When do they actualy arrive in Australia? is it this weekend?
My best estimate is midnight Saturday Melbourne time, based on Mick's interview on Melbourne radio saying they were leaving Friday (US time).

This is so exciting for me personally to see all of you fine folks "down under" get your chance to see them. I would've loved to have gone to either Australia or New Zealand for some of these shows, but alas airfare and work got in the way!:lol: I'm not complaining though I had a pretty good year. Anyway, like I said I'm very happy and excited for all of you In Aus and NZ. Have a great time and tell lots of stories!

Hi Everyone!!
Tomorrow Is The Big Day!
Who is coming? I'm going tomorrow for Dec1st, got a second row ticket, this will likely be the only show i get up to the stage for, and i haven't organised much else... only bought the ticket last week! Got to charge up the ol camera... would love to do some sound recording for you all, but don't have the equip... :-(
Also going to the second show, don't know where our tickets are... bit suss but bought them from ebay, from some preschool in LA that Mick donated tickets to, and have the "tour manager"'s phone number to call and they put tickets aside for us in the "band section"??? I don't know what to make of it, but these were the only tickets i could get my hands on, very excited to take my step mum to, as she was the one that got me into the band in the first place.
I really want to get good tickets, but won't have the new camera for it...
Feel like i'm letting myself down, i just haven't been super organised this time!
I'm also off to Hunter Valley show this weekend and Brisbane last show.. got to go to the last show of the tour!

Well if getting to the stage is as easy as it was for me in London, you guys should really try for it. The second London show I had 15th row and I just wandered up like 20 min before showtime and stood at the stage right between Lindsey and Stevie and no one said a thing!

Fleetwood Mac hopes winery shows will be bottlers
December 1, 2009
MICK Fleetwood loves Australia so much he is visiting twice this summer.
Over the next two nights, his band Fleetwood Mac will perform hits such as Go your Own Way, Don't Stop, Rhiannon, Gypsy and Tusk before sell-out crowds at Rod Laver Arena.
He will return seven weeks later with the Fleetwood Mac Blues Band to play at country wineries with Boz Scaggs and the Doobie Brothers' Michael McDonald. While only one song - 1967's Oh Well - is likely to feature on both tours, he says the blues band is his way of paying homage to the originators who started the band with him 40 years ago.
''Over my career I've been called a pop star and a rock star, yet in my inner heart, I will always be part blues man,'' says Fleetwood. ''On my journey from blues to a life of rock'n'roll, I've always remembered where I started.''
This week's shows, says Fleetwood, will feature a different set list to its last tour in 2004. Recent lists lean heavily on the classic 1977 Rumours and 1979 Tusk albums, as well as solo songs from members Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.
''This tour will be different because we always usually play new songs - it's always fine and people bear with it - but this time around we don't have a new album,'' he says from his home in Maui, Hawaii. ''After 40 years of being who you are, it's cool to be less selfish. The crowds are loving it because they are emotionally connected to every single song.'' His return trip will be more of a show for blues purists.
''It will be for more of a boutique tour, but I think people will have a lot of fun playing songs like Oh Well, Albatross and Shake your Money Maker - all of the great old stuff that started Fleetwood Mac.''
Fleetwood Mac play Rod Laver Arena tonight and tomorrow. The Mick Fleetwood Blues Band play Sutton Grange Winery, Victoria, on Saturday, February 20, and Balgownie Estate Vineyard Resort & Spa, Yarra Valley, on February 21.

Can someone let me no how the camera situation is 2nite. I dont like all those VERY overt NO CAMERA signs everywhere :§
The band played an awesome show tonight. Stevie was exceptionally happy and put a lot into all her songs. They seemed really pleased to be here - Mick is well recovered, Lindsey his usual best but John looked a bit tired. I hope he is ok. The show was very well received, but...
I must say, they had to work very hard with audience to get the kind of reactions I saw during my six shows in the US earlier this year. My home town crowd did not respond the way I was used to, so that was disappointing. E.g. very little cheering to Stevie story about Gypsy, even though she kept adding more and more to it! The audience got going late in the night with GYOW and Don't Stop, so that was ok.
The lack of cheering wasn't helped by the meaness of security only letting the first six rows up. It wasn't enough, as many older people did not want to stand all night, so it was the smallest bunch up the front I have seen. They will hopefully relax this for future shows so a packed crowd up the front can go off like the US ones did! We managed to get up there for Silver Springs (from row 12).
Off to bed now. Hope to a get a good ticket tomorrow and try again!
PS - for the person who asked about cameras - security were obessively strict about ehm too - none allowed!
cheers, Gazz

I love the thought of Stevie adding to the Gypsy story.
The band is sensitive to crowd reaction, so maybe there will be changes made at the next show based on the dampened response they received tonight.
Thanks for the review!

