Superfly's Version of Rhiannon

[Artemis]

Has anyone else caught this? xD I think it's pretty fantastic, I think she's been influenced by the live versions of Rhiannon from the late 70s though. It reminds me a lot of the Midnight Special performance -

Amazing vocals- where is this band from? Not the U.S., right?

[brysondt]

Holy shiz, you guys! This is THE BEST cover of Rhiannon I have ever heard. Buying and downloading this very moment. I love it so much. This girl has definitely been listening to some Stevie tour bootlegs, haha.

absolutely brilliant! though the english isn't very good, and to answer your question they're from Japan, the vocals are superb! My guess is that the lead singer (who notes Janis Joplin as a huge influence), saw the Rosebud or Midnight Special performance, thought it was pure genius, and wanted to cover it.

there's more info here, if you're interested: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superfly_%28artist%29

Ok, I am seriously impressed. Thank you for posting this!

[vivfox]

That was the best cover of Rhiannon I ever heard and the music was fantastic!

[Artemis]

Heh, I thought this would be more well-known around here. I've had it on my PC for at least a year now. I love it, her vocals are incredible :D

Where did you download it??!?

[Jondalar]

That was excellent!

[Phoenixgypsy]

Dang! That was cool! Is available for download anywhere? Stevie needs to duet with HER and not Taylor :-)

[MacMan]

That was good... very reminiscent of the Mirage vid version

[SoulDrifter21]

I've got the download if anyone would like it, drop me a line! The audio version ROCKS!

I had it as well, but it got lost when my computer crashed. I presume you downloaded it when it was one of the songs of the week on The Legacy. There was also a cover by someone named Lisa. If you have it, could you upload it for us?

[LiamMcConville]

She sounds like Nancy Wilson.

Damn!! I think I just did a standing ovation listening to that here in my room! That SERIOUSLY kicks ass! And here I thought Rhiannon was long dead... but she's apparently taken up residence in the land of the rising sun! :woohoo:

[Musicman408]

WOWWW. I could not help but smile the whole time while listening to that. That totally kicked butt, even though the English was a little off at times! ;)

Truly was amazing. I wish the Mac would do their own songs with as much gusto these days. It was really impressive!!!

[equeen102289]

Wow. That was incredible. I hope someone in Stevie's camp gets this to her. She has to listen to this. I think she'd love it.

[gypsy4life]

DANG!! Superfly is SUPER-FLY!!!
This is the one and only Stevie Nicks cover I have EVER liked.
