Oklahoma Earthquake
January 15, 2010 12:46 PM EST

In a strange coincidence, an earthquake hit just outside Oklahoma City days after the devastating earthquake in Haiti. The Oklahoma earthquake measured 4.0 and struck at 9:18 a.m. this morning. There are many reports of people feeling the quake, seeing their windows shake or their houses rumble, but so far there are no reports of major damage or casualties. This is the third earthquake in Oklahoma this week, after a 2.8 and 3.3 hit in other areas. Will this week in January go down as the week of the earthquake?

As Luke said, BFND is also what I say about the quakes (The Wichita Mountains are only 20 miles away from my house - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wichita_Mountains ) since they occur about 20 times a year, and only about 2 are actually felt above ground.

I predict that the Cascadia Subduction Zone will slip from south to north for a distance of 600 kilometers or more, generating a magnitude 9.0 earthquake & tsunami in the Pacific Basin, some time within the next 185 years.

Wager, anyone?
