I've been a fan of Fleetwood Mac since the 80s and I never bothered to listen to all the songs from Buckingham Nicks album. Well, I did last night and I'm in heaven. This album is a masterpiece. I think I'm on my 30th listen of Frozen Love. The song is EPIC. It's one of the best things they ever did!

It's stellar, I don't know how I missed it. I listened to a lot of Buckingham and Nicks before, just not the whole thing. And I've heard people mention Frozen Love.

I agree, it's fantastic! I'm holding onto the hope that in an attempt at a cash grab, Stevie and Lindsey will reissue the album and tour to support. I can dream, right?

i was actually thinking about this today! but what would make it even better is if they would also do their solo songs together, i often fantasize of Lindsey playing guitar on Outside The Rain, EO17, and Fall From Grace

I didn't discover Buckingham Nicks for well over 10 years into my fandom either. I too was extremely surprised at the quality of the material... especially after hearing forever how the album tanked, and various people said it was underdeveloped talent. To me, it sounds as good as any of the '70s Fleetwood Mac albums... very familiar and accessible. Frozen Love is fantastic... I wish they could find a way to work it into live venues again. I like Races Are Run a whole lot too. I hold out hope Buckingham Nicks will one day be commercially released... but it almost seems like that ship has sailed. Maybe once Stevie and Lindsey have retired. I guess we'll see...

I love the whole album...what would be wrong with them touring the old tunes? If Mick is too busy for a while...then, you know...Buckingham Nicks reunited..and it feels so good!!

I don't want them to tour for the album. I just want them to release it. Stevie's and Lindseys voices can't live up to these gorgeous harmonies.

Thanks from dumbass #2. I have not listened to BN. I've only heard Long Distance Winner from Enchanted and didn't particularly like it so I never bothered with the whole album. Now that I think about it, it does seem incredible that I never did give it a listen. That's about to change!

Glad you're enjoying it!

You make a good point, but it would be interesting to see how they would reinterpret these songs today. I agree that the harmonies wouldn't be nearly as amazing, but it would be interesting to hear what they would do. In Lindsey's Soundstage performance they kind of do a teaser of Frozen Love. Stevie said she only remembers the opening words, but I think she is just being coy. I was trying to find a video, but I couldn't. Help!

Yeah, she sings a bit after this awesome performance.

Yes! That's it--I didn't realize it was at the end of the performance of Never Going Back. I have a hard time believing they couldn't have played it.

I know. They totally paint each others toenails while spinnin' the Buckingham Nicks album.

But, seriously, I'm sure LB could have played it, but maybe they don't remember all the words. I'd understand that. The crowd's reaction when she started singing it was great, though! The older lady who looks like Ellen Burstyn at 3:33 especially. :D

While I think the great majority of your innumerable criticisms of Buckingham and Nicks are indeed founded in truth, the kids do still have some live vocal talent left in them. Even if their voices are different than they once were. In the last 5 years even, Stevie has rendered some downright torchy versions of Beauty And The Beast, for instance (even though that's not a fav of mine, per se).

Stevie's voice is definitely a bit more nasal and grainy than it was when that particular song was recorded... but it really could be argued she has better pacing and control in that song than she did back in the day. When Stevie really wants to sing well, she still can. Just look at her version of At Last... fantastic.

Lindsey can sing quite well too when he sings more softly (instead of that horse sounding whisper yell thing he's had going on the past half decade). His recent versions of Save Me A Place have been quite nice.

I think if Stevie and Lindsey decided to do a Buckingham Nicks tour (which very well could happen when they're nearing retirement), they could do these songs justice... if they really wanted to, and honestly worked hard on them. There's still an issue of egos though... which seems to translate to stiff and/or overcompensating/angry Mac performances. My long winded point is that it could happen, and it doesn't necessarily have to be a detrimental thing at all. The whole aging of their voices and doing some of these songs could be a beautiful full circle thing... if done correctly.

That version of 'Save Me A Place' is about a thousand times better than the one on Tusk. It's one of the few LB songs I never cared for, but this version is listenable! As for a Buckingham Nicks tour, I don't think it would work. I mean, if they were capable of putting everything aside and working together in a meaningful way, I think we would have seen evidence of that before now. It would be nice though if they would sing Frozen Love at a Mac show....

I wish we had some videos where they had performed come of the Buckingham Nicks stuff. We can always hope for a tour. I think theres a mutual understanding between us all that we know Stevie's voice isn't quite what it used to be with regards to her range but she still oozes stage prescence and charisma. Plus even the chemistry between them in the video is still amazing and to see just the 2 of them on stage doin the songs before their major success I think would be great !!!

Ps. Of the Buckingham Nicks album I love Cryin in the Night - not amazing lyrically but love the guitar as is Lola!!! Frozen Love's great plus can you imagine what their harmonies on Crystal and Sorcerer would be like ...???

hmmm, Crying in the Night is Stevie on the verge. Long Distance Winner the harmonies are excellent and she is soooo fireary! My favorite from her on the album is Races are Run. It's just such an honest song and she goes somewhere emotionally.

Frozen Love is my favorite. The best written song on the album is Crystal, but it's not as good here as it was on Fleetwood Macs album.
