Pitchfork mentioned that Beach House's Victoria Legrand was in "Stevie Nicks territory, for sure." in their track review of "Norway" from the group's new LP Teen Dream.

Gorilla vs. Bear followed by saying, "the incredibly nuanced, heartachingly gorgeous Teen Dream continues to reveal itself further with each listen (the record also confirms our theory that Victoria Legrand is basically our generation's Nicks and McVie)." (e.g. the last video of this post)

& Once singer Victoria said on Beach House's Twitter, "how did this crystal party boat by fleetwood mac slip by us for so long?" referring to this song "Mystified" from Tango in the Night.

The album Teen Dream truly is an impressive effort by amazingly talented musicians & i feel strongly compelled to share it. Especially to people who would probably enjoy it (Mac & Stevie fans) Here are a couple songs. Give it a listen.

Yes a bit Buckingham Nicks and a bit Mamas and Papas. Very influenced by the pop folk movement of the 60's and 70's.

Perhaps strangely, I hear none of those influences. I listened to all three video clips. I don't like making quick assessments, but initially I find nothing appealing about the singer or the songs.

Hmmm...I definitely hear the 60s chiming in there, but the lead vocalist sounds a bit more like Grace Slick to me. Her deep authoritative voice doesn't have that sweetness of the Nicks/McVie Mac lineup.

Referring to the song below, The Washington Post said, "...evoking Fleetwood Mac swallowed up in a quicksand of glitter."
