Joe Simon inspiration?

I came across this song by accident (listening to something by Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs) and I figured this must be what Stevie and Lindsey listened to in the early 70s. :p

I've been down one time
I've been down two times
Now I'm drowning in the sea of love

I've heard BB King do this song as well.
