I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and very HAPPY Thanksgiving to all~

We all have SO much to be Thankful for.. I know I do.. And SOOO thankful to have made MANY wonderful friend's here! :thumbsup:

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm getting started a little early, this morning I made pumpkin cupcakes, cranberry salad, stuffing, and there's a turkey in the oven! (it's for a ready-made meal on Friday, we're having prime rib at Grandma's tomorrow) Safe travels to everyone as well!

Yes it is. Our family always gets together over someones house and we eat turkey and pie. Everyone has the day off - for school we have off 3 1/2 days! :D

i get off 4 glorious days!!!!~ i haven't had a day off since may 7th & 8th when i took 2 days off to see the mac~

Happy Thanksgiving all! This is one American custom that was very easy to embrace--I think it's become my favourite holiday. Food, friends, family, football (of the European variety), four day weekend...bliss.

My thanks to all you Ledgies for sharing your knowledge, your archives and your general observations on all things FM.

Awwww you're SOO welcome! This was a fun one to start! I hope you have fun getting everything ready! I got with my Mom earlier and made a banana cream pie, along with the green bean casserole, stuffing, and potatoes, and all she's going to have to do in the morning is pop dat bird in! YUM! LOL.. I don't agree with what the day is based on, the idea that animals are bred en mass purely to fill stomachs on this day, and just how decadently it's felt that you ought to "celebrate". But I do agree with the premise that thanks should be given for the lives we lead now, when we could have easily gotten a worse deal in life. And that we should stop and take notice of how lucky we are, and be thankful for what we take for granted and what we waste on a daily basis because we don't appreciate the little things.

So happy Thanksgiving to my American friends, and happy "Stop and Think" day to the rest of the world.
