Put simply, my family is considering going to the Cayman Islands this upcoming summer. We have not been, but were wondering if any of you all had, or have known anyone who has. What were your thoughts. Thanks in advance!

Muchos Amores,
Ethan

Call me crazy, but.... I don't understand why your family keeps planning expensive vacations when your parents are supposedly separated and in the midst of a divorce.

Completely see where you all are coming from. This has actually evolved where it will most likely just be my mom and I- like for our date with Fleetwood Mac!!! :)

It's evolved into that between yesterday, when you started this thread, and today? And how was the Florida Keys family vacation, since we're talking vacations and whatnot?

well, ohio IS the epicenter of change ... and kentucky's not far, so i guess it's plausible that ethan's vacation plans have changed on a dime.

this does not apply to indiana, though. y'all are still backwards and behind the times. itmfp.

Well, that's true. It could have literally just happened. Literally. I'm hoping Ethan can shed some light on it for me. iatyfp.

HA HA HA!!

You all crack me up!

The Florida Keys thing didn't work out. I was really the only one at the time interested in going, my sister has an aversion to flying, and my parents.... well..... yeah.....

Yes in the past day or so it has shaped up to potentially be a mom and son only trip. Again, my sister has an aversion to flying, and again, both parents.... well..... yeah

We were looking at properties last night, and it was just my mom and I, so it's feeling like both of us for sure want to go. It was exactly like this for FM in March, and it turned out to just be my mom and I, so it could totally happen!!

It's now officially (officially) clear as mud.

If you were the only one interested in going to the Keys, then how was Your Family Considering a Trip to the Keys and Wanting Information You All?

I was the one taking it the most seriously. You know when you propose an idea and people think it's a good idea. That doesn't mean they are going to follow through with it.

Ethan, I am going to give you props for coming back to the threads you begin and then actually responding to the posts, albeit cluelessly. This is new for you!

I think if my child had proposed the idea of a holiday whilst I was seperating my my husbands I would have packed her off for psychiactric help!

You have to understand that she's trying to make things as normal as possible. If you don't know the situation- which you don't because you don't live here- please don't judge. :)

We were all interested in looking into the trip!

I have lived the situation so in my instance I do know what I'm talking about. And if you don't want peoples opinions then perhaps starting a thread about it isn't the best idea.
