So I am sitting in class thinking about how much I would love to have a coffee right now. I was just thinking this would be a good thread to discuss coffee and what everyone likes.
So whats your favorite flavor?
How do you like your coffee?
Do you like a specific brand?
Dunkins, Starbucks, or somewhere else?
Cappuchino and Lattes?
Start discussing =P

Starbucks americano.
When I get the largest one, I shake for hours because I'm so small and have it black. Mmmm

Foldgers. Lots of cream and sugar. And I'm pissed if people at work drink it all up and don't make more.

Medium coffee, skim milk, 3 splendas, some sort of flavoring (doesn't matter what flavor really, just something - hazelnut, cinnamon, french vanilla... it's all good.)
Prefer DD, then Tim Horton's, then Starbucks. There are a few good local places (Spot Coffee for one) but none are near me so I rarely go there.
I rarely make coffee at home. At work we drink Maxwell House, and I add my splendas & sugar free flavored creamer.

I used to enjoy both Starbucks and McDonald's but SB has become bitter tasting and Micky D's like mud. Believe it or not, Burger King has some pretty good tasting coffee. It has a bit of a nutty flavor to it. I also like Dunkin's Donuts however, since December I've switch to Nescafe Clasico instant coffee and it is damn good. No more fooling with the coffee pot or coffee makers.
I use both soy half n half by Silk and Safeway's hazelnut flavor half n half (lactose free).

Any brand as long as it is not flavored. I prefer Dunkin's but would probably drink anything if I had to. Starbuck's and (yuck) Maxwell House are too bitter for me, but I'll drink them if nothing else is available.
with sugar and milk (not cream or half and half).

First off, I worship coffee :blob2:
I drink about 3 pots a day, and I drink it black, all day everyday. Sometimes however I add powdered sugar-free vanilla creamer with 2 splendas, but I loveeeeee black coffee. And of course it has to be Folgers.

I am SOOO addicted to coffee!!!
I prefer flavored coffee over regular. My favorite flavor is French Vanilla and Blueberry
When I go to Dunkins I used to get extra extra but now I just get cream and sugar.
I prefer Dunkins over Starbucks because Dunkins has falvored coffee LOL But I do like Starbucks' Tazo Pasion tea w/ Lemonade!! SOOOOO good! Okay back onto coffee
I dont really have a specific brand I like just as long as it tastes good.
We have a keurig coffee maker and the store next door to us sells the k-cups so I always go over there and buy different flavor cups =P I looooove the French Toast one these days. Blueberry tastes amazing as an iced coffee
When I went to the Hyundai dealership to get my moms brake lights fixed w/ Ashley they had a thing called "Latte Lounge" BEST INVENTION EVER!!! I need to get one! Looks something like this vv and it has SOOO many options. You can pick like flavors for your coffee, latte, cappuchino, etc. Decaf or regular beans. What size cup. SO AMAZING!

I love Dunkin Donuts coffee. Hey I'd walk a mile in the bitter cold just to get one. :) Just don't do it on a Sunday in Pittsburgh. Not a fan of flavored coffees and I like mine regular.
As for the coffee brands in the can I like Autocrat coffee. It's a RI company which also makes a product called coffee milk. I hate Starbucks with a passion.

I love coffee.
I live in New York City, where we have a gazillion places to get coffee. I used to go to Dunkin Donuts until I realized that I should support the little coffee cart on the corner near my office. I started going to them about two years ago. Now, when I come out of the subway and wait to cross the street, they see me coming and my large iced with just milk (no matter what time of year!) is waiting for me when I get there. "Hey, sweetie! Have a good day!" they say as they hand it to me and I plop down my perfect change. I even get a Christmas card from them!
On the rare days that I don't go to my cart, I do love some McDonald's coffee. Paul Newman just makes amazing and delicious products all around. I still get Dunkin when I go to my parents in CT but Dunkin and Starbucks in the city is overpriced and usually burnt.

