Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum so forgive me if it's in the completely wrong area.

I'd like to write a letter to Stevie but was wondering if anyone here has done so before?
Does she reply or does her agent do so on her behalf..?

Thanks :)

:wavey: Welcome to the board. This is definitely the right place for all things Stevie.

You can e-mail Stevie via rockalittle.com. I've never done it, but I've been meaning to. Apparently some Ledgies have received photos and responses. As to how personal they are, I'm not totally sure.

There was a thread about this a little while ago that might clarify further.

You can't email Stevie, but you can write a letter and send it to the address posted on the nicksfix under the contact section.

I wrote a letter to Stevie recently, expressing all my love & admiration for her heartfelt songs & her warmth & generosity of spirit. No reply as of yet.

Now I can't remember whether I remembered to affix the appropriate postage to the envelope.

I have written some letters to her these past 2 years I've been a fan but no replies...
The lates letter was a 10 page, which I don't think she'll read, haha!
But I'll send a new short letter to her after new year when I know she's not on tour or so...:)

A friend of mine threw letters for Stevie and Lindsey onto the stage under Lindsey's microphone in Dublin ... we didn't see him pick them up but they were there one minute and gone the next, so he must have done! Has anyone received responses that way?

Sorry to bump this thread up again.

People who have written to Stevie- did you include a self addressed envelope in your letter?

I'm a bit skeptical about doing this for a few reasons-

1. It might look a bit desperate for a response.
2. I'm from Australia so obviously our postage stamps will be different to the USA and probably aren't accepted there.

No, I didn't include a self addressed envelope.

Thanks :)

I'm going to find some pretty writing paper and get to it. I'll let you all know if I end up hearing back.

ALWAYS include a stamped addressed envelope. And if from overseas you can get international reply coupons. I look after fan mail for a celeb friend of mine and I always ignore the requests that do not provide this

Oh excellent, thanks for letting me know :)

So celebrities don't think this looks desperate? Or, I suppose they sort of expect this hey?

And, doing what you do would be pretty interesting.. I bet you get some psychotic mail to read.

I think it's more considerate than desperate -- you're making it easy for them to get in touch. Best of luck!

So I figured I'd bump this thread since in another thread someone was saying they wrote Stevie back in the late 80's/early 90's and got a reply. I wrote Stevie in 1997 and got back a generic, (but amazing) card back, but everything was typed and there was no actual handwriting or signature. After this thread came up in late 2009, I decided to write Stevie again and sent my letter off in late January 2010. I never got a reply. Did anybody else???

What about Karen?
Or her Santa Monica address?

The last time I heard of someone getting a reply from Stevie was soon after her father passed away. One of the girls who used to post on the boards sent Stevie her condolences and Stevie sent back a little note.

Sometime last year I read in an interview that Stevie only does in-person autographs now because of people selling them on ebay. That's unfortunate, but it makes sense.

The lack of responses from Stevie probably has much do with the fact that she has nobody who just handles her fan mail anymore.

Up until around ‘The Dance’ album, a lady named Ginny Kamano handled her correspondence. Anybody who sent Stevie a letter either got a handwritten thank-you note from Ginny or a form letter saying what Stevie was up to.

Also, If you sent in a photo for an autograph, Ginny would have it returned to you personally inscribed by Stevie.

When I wrote to Stevie myself, I got a nice note back from Ginny and the photo I sent in. See below.

I had written this before and some took it as if I was a jerk but...again, in the late 80s Stevie lived near me when I lived in Beverly Hills. She lived on the top of Angelo Dr in Benedict Canyon/Bel Air. My buddys girlfriend was doing makeup for the extras in the Rooms On Fire video. One night I drove up that narrow bicycle wide road to her cliff side home. The guesthouse was the mansion in front of the driveway with a gate. Anyway, there was a mailbox out in front and my drunk friend and fellow actor, Hilary got out and stole her mail. I argued with her but they were only store flyers/commercial stuff. She did put it back, sort of and racing down the narrow hill...a huge deer was clip clopping down the road in front of the car until he could jump into the bramble. I never went up there with her again. I did write to her there but received no response.