Ugh! Dean, are you reading this? Fix this pronto!
I was a bit concerned that they would be all jetlagged and sleep-deprived, so it's good to hear that things went off without a hitch. And "Silver Springs" means Mama's not under the weather. I could just imagine that Mick was probably quarantined somewhere in the back of the plane while everyone else donned surgical masks (with little piggy noses drawn on them) in the front.

Rod Laver Arena, last night
Reviewer Patrick Donovan
DESPITE being mired in acrimony, Fleetwood Mac's finest album, Rumours, has sold more than 30 million copies around the world. And singer-guitarist Lindsey Buckingham said it was worth suffering for their art.
''We've had a fairly complex, convoluted and emotional history - it's not always been easy - but in the long run, it's been worth it,'' he said.
With no new album to spruik, last night the band played a greatest-hits set for the fans at Rod Laver Arena, focusing on songs from Rumours, the 1975 self-titled album and 1979's more adventurous Tusk.
Monday Morning, The Chain, Dreams, Gypsy and Rhiannon set the scene before Mick Fleetwood emerged from the drum kit to lead the band in its tribal anthem, Tusk.
There was the odd solo track from Stevie Nicks and Buckingham, but the band has become so omnipresent that Fleetwood will return in February with his other group, the Fleetwood Mac Blues Band, to play the group's early blues material.
Draped in a black shawl and wearing leather gloves, twirling and clutching at the black scarves dangled over the microphone stand, Nicks' husky US west coast voice was as mesmerising as ever.
At the end of Sarah she approached Buckingham's microphone, lowered it and sang the last line before embracing her ex-lover.
On the first night of summer, it was a reminder to the ecstatic cross-generational crowd that music can heal the deepest rifts.

Ok. Is "spruik" a word? I'm going to use it all over the place when I'm in Australia and you guys will never know I'm a tourist!
Michele
Gazz i was row 11 on Lindsey side where were you? We were actually row 11, not row 12, on Stevie's side, right on the left aisle.
A few more things to report:
The friend I went with is an experienced concert-goer but this was his first mac concert. He was very impressed with the performance and had a great time, but commented on the sound - Stevie's mic is too low and Lindsey drowns her out on harmonies too often. I hadn't noticed this in the US because I was always at the stage, so not sure if this has occurred elsewhere.
Further to my comments on the audience, people tell me that Australian audiences are, in general, quiet and don't cheer that much when artists are talking, because the culture here is to listen until they are finished. It was a little surprise to see Stevie thrown off when she was used to getting the cheers all through her Gypsy preamble. Lindsey received less cheering too but I loved how they kept working the audience until everyone was rocking at the end. They would have been knocked out with the packed venue, because all the US ones I went to were not completely full.
For me, the experience was less rewarding that the US concerts, mainly because I wasn't up front and the different audience, but I think the crowd in general had a fantastic night and were very impressed.
The final leg of "Unleashed" will hopefully be seen as a great success!

Did you know Stevie has a husky US West Coast voice? What if she was from NYC? Would she then have a husky East Coast voice?

It's super exciting just even thinking that FM are finally here in Australia! It's now less than 2 weeks until I see them, and I can't wait. It's great to hear those of you who went last night with some really positive things to say.
Gazz, I've only ever been to concerts here in Brisbane, but I'm generally appalled by the apparent lack of crowd enthusiasm. In saying that, people who look completely disinterested will still rave about the concert afterwards -- so I'm sure they're enjoying it on the inside ;) . I think it definitely varies with where you sit though, with the front and sometimes the whole floor a much rocking-er place than anywhere else. In short, everyone squeeze to the front where you can!
Ok. Is "spruik" a word? I'm going to use it all over the place when I'm in Australia and you guys will never know I'm a tourist!
Michele
I never knew spruik wasn't a 'real' word!
I had to Google it to be told that, yep, it's essentially an Australian slang term. Thankfully the ABC tells me that I'm not the only one likely to have missed the fact that it is "one of Aussie English’s contributions to the world." I guess that's along with other cracking phrases like "she'll be apples", "we'll give it a burl", "stop carrying on like a pork chop" and, one of my personal favourites, "up the duff".

