A discussion in "another thread" just gave me an idea - - - Let's have a thread about DREAMS! . . . . :]
What I initially had in mind was a thread about recurring dreams, 'cause those can always be kind of interesting . . . maybe even "illuminating." But let's keep the discussion as open as possible - a thread about dreams in general - both sleeping-type dreams and also hopes and goals and aspirations in life. Hopefully it will be a good discussion! ....
Me, I have two "recurring" dreams that I've always found kind of interesting.
The first is the "climbing up the insides of a tower" dream. This involves climbing up WAY high in the interior of some sort of tower or building - - - there's huge metal pipes going upwards and I'm climbing up and up using those to climb on. The thing is - - - this ONE HUNDRED PERCENT feels like an actual memory of something that I really did. Although I don't think I would have, and I can't for the life of me imagine when or where I would have done this.
The second is The Math Dream. There's a lot of variations of it, but the basic idea is that I'm back in high school, and I've registered for a lot of classes - including a Math class. I go through the entire semester doing well - then all of a sudden it's Finals - - - And I suddenly realize that I had forgotten ALL ABOUT registering for the MATH class! So I've missed every single exam so far and I literally have an average of zero going into the final, as well as NO knowledge of the material that's been covered so far. There's of course several different "variations" of it at that point - sometimes I talk the teacher into letting me sit for the Final - - - and then I forget about it! Or sometimes I take it but fail, etc., or sometimes she just plain won't let me take it at all and I get "left back" and can't graduate high school. Anyway - it's interesting.
So how about YOU guys? :D

I always have dreams about the end of the world. Comets hitting the earth. Floods. Widespread panic. For real. Yeah, not fun stuff. Either that or I dreams about monsters. Zombies and stuff.

Random dream: EVERYTHING was made of Skittles. Houses, lawns, windows, textbooks....... everything but people. We had skittle dogs.
Depressing reoccuring dream: About once a week, I have elaborate dreams that the people I love most randomly leave me... it rotates between people. And they always start totally differently but by the end, its the same. NOT fun.

I seem to have lots of dreams about being able to fly. Invariably, as the dream wears on, I have that ability less and less, until I can't fly at all. Then I wake up. Maybe my dreams are telling me that consciousness is weighing me down...

I had a dream that all of my friends and I were going to this fancy boarding academy. It reminded me of Hogwarts, but we weren't magical or anything. (:() There was this clubhouse thing that only some people could go into, and apparently I was one of those people. All of my friends who have boyfriends were all crowded around me while I was freaking out about something. The guy I liked for like 4503434 years back when I lived in Colorado (See the </3 thread.) was standing right in front of me. I screamed something at him like "SHUT UP, I'M GOING TO GO KILL ALASKA!" and everyone gasped while I ran into the clubhouse. Then I don't remember anything other than me running around the clubhouse (which had lots of bookshelves) and all of the people looked up from their books at me with funny expressions. (Which, really, happens to me quite often in real life.) I then scrambled out the door (Everyone still had those shocked expressions on their face) and threw my arms around him.
"Don't worry, I wasn't really going to kill Alaska!" I said. (???) Then he kissed me (though it didn't look at all like him, but I knew it was him!) and all of sudden I was in another room. Like 5 people sat on the floor when this HUGE brown bear walks on his fours into the room. No one ever said this in the dream, but we all knew that if you touch the bear, it attacks someone. The longer you touch it, the more angry it gets. So everyone kept petting and kicking the bear, and it would attack someone. But it never attacked me. Huh.
Then I woke up (in my dream.) I walked down the stairs with a blanket and laid on a couch in a living room (that was not my own.) where a large TV was on. It was 5:00A.M. in the dream. Then my dad came downstairs and asked what I was doing. I told him I was sleeping downstairs. He said "why?" I was like "go away." So he did. (SHOCKINGLY like real life!)
Fast forward, and I'm in my English teacher's room, but once again it looks nothing like her room. She hands me a paper and tells me to sit in the desk next to the fish tank. We don't have a fish tank. It was super huge and had all these fish that really didn't look like fish, but they were fish.
And then I woke up for real. It was super weird. Sorry I felt the need to post that. It took like 2 hours to write down in my dream book. (Yes, I have a dream book, don't judge!) This is just a simplified version.
Once again, I understand you don't care. But I'm Rhiya. I'm used to it. :D