YESSS!!!! I found this Nescafe Clasico in individual packs... works perfectly in the morning at home when I'm in a rush! I was pleasantly surprised at how good it really is!
And, for the record, I never put real sugar in my coffee... has to be Splenda. I hate them flavored, and I really don't like Starbucks. There are way too many options... The only thing I like from Starbucks is a mocha. That's it, nothing fancy. I really prefer just coffee with cream and Splenda...

Former barista and coffehouse manager here (good god, what have I NOT done for a living?)! :wavey:
There is an independently owned coffee shop that I go to every morning, and like bucklind17, I am on a first name basis with the owner. They have a drive through(!) so it's ready for me when I pull up! Anyway, I can't remember the region his coffee comes from, but it is so good. He doesn't brew, it's an Americano.
At home, I make Sumatra in a coffee press. And drink it with cream and sugar. :)

Ya know, I CAN choke down one of those frou frou vanilla with whipped cream(and a bunch of tasty other ****) ones, but I mean, I don't consider THAT really to be coffee. My morning coffee, is two cans of TAB. That's right, TAB. I love that ****! And that's my caffeine for the day.
As far as alcohol, there are probably five things I WON'T drink:
Gin
Southern Comfort
Yukon Jack
Peppermint Schnapps(although I have been guilty of choking a freebie down, lately)
Okay, make that four, although I'm not crazy about white wine, much preferring any reds over whites.
Doh, on edit, make it five. I can't drink Budweiser. Gives me a splitting headache, every time.

Good, old-fashioned, black coffee--strong, and lots of it!!!
I prefer to make mine at home, but, if I'm out..I'll go Starbucks and get the bold brew of the day, or, here where I live (Indiana), we have mini-marts called Circle K--they have very good coffee.

hey caitlin...nice thread :D
I didn't start drinking coffee until a few years ago; now I will have 1-2 cups 5 days a week with -0- on weekends. I don't have much preference other than hot and caffeinated; I will drink black or with splenda and the whitestuff. Coffee can be expensive; I usually purchase whatever brand I know is tasty and on sale at the time.

I forgot about you & your TAB obsession. I was the same as you - started with Tim Horton's English Toffee capuccino, which is basically a cup of hot frothy flavored sugar. I love a great cup of Chai tea as well.
When I started doing weight watchers & realized 1 cup was like 5 points, I went to flavored coffee with like 4 or 5 splendas & double skim. Now I'm down to 2 or 3 splendas & skim. I rarely drink coffee at home, I prefer tea (Stash black chai is a fave, with 1 splenda & a dash of milk. Yum.)
And whoever mentioned they liked DD over Starbucks b/c they have flavored coffee - you can get flavored coffee @ Starbucks too.

I drink Nescafe, instant coffee hehe. Just one cup in the morning, with some milk no sugar. Brewed coffees make my hands shake too much, and I have anxiety issues so it's best for me avoid it. I just need that one cup in the morning.
Rest of the work day, I drink green tea which has less caffeine than coffee (though it has some, just enough to keep me 'up')

ever since i started brewing my own mud-like coffee at home, i really don't enjoy getting coffee at restaurants/coffee shops anymore, unless it's some stupid frou-frou latte or something. i went to a coffee shop across the street from my work on my lunch break today because i needed a caffeine buzz and i didn't even want to finish it. (i did, of course, because i paid that $1.52 ... i'm just saying. ) it was watery, flat, lifeless. ick.

Can't function without it in the morning.
I put down Starbuck's when the economy tanked so badly last year and now I DIY a caramella latte at home with a Krups espresso machine and bean grinder.
Currently using a mellow roast organic Guatamalan bean from a local roaster.
Mix 1/2 coffee & 1/2 2% milk that I froth to make a nice thick foam head.
Add about 2 tablespoons of Torani's carmel sauce.
Drink it out of a double walled stainless insulated travel cup.
Once in awhile I'll order Deep Tan blend from Santa Barbara Roasting Company. It makes the best lattes in the WORLD! However, I can only get through a half pound before I start getting "coffee gut" and have to switch back to a low-acid bean.

No, a cup of fake sugary capuccino stuff is 5 points - it's basically like hot choclate but worse. Coffee is ZERO points. Splash of skim & some splenda are zero as well, so that's what I do now.
