David - My Sicilian mother-in-law would scream the house down at cannoli being described as Italian  - they originate from Palermo, Sicily and you can't imagine how much that matters unless you live here in Chicago.

I guess you had some of the sweet ones with vanilla custard and cream. My mother-in-law makes me a savoury version with ricotta, goats cheese, parsley, basil, tomato and olive. They taste fantastic.......

Being raised in Brooklyn where there is like a bakery every 5 blocks I definitely am picky about pasteries, but cannolis, and rainbow cookies would be my favorite.

I like those things, & I don't really have a sweet tooth. I like the way they put a little cherry on top.

I do indeed love cannoli and I can honestly say, this is the only place you should get them from: http://foodpages.ca/FranksSicilia