Second show was amazing! no Silver Springs, but the band played and sounded better, tonight i was on Stevie's side of the stage and she was better than the first night! My sister came with me tonight having never been to a Mac show and all she could say was "i see why you followed Lindsey around the US he is incredible" it's great justification for me lol  she did feel that Stevie songs were somewhat more "boring" than linds! great moment to mention was during the band intro's Stevie was standing behind John and crept up on him and she scared the **** out of him, it was quite funny.
All in all a better show than the first night due to Stevie hitting some killer notes and Lindsey just kicking ass like normal!
well onto Sydney!

Hi everyone, i just got home.... tired and got to go to bed for work tomorrow, BUT i will be uploading photo's tomorrow! and i recorded storms on my camera, so will upload it to share with you all.
Will quickly say, i thought stevie was better the first night, in the getting into the song way. However, she was more interactive with the audience tonight, waving at the end and going to the side of the stage to wave to the people on the very side sections, i took a few pics of this.
I hope to have time to get these pics up before i'm off to the hunter valley.... at which i intend on veideo'ing the enitre concert... thats if security lets me

Holy effin ****...this show was 50x betta than all the syw shows i went 2. Stevie is just the most gorgeous bitch eva. My earz r stil ringn. Proper review wen i can get 2 a comp...just WoAH" no SS tho :(
Just got home like the others and need to get to bed, but just a quick post to say that I went back tonight to "wind down" off my emotional rollacoaster of the mac tour this year. The six US shows were so awesome and if you've read my earlier posts, I was disappointed with the crowd here last night but not the band.
Tonight I had no ticket, but got one at 7.15pm up the back (for the first time) and that was great for tonight - no presssure to get to the stage and I just took it all in. The crowd was much better than last night and the performance was perhaps slightly less than last night from Stevie, but Lindsey still amazing. Sad there was no Silver Springs. Perhaps she is pacing herself.
So, that's my last Mac concert for this year and who knows if I'll ever see another, but all the very best to those seeing other Aussie shows this month. Have a ball and I hope security is kind to you!
cheers, Gazz

Well, I a couple of hours ago - I walked into the great Rod Laver Arena, to be Unleashed! It was my first concert ever, and it is now a memory close to my heart. I was particullay surprised with the amount of work LB put into the show - SN kept walking off in the songs in which 'she wasn't needed'. Stevie was hilarious! she kept telling jokes and what not through out the night. Tonight the crowd went crazy, and Mick soaked it all up. You should of seen his encore for World Turning - in which he did a crazy 5 minute drum solo. John seemed quite, as he is - playing his nice little bass.
Even though I had stomach cramps, I loved this concert!

I have to disagree strongly with all the drop SS from the set comments and here's why:
I would have never heard it performed live if they dropped it. This tour was my first time ever seeing them live and I would have been really really disappointed if I had not been able to hear it. Also, (and I think Stevie et. al knows this), the song really jump started them again in '97. It was that song with that performance on The Dance that started this whole thing over for them, so to leave it out of the set entirely just doesn't seem right.
It's very wise to do as they've been doing, let Stevie have a break from it if they do 2 shows in a row and give her voice a break but to also not ignore such a signature song. I think the fans expect to hear it and really long to hear it and this way, the majority of crowds have had the pleasure of hearing it.
I really think it's a great closer too.

