will get banned here for standing up for yourself or someone else around here so you tend to find it not be worth it to put your two cents in...

From what I recall about that particular chat, everything that was said was totally in jest... and I think a lot of it was for the amusement of ourselves; mainly because there was some weird guy talking about being engaged to Stevie ...so the "ranting" commenced to sort of perturb this strange individual. I could be wrong. I truly don't recall any Carrie-bashing, of any kind.

The night I was in there we were just carrying on and being ourselves which is what I think a chat should be. I didn't notice anyone being outright mean or insulting while I was there. I can usually read people well on here and know if someones being serious or not. I liked having another platform to just talk about anything and carry on in good fun and I hope that room remains active as long as everyones having a good time. Brandon? I've yet to catch you in there so I hope to see you on some night when we're all there. ; )

I don't know you and you don't know me. I called no one out by name but now you are saying I am scathing? I don't believe I have been rude or scathing to anyone. I gave my opinion about some music and made a couple comments otherwise. I didn't realize being called "resident hottie" on here made you the decider on what I can view as dark or not. That quote was at Carrie not me but I'd like to respond. You slammed someone not present because you were trying to drown someone else out? What about the words to American Pie? or The Constitution? Why did it go to jumping on someone who wasn't there? That bucket doesn't hold water my friend.


My Pap told me a long time ago that if you go and show your ass, you have two options. You can show your ass again trying to cover yourself or you can bite your lip and make it right.

Folks showed their asses. How did they respond? Excuses Excuses Excuses. Carrie was obviously not feeling gently ribbed but not one of you stepped up and said "I'm Sorry". Not one. (If anyone sent her a not to apologize, then I am sorry I lump you in with the rest). So don't go trying to say it was all meaningless when someone's feelings were obviously hurt, and no one did anything to salve that.

From my point of view, I'm not lying. I was in the room that night, and I was also at work. I believe I had commented every few minutes as I was busy cleaning prints. What was said about Carrie (if anything) frankly, I missed it. To my knowledge, I have never said anything derogatory about her, or anyone for that matter, in that room.