I have bad dreams all the time, one of the more recent ones.
I had the devil trapped inside a coffin, which had a crystal lid on it.
I was on top looking right down at him, and he was trying to get out.
I remember praying to God in Jesus name to help me and give me the
strength to keep him in there.
In most of my dreams the devil is light skinned and has dark hair.
Looks quite human and scary.
I could update this thread most nights.

In last night's dream I was sitting along the drainage ditch behind my parents house and I was watching a parade of cute little animals walking by- ducks, geese and even a tiger! But then this black bear came along and knocked me off my perch. It then growled at me and put its arm around me. I tried to remain calm as it continued to growl, even though I was convinced that I was going to be decapitated by one sweep of its paw. Suddenly it let me go, and as I turned around to look, the bear looked back, smiled, winked and continued on its way.

I have a recurring dream that I'm a sadistic nine year old boy, and I'm somehow involved in what is the final battle between good and evil. The main action of the dream is that I'm racing against an old wizard to find a book that houses all the secrets of the world, and depending on who finds it first, its discovery will either bring about the world's salvation or destruction. I meet the same characters along the way every time (always the wizard, a princess whose death I intentionally cause, and the little boy's father.)
Well, I had a strange dream last month. I dreamt that I was marrying Mick..... Fleetwood! Now I did not have anything to drink that night or any medications. And I'm already married & I know he is, too. And to top it off, I've never had ANY romantic notions or fantasies about him at all! All I remember was I was rushing around (& my mom was helping me) get dressed. I kept looking for nylons to wear with my wedding dress, but they all had holes in them  of course. I can't remember the actual wedding (which might be a blessing), but I do remember Mick kissing me & me telling him that he might need that little, blue pill later. Next thing I know, I'm at the reception. I'm looking around for Lindsey, Stevie and or John. Of course they aren't there, but their albums are all over the wall at this reception. All these people are there at the reception, but I don't know any of them ,& it's crowded with tables, chairs & people, & then I just wake up. I made the sad mistake of telling my husband & now I get teased about it.

When I was little, I'd have this recurring dream about monsters (think Where the Wild Things Are) that would chase me all around my backyard. Everyone was a monster, even my parents. It would scare the hell out of me.
Real life dreams/goals... I still want to get my RN and work in the NICU with the babies!

I've always been a little bit freaked out that people would feed "Where the Wilds Things Are" to little kiddies - -
I was scared of them when I was a *teenager!* . . .

I had a dream I was adopted by my favorite person ever last night. It was an awesome dream.
In terms of "real life" dreams.... how about publishing a novel within the next 10 years?

A couple of weeks ago, I took a nap with my iPod on. Milgram's 39 (We Do What We're Told) by Peter Gabriel came on shuffle, and it was playing in the background of my dream aswell.
I was walking down the terrace my school is situated on, and I was about to miss the bus. My bus-stop is on the same road as my school, so I was running for it. There were road works which obstructed my route, so I missed it. My three friends were on the bus, and laughing. I stuck my two fingers up at them jokingly. I looked at the bus along from them, and another of my friends was sitting there in a trance, representing her being hypnotised. She looked pretty ethereal, but I could tell it was her. I started running down this long road that in real life leads to another bus stop, but I turned a corner and there was this landfill site. A man with ginger hair in a ponytail (reminded me a bit of Owen off Grey's Anatomy) had a sword and I knocked into him, and apologised. A clone of himself appeared from nowhere, and they had a duel. All the while, this song was playing and at this point it started saying 'we do what we're told'.
I was freaked out, to say the least.

haha! I remember it was my favorite book in kindergarden. On my 6th birthday, my Kg. teacher came to my birthday party, and my gift was that book. I still have it.