December 3, 2009 by Andrew Watt
I’ll admit that I was expecting the Fleetwood Mac concert to be a pleasant exercise in nostalgia and the opportunity to hear a few good (even great) old songs played competently by a band that was just on the positive side of going through the motions. I thought that there would be a few memories bought back and a slightly uncomfortable feeling that perhaps I’d be a willing participant in a session of dead horse flogging.
It’s not that I hadn’t been long time fan. I had begged my Mum to let me go the their Calder Park Rockarena concert in the 70’s (to no avail), I’d bought Rumours and the self titled album and Tusk and even a couple of vinyl bootleg albums. I’d had a schoolboy crush on Stevie Nicks and played Belladonna until the needle had worn through the vinyl.
But somehow through the passage of time and discovery of other music I’d kind of lost perspective on the band and their music. I’d consigned them to the ranks of Gold FM staples, and neglected the numerous strong album tracks and become blasé and a bit numbed to the impact of the half dozen songs that you hear frequently in the ether.
The line up changes, the half baked comeback albums and the saturation of personality based “colour” pieces in magazines had tarnished my memory of the band.
All that combined to cause me to seriously under-estimate this concert.
Last night they rehabilitated themselves totally in my eyes. (although I hesitate to say “rehabilitated” when talking about Fleetwood Mac!)
The first inkling that we were in for something special came with the first song Monday Morning. I’d almost forgotten that this song existed and it was a uplifting way to start the show. It lead into The Chain – surely a statement of intent for the band, then and now - and as the song built and Lindsey Buckingham’s guitar grew in intensity I started to remember just how much depth they had in their repertoire.
The start of the show wasn’t flawless. On Dreams the vocals of Nicks and Buckingham just didn’t seem to blend and I momentarily thought that the concert might struggle to reach great heights.
A couple of songs later Stevie told the story of how she had met Lindsey and how they came to be in a (pre Fleetwood Mac) band together. While the reason for the story was to introduce Gypsy it served a higher purpose as well. It immediately became apparent that the unspoken theme of the night was a celebration of the Nicks/Buckingham relationship. There was so much love and affection on display between the two it could have been horribly annoying but the sincerity was such that the audience were completely in tune with them.
In a way the concert was a very public act of acceptance, of understanding and reconciliation by two people who have realised that the emotional agonies of the past were just too far gone now to matter any more.
Buckingham’s solo song Go Insane was a welcome inclusion before Stevie performed her signature song Rhiannon. To be completely honest it was a dogs breakfast with her phrasing and the harmonies all over the place but it hardly mattered.
However the concert totally kicked into gear with Second Hand News. This is an under-rated song in the Fleetwood Mac songbook and when it gave way to Tusk the concert was up and away.
Sara gave us the magical and not at all cheesy Stevie/Lindsey ’moment’ but it was the next song Big Love that was the eye popper. Buckingham explained that the song was an important one to the evolution of his music and then proceeded to play some rock guitar that would have him ranked with the gods of the instrument.
Somewhere along the way I realised that I’d also under-rated Lindsey Buckingham. Perhaps its because he was only ever one of three lead singers in Fleetwood Mac, perhaps its because the band bore the names of Fleetwood and McVie, perhaps its due to the commercial solo success and media infatuation with Stevie or perhaps because he chose to leave the band for a lengthy period. Whatever the reason Buckingham has not received the credit due.
On the evidence of his performance last night he is one of the great artists of contemporary rock music. He’s a staggeringly good guitarist who plays with passion and integrity. He’s a great singer and he works tirelessly to deliver a performance that could never be described as perfunctory. His guitar playing in I’m So Afraid was Neil Young level mid-blowing. This was so far away from “easy-listening” it wasn’t funny!
Stevie best vocal for the night came on Landslide which she delivered beautifully and she did a good job with her other signature song Gold Dust Woman.
As the concert drew to a close with the obvious big finish of Go Your Own Way they had well and truly exceeded expectations.
While John McVie is rock solid and Mick Fleetwood remains a really good and fluid drummer (and a utterly loveable personality, in a crazy uncle kinda way), there’s no doubting that this is a show where Lindsey Buckingham’s star is in the absolute prime position.
This show was almost identical to the setlist from right across the tour and lets not kid ourselves that we got any special treatment. It’s quite probably that even the spontaneous moments were well rehearsed, or at least were well tested. But even allowing for this there was a real joy and commitment in the performance that had me believing all over again.
You cant possibly ask more than that.

Stevie was standing behind John and crept up on him and she scared the **** out of him, it was quite funny.
Ryan
That is the funniest thing ever. I can't believe that John could be startled on stage with all the stuff going on. If it hadn't been Stevie, it could have been a crew guy. But I just get this hilarious picture of him being scared and Stevie's reaction to her own success in surprising him. Great fun. Thanks for telling us.

