Mary J. Blige is my new favorite singer. I've been listening to her albums all day. She's amazing.

She sings a song in the movie "Outrighteous." But unfortunately I don't know what the title of it is.

I also love her song "I Am."

Is Mary J. Blige still hot on the pop or R&B charts? or is she yesterday's news?

Unfortunately she's still hot. Personally I find her annoyingly overrated. To each his own, though.

I own her 2006 album, The Breakthrough. Good stuff. Been meaning to check out her older records.

Her and U2's duet of One on that album is the standout for me. And her and Andrea Bocelli's rendition of Bridge Over Troubled Water at the Grammy's this year was my favorite performance of the night.

So, yeah, I think she's an awesome singer too. :thumbsup:

Mary is such a soulful singer, and I love her raw emotional delivery :) She's been one of my favorites since highschool (along with Mariah)when I first heard "real love". Here's a beautiful song ~~

She just released a new album, I have it but I haven't listened to it yet (sorry Mary)

I think she's got a mighty, soulful voice and loads of good energy.

That's one of my all time favorites. She performed it on American Idol that year and just blew the roof off the place. She takes that song to a whole different level.

Does Beethoven know you're cheating on him with contemporary music?He got a little upset with me. He threw a plate of trout stew & roasted potatoes at me.

But I went to the CD store today & instead of buying Mary Blige, I bought the Klemperer-Philharmonia reissue of FIDELIO on EMI. So all is well in Beethoven Land.

Besides, the song I really like (OUTRIGHTEOUS) isn't even by Mary Blige. I was wrong. It's by Troy Taylor & sung by Camille Ross. So I don't even care about Mary Blige any more. I'm so over her.
