I'm so happy! I was just browsing through a local record dealer's store here and gasped out loud when I found this! He wanted £25 (about $40) for it - there was no way I was letting it get away! I did have Dreams of him not knowing what he had and wanting less, but no...

It is perfect! No marks at all on vinyl or the cover. Spine completely intact, no wear at all! It's playing wonderfully...

Wow what a great find! I'd gasp out loud too if I found one in one of my stores.

awesome I got my copy back in 1987 at a used record store for $25 dollars love it plays like new and also have a cassette which is probably the clearest way to hear it with out the crackling as well. love that album.

My best friend bought this record for me during Christmas of 2009. The cover is a little worn, but the record is perfect and plays beautifully. Yay for best friends!!!

I love those *gasp* moments in record shops.. though I think I'd be more likely to squeal if I found Buckingham Nicks!

It's so funny, when I read this thread the other day I thought "No way in hell would my crappy record store EVER get a BN album. So today I went there on a whim and they had one and I literally almost started crying! :blob2: It looked to be in really good condition, and if I had the $80 it'd be in my hands right now

I had only been a FM fan for about 4 months or so after The Dance. I was at a record store in CT and found the BN album for $25. That is a big chunk of money for a used record for a 17 old kid. But I bought it! I found another one a couple year ago in Ann Arbor, MI for about 15. I have NEVER found a gatefold one except in NYC where it was like $100.

They've been going pretty cheap on ebay lately. I got the gatefold about six months ago for $20. Very good condition. I found the non-gatefold in a local record store a few months ago for $8 (it has a few condition issues). I had never seen it in a store around here ever since I wanted to get a copy starting in the late nineties, and sure enough a couple of months after I get it on ebay it shows up in a record store. Granted it would have been worse if it was like the next day or something. Anyway the point of my rambling is try not to overpay for it. I think you're getting ripped off if you pay more than $30 for it, at least in America (I don't know about outside the US).

back in '84-85 I found a gate fold copy in very good condition for $5.00

I have the gatefold in fantastic condition, and I only paid $16 for it. Shop around for your vinyl, y'all. $80 is too much for BN.

Shoot, I paid less than that for my mint 12" "If Anyone Falls" promo with the Morabita sketch cover, and you can't find that thing anywhere.

Gatefold? If not, a new search begins!

Not gatefold. I didn;t know there was a gatefold one!! I'd love to have t, but I'm still very happy with what I have! If I stumble across one (doubtful!) then it will be mine though...

Yeah, there are a few copies of BN on ebay but this worked out cheaper (when factoring in shpiing costs etc) and also it was good to be able to see the condition of the record before I bought it. There's no crackling at all apart from at the very start before the first track - as ever.

So. On2 vinyl. Started w/ the 1st side of BUCKINGHAM/NICKS (1973), which I also hadn't heard in yrs. Usually it's "Without a Leg to Stand On" that grabs me the most (still my fave), but this time it was "Crystal" that cot me short, not sure why. Xcept it's beautiful, much better than Fleetwood Mac's later version, w/ lotsa twiddly Lindsey Buckingham gtr & his relaxed lead vocal. Has NE1 noticed that "Crystal" is sorta a watery version of Mac's "Landslide"? Stevie Nicks wrote both of them....