Going their own way along an endless road
THE addition of Californian duo Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham to the rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie transformed Fleetwood Mac from a tight blues outfit to one of the outstanding pop successes of the 1970s. Far from curtailing the band's creativity, the tumult of intra-band affairs and substance abuse that characterised Fleetwood Mac at the time provided the fuel for some of pop music's most enduring tracks.
Now into its fifth decade, Fleetwood Mac was in Melbourne to begin the Australian leg of its Unleashed world tour. Opening with Monday Morning from 1975's Fleetwood Mac, the group was true to its promise for a show replete with classic hits.
Dressed in black and wearing platform boots with her trademark tassels, Nicks projected a gothic-boho visual aesthetic. Despite some warbling renditions of her signature tracks, Rhiannon, Gypsy and Dreams, Nicks remains a charismatic stage performer, and the theatrical antics that heralded the finale of Gold Dust Woman attracted wild applause from the crowd.
Clad in black britches, tights, white shirt, waist-coat and with bells dangling from his belt, Fleetwood looked more like a Morris dancer than a seasoned blues veteran. On bass McVie was typically enigmatic, his bass playing a model of elegance and precision.
While the rhythm section of Fleetwood and McVie is as precise as it was in the band's blues era of yore, it was Buckingham's frequent stadium rock-sized guitar solos that stole the show. In tracks such as Second Hand News, I Know I'm Not Wrong and Go Your Own Way Buckingham relived the drama of his break-up with Nicks.
The rest of the band filed into the wings, leaving Buckingham centre stage for an acoustic version of Big Love from 1987's Tango in the Night. Nicks returned to join him for Landslide, before Fleetwood and McVie returned to the stage for the rarely performed Storms.
In World Turning Fleetwood entertained the crowd with an extended drum solo punctuated with shrieking chants, before the first encore concluded with the perennial baby boomer anthem Don't Stop. The night ended on a softer note as Nicks led the band through the ballad-like Silver Springs.
The continuing absence of vocalist and keyboard player Christine McVie ensured this was never going to be a perfect Fleetwood Mac show. But it was a night full of hits, and for that we could excuse the lingering sense of self-indulgence that remains synonymous with Fleetwood Mac.
Fleetwood Mac play December 5 at Hope Estate Winery, NSW, December 7 and 8 at Acer Arena in Sydney, December 11 and 12 at Members Equity Stadium, Perth and December 15 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

Omg my first Fleetwood Mac concert ever as I am only 18 and it was more than I had hoped for.
I was so close (not close enough to go to the stage :().
It was so awesome I have fallen for Stevie evn more so..
I did see Stevie scare John too lol somehow I thought John was possibly high just because he was so involved in what seemed like nothing enough for Stevie to be able to accidently scare him.. Lindseys mic was certainly louder I noticed this when he would provide back up to Stevie in a few songs..
Stand Back is still one of my favs I went wild for her then.. Sad about SS I was informing everyone around..
Theres still 1 more encore and it went down the row like a whisper in the wind and to my embarresment the lights flicked on and it was done. Shame I didn't get to meet, touch, be acknowledged or swept away into her limo by Stevie. I was the guy in the vest and hat that danced and stood most the show at the front left end of E section if anyone was around. Well done FM I was rocked off my feet by my fave band ever!!

Another one of my favourites! Although I do think it has British origins...
I actually thought his description was hilarious and rather apt to be honest. I loved his recognition that, even though it can sound like a bit a train wreck, its awesome nonetheless.
I actually liked the perspective he took in his whole review (and it's a super review). Having only fully discovered FM less than 2 years ago, I can identify with having "consigned them to the ranks of Gold FM staples".
And this....

