I know Stevie has done multiple Jim Ladd interviews, and I have the one from 1979. I was just wondering where one would find all of the others? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Besides the interview with Molly Meldrum in 1986, this is my 2nd favorite interview EVER. She gives us all the meanings behind her Tusk songs. I love her dramatic voice when talking about SOTM. (And I just walked in front of a mirror and I was so pale, that it just scared me)

I love this one -- it's the only one I have. Looking forward to the others.
But yes - creepy interview, the whole thing.

One of my favourites! She explains the meanings of SA songs, takes calls, etc. I love the second caller. She sounds upbeat and the Stevie sense of humor comes through, something rare for this era.

Thank you so much for posting it. I can't believe after all these years, something this great has escaped my attention.

I was listening to the '81 Innerview this afternoon, and am I crazy, or are the song clips in a higher key than on the albums? They sounded higher, or sped-up or something. Maybe I was just hearing strange things. Anyone else notice it?

Yep, I was thinking the same thing and thought it could just be my computer, but I guess it's not, so no, it's not just you who thought they sounded sped-up.
Good listening anyway. :)

Sorry! :o That was a rip from tape that I did before using a professional tape deck. For some reason, the old one sped everything up a bit.

I was going to say that it must be the source it came from. I have the original LP"s that were sent to radio for all of these and the songs sound fine on all of them.

Thank you so much for posting it. I can't believe after all these years, something this great has escaped my attention.A friend of mine in 1979--a senior--& I called KMET where Jim was DJ'ing & congratulated him on an outstanding sonic portrait of Stevie Nicks. He talked to us on the telephone. He said how nice Stevie was in person & how important an artist he thought she was. He said that, despite her popularity, he didn't think the audience would ever completely grasp everything this artist had to give--at least not for a generation or two. He talked about her as if she were Picasso or Joyce (which of course is ridiculous).
He was a real hippie, that Jim, & always in love with Stevie Nicks.

I can believe this. His interviews are always the most genuine. I love when the interviewer is actually a FAN like Jim is. He gets right down into the songs and asks Stevie things that I would want to know.

Here is Jim Ladd's interview with Fleetwood Mac in 1976 about the "Fleetwood Mac" album. Here's the thing, I don't know if this is missing a part (it sounds like it is). I transferred this from LP to MP3 some time ago. I'll have to pull the LP's out and see if this is the whole show or if I have the other part but need to transfer it still. Either way, what is here is pretty cool. Stevie is very silly when talking about groupies.

Thank you soooo much for this interview. I never heard this B4 and didn't even know it existed! Anyhoo, I loved the way Stevie dominated the conversations and she cracked me up when she said a woman groupie would worm her way backstage and she grossed me out in a "Silence of the Lambs" kinda way when she talked about the Rhiannon with butterflies coming out of her mouth. I also enjoyed Jim telling the people in the room to quiet down so Christine could be heard.

Indeed, rather silly. There is no one who can compare to Joyce.

 Meh, Joyce. Anyone who has read Finnegan's Wake might want to kill him and scream, "THIS IS NOT ART" in his face.

Stevie's said some stuff I never knew about her
She has asthma
Her and Sandy Stewart wrote nightbird in stevie's living room together (She says how it was her first time) Take that Dave Stewart!
She's talking about One More Big Time Rock And Roll Star in 1983 and how it will be on her next album
