Courtney Love has spoken out about her high-profile bust-up with daughter Frances Bean, describing how the teenager punched, bit, and scratched her during a frenzied attack.
Frances, Love's daughter with late Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain was placed under the temporary guardianship of her paternal grandmother and an aunt in December, after a falling out with her mother.
A judge later slapped a restraining order on Love, preventing her from contacting Frances until a further hearing in April.
The Hole rocker is adamant that her feud with Frances is over and that she will have her daughter back in time for Frances' 18th birthday in August.
But she has also revealed details of the argument that sparked their split, insisting Frances attacked her.
Love says, "I was talking on the phone. Frances came out of my room. She was hysterical. First she was crying at my legs, saying, 'Why was I born?' Then she
bites and scratches and pulls on my hair. She punched me. I grabbed her with both arms. That left a bruise and she took a picture of her bruise."