I'm still yet to have my first live taste but that's one of the things that really stood out for me when I first started watching videos of LB live. My younger brother loves playing the guitar, and I desperately tried to convince him that the FM concert wouldn't all be the daggy, 'easy-listening' stuff he was expecting. I'm bitterly disappointed that my efforts failed, because I just know LB would blow him away.
Looks like it's left up to me to be blown away for him

excuse this for being all random, i'm still grinning like an idiot.
just a few things i think were note worthy.
firstly, i think Stevie is sick. She sounds like she has a cold, well it sounded like it to me when she was talking...huskier than usual  she was definitely hitting a few high notes she doesn't normally but she also cracked one or 2 on Storms...but i like imperfections. that's why i go to concerts. And Stevie is always flawless to me.
that being said, i am a Stevie fan primarily. have only started an interest in Lindsey over the past 2 years or so, but WOAH i was just blown away by him. he was really working the crowd and was just so pumped and full of energy. I dont know how many redbulls he drinks, he's freaking CRAZY...but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sexy :o
Someone's talked here about Stevie's tambo being de-rattled? so she can bang it around all she wants to the sounds of silence? er NO...i think it was on GYOW or something towards the end and you can definitely hear her rattling the tambo totally IN TIME with the drums, right in front of the mic. I was actually surprised to hear her tambo at all, normally i dont notice it.
The gypsy intro...I have to say, i think the audience was silent here because they were LISTENING to the story. it's not that they weren't impressed or anything. Stevie seemed like she talked forever...she talked for like 3 minutes haha she's so cute. I recorded it, my bro will have to cut it for me if anyone wants to hear it.
And her getting liberated/Deliberated confused omg that was the funniest thing EVER...even funnier when just the other day i was watching that clip Caitlin posted from the TimeSpace tour with the band intros and Stevie didn't know her left from her right haha that's all i could think of. She laughs at herself, that's even funnier :D
SnL seem much more in sync and ... i don't know, just better together on this tour than SYW. I REALLY like Lindsey singing on Stevie's songs, especially Sara, his vocal is more prominent, and the "Baby I would go anywhere, anywhere, anywhere..." i think is my new fave line. They sing to each other nicer. It's hard to explain. LOVE lindsey's "actions" to her songs too, especially in GDW
Song Highlights
NGBA... omg this is the sexiest thing ever with their whispering...not generally one of my fave songs. but last night changed that
GDW - the audience ate this one up. Stevie's pre shadow "stagger" ... and wotever she's adlibbing ... brilliant.
Storms - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah high notes. cracked notes, it was beautiful.
Go Insane - i like the song on the record, but live...i like it raw
Landslide - i dislike this song. but live OMG! everyone singing ALL the words... At a Stevie show it's good, but at a Mac show.... CHILLS
SARA - okay...i have a soft spot for this coz of the SnL squee factor. so i kinda wasn't concentrating towards the end, and I swear...it was like the whole audience were ledgies and they all knew what was coming coz it was like everyone sat up a bit straighter and were more attentive when she walked over to him  oh how i'd love to be that guitar. i know there's all the staged-act convos about SYW and this tour, but that hug seems pretty genuine and they're both so smiley afterwards. my lil heart just 'sploded.
Though i did really like his blowing her a kiss too...i forget if that was Sara or another song, theyre so silly!
something totally random, at breakfast at my hotel yesterday morning, this lady was on the phone talking to someone about the concert and how UNREAL it was and how she'd pay 1000s of $$ to go see it again. This morning at breakfast, the table beside me was talking about last night's show and rambling off their Mac facts to each other lol "and yes, Stevie is still blonde" lol WTF....at the train station people were talking about it. Waiting to go home at the airport, this guy was on the phone talking about the show too..everyone is just raving about it. makes me so proud.
We stayed around til just before midnight waiting for the band to leave. it was pretty eerie being out under the full moon and crazy people singing Dreams REALLY REALLY loud in the dark  but waves we did get. Stevie is super cute in her lil sunnies and big, ominous car. the dude beside me thought it was hilarious that Stevie is so tiny and she gets the GIANT car...well deserved i would say. oooh yeah and during Mick's introductions, he said he, Linds and John all know to behave around the "lady" of the band, coz she knows all their dirt.....bwaaaaaaaaah hahahaha does he always say that? coz that was priceless.
pissed about the cameras. security were bastards.

 i dont even remember where that convo was going
she was talking before a song...not Gypsy... it was later in the set
OOOh it was before Storms. i think it was when she was talking about them adding the song to the set for this tour and she couldn't get "deliberated/deliberating" out and was like "liberated?" and said it like 5 times and then was like pffft haha and gave up. she was frustrated. it was HILARIOUS!

Just thinking of the Gypsy intro, it's funny to me when Stevie says that Lindsey doesn't like to talk on the phone, because he sure was quick to call Tony in Destiny Rules and he made a dramatic point with his phone calls in his solo dvd. So, he may not like to make phone calls, but he loves to use them as props.
Actually, I wonder why he didn't call Stevie himself to ask her to join Fritz. Was he shy?

I hope Stevie's not sick...I mean, I don't care in terms of the quality of the show etc if she IS sick, she's perfect to me anyway, but I don't want HER to feel sick or bad or worried about not performing as well. I think I myself might be getting a cold or something and am just relieved that if I am, at least I'll have time to get rid of it before the show!! I do NOT want to be sick for that show!!!!

Funny! I wonder too why Bob called her but Stevie has said many times Lindsey called and would either change it to Bob or not.
I love how all his phones are corded in his solo doc. Makes me think of Stevie's adamant tyrades against current technology and Lindsey still using tape to record. I can appreciate it, from the generational standpoint, but it is so...archaic...

Oh, I see what you mean about her limosine being large. How does that work with women? Is it compensation for small breasts or . . ..
Michele
are you making fun of Stevie's boobs?
there's gonna be an angry mob of SOTBs after you ;)
Stevie was like the only one in her car. there was a driver and some dude in the front passenger side. She had a Rolls. Lindsey had a beamer. John...no idea and I didn't wait around for Mick :o

What? Stevie hugged people? Do you mean band mates / road crew or do you mean the crowd waiting after the show???
She didn't hug anyone waiting for her after her solo show we were at in 2006!!! We waited!! Dammit! lol
At that show, she and her people left in a pack of silver lovely but fairly non-descript Mercedes.

Well, in actuality, Stevie's breasts are neither too large nor too small.
Yes, I want to know who she hugged when she left too!

I love the thought of Stevie adding to the Gypsy story.
That reminds me--
This is connected to Melbourne in no way, shape or form, BUT I thought I should let you guys know that Marissa and I went on an EPIC search for the Los Gatos address and we couldn't find it anywhere. We did a looooooooot of lying to a few San Jose State librarians in order to get our hands on both old phone books and the school directories-- to no avail. We then went to, what, three other public libraries? We were determined and nothing came out of it. We did, however, get Stevie's old dorm room address... But we think she was only there for a year, if not less.
ANYWAY, I'm so hapy for you guys but SO JEALOUS. I've been having Fleetwood Mac related nightmares lately (yes, I know I'm lame and obsessive) and all of a sudden, the fear of never seeing the band again has become so.... real. But I loooooove reading your reviews and hearing all the details.

thanks DoubtfulMiracle for those great videos! Looks like it was a great show...Stevie in particular seems to be having a great time. I love the little dance she does in the very beginning of Monday Morning. She's not usually that "loosened up" at the start of the show. I haven't heard SYLM that much from this tour but I must say I like what they've done with it. Stevie and Lindsey definitely have made it their own and it works (though I will always miss Chris!) And Sara sounded wonderful, they've really perfected it on this tour! Thanks again

Oh, what intrepid fans. Wonderful sleuthing. I think it's great that you found Stevie's dorm room. One day I will have to look up Fairfax and Orange Grove and see what's around there.

I'm going to put lace and paper flowers on the doorstep, along with a little note that says, "Stevie Nicks lived in this dorm!" It's creepy, but soooooooo worth it.
And that "Gypsy" introduction is epic. I don't understand how she can consistently be the cutest person to ever breathe.

Michele
she came out with about 4 or 5 men and women...
waved to all the crazy people on the balcony :D
she did like 3 group photos with them all
she hugged one of the men and one of the ladies
i have no idea who they were
she was out there for a few minutes
it was just interesting to watch
coz Linds, John...and I assume Mick come out pretty much by themselves and leave BY THEMSELVES  and Stevie has this pod of people around her always.
no way would she have hugged everyone waiting for her there were 100s of people...and if i thought for a moment i could get a hug from her i would have risked broken arms and legs, jumped over the railing and slid down the garden to get to her  but then i wouldn't be here replying coz i'd be DEAD

Hey, was there a support act/band at the Melb concert? (I'm asking this about the Syd concert too)
I still don't know whether what I heard about it being Ella Hooper's new band is true.
